Hello all - welcome to our February thread for 2018. Everyone is welcome and it's never too late to join in. We are decluttering our homes and keeping them clean and tidy(ish) as well as having some general chat as well.

We follow the Flylady method, and will post links daily to the missions via the Flylady website. For more information, have a look at www.flylady.net/

Here's to a fun February for all of us (with the occasional prod from the pointy stick of motivation and visits to the naughty corner Cake Brew Wine ) Grin

Bronchiolitis :( doctor was really thorough. Didn't need to show him the video as she was hacking up all sorts anyway. Forgot to ask about jabs but the receptionist said it's my call, they'll happily do them as long as she's not feverish but equally they'd understand if I don't feel comfortable doing them while she is ill

Forgot to add toostressy scout cats a nervous chewer and he has drops in his food that chill him out(£4ish a bottle)he's out of them at present.if I can remember brand would you be interested to know?

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 21/02/2018 18:13

Yes please zoo. We have deli way plugged in on vets’ advice but I could ask about those drops too.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 21/02/2018 18:14

Feliway not deli way! Cag, I’m no expert on baby vaccinations but I really would make it clear to the nurse / whoever is doing them that she is ill and then they can advise when best to do them.

FoolandFitz · 21/02/2018 20:14

Goodness zoo that is a list and a half - no wonder you are going to collapse in a heap, especially the time you were up and about.
Poor cagletini Sad
fresh I remember DS doing that. He still does crazy stuff ie flood the bathroom floor because he wanted to sink a ship in the basin so he put the plug in, left the tap running, left the room and promptly forgot all about it. That was 2 weeks ago.
toostressy how was the fairy trail?
foxes I was looking at holidays last night. All the places I liked were expensive and out of my price range Sad I feel a bit meh about where to go in the UK actually as the last few years we have been to the same place in Dorset and I want to try somewhere new but not sure where.

More ta-da:
Got rid of cobwebs and dust off the corners of ceilings etc
Helped DS finish off his Lego build
Went to dentist for DS and myself

Bowerbird5 · 21/02/2018 22:44

Sorry I didn't get back earlier. IPad not charged.
Well initially all was quiet as several sensible people parked early. Only our road was closed so some parked in adjacent road. Fed chicken and put kettle on but didn't get time for brew before it kicked off. Several cars making wild reversing attempts two cheeky parkers parking on friends drive which meant they can't get out. One failed to stop and give way to oncoming traffic and very nearly took out the car coming down the hill. Two individual kids nearly reversed into. One mothers standing hovering waiting to cross road at the junction. Safer if she had walked children across grass but I suppose tooo messy. Wagon with chicken feed arrived to go to chicken farm. Struggled to get through due to parking on the junction and inconsiderate parking. Thought he was going to scrape one. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a bucket of tea.
Had feet done. Went out as lovely day. DH asked where I would like to go so I mention lovely hotel by the lake ...and he took me😳 did several hours sorting and planning from four till eight. Off to sleep now.
Poor baby.g

Cagliostro · 21/02/2018 23:52

ta da continued
✅played some games with DS, DH and DSS who popped over, nice family fun
✅doctors with baby
✅more laundry
✅bath
✅bought a vaporiser thing although forgot to set it up tonight so will have to try tomorrow. Got more muslin cloths too since she’s more pukey at the mo.

No more home ed though, due to visitors and such. There’s always something! That’s why I need to really get organised, so that we manage better around unexpected things however nice they are!

Think we might have to miss our first club of the year tomorrow too :( will still go to trampolining as I need to sort stuff with the coach and baby usually sleeps through it, but she seems to suffer more in the evenings and it’ll be pitch black and cold on the way home from St. John so I don’t think it’s a good idea.

I am liking the idea of a Deli (rather than Feli) way device for cats. Perhaps it sends out meat or fish scents!

zoo that was a busy day! Pity you skipped the pampering, you deserve it!
Bower parking mayhem! I am amazed by people who ignore roadworks/restrictions etc and park as normal rather than doing the obvious and avoiding it or leaving room for everyone else.
fresh ta da - na da made me laugh!
foxes my to-do list is reaching epic proportions too
Stressy her (DD) idea of a lie in and yours might be worlds apart Grin hope the cat is OK and we have a large box of Doh Vinci here too.
Goth Post Office - was there a queue, I've found first thing to be more successful if I don't want to lose a lot of time.
Cag hope Cagletini is doing OK, really vicious bugs around at the moment.
Cordelia that reorg of the storage sounds fab!
Fool I want pancakes now

I could have done all this earlier, but I was enjoying myself on the BRITS thread. Mainly saying 'who are these people' when they showed the nominees. Even DD who is our resident music fan didn't know half of them and that included the Rolling Stones tbh.

I did do some ironing and shopping today, went to craft class and did some washing up. Minute bit of tidying. Added to the to-do list. Ticked one thing off. Always tomorrow ....

Steamcloud · 22/02/2018 10:36

Waves to all from (literally) freezing but bright and sunny countryside!

No Flying (so feel a fraud posting here) but have been marking tree branches with neon spray, overseeing removal of rotten trees, clearing wheel barrow loads of twiggy branches, marking out veg plot, overseeing field drainage works, tracking down gate and fencing merchant, made lots of soup and currant cake for seventy year old neighbour who is sleeping on her sofa and is up and down in the night during lambing season.. Two more lambs have arrived at my neighbour's btw (one I was invited to witness!) - will post pic later - didn't realise how much they sleep in first 12 hrs! Just like human babies! Love it when twin lambs feed from mother sheep and their tails wiggle in unison! (Can't get near enough to take a photo of that though without disturbing them.)

Also discovering that thirty years behind a desk does not prepare one for agricultural life! Have aches and pains in muscles where I didn't know I had muscles ifyswim! Grin. Not helped by lingering vertigo which can make life interesting ie daren't drive yesterday!

Also keep disturbing resident hare on my walkabouts. Fascinated by him. He is huge! Must be so cold because they don't sleep underground in burrows like rabbits I don't think. Must research!

Steamcloud · 22/02/2018 10:38

Humungous waves to all fledglings btw! Hope lingering colds and bugs are clearing up! It's going to be v cold next week I think but spring is definitely on its way!

Cagliostro · 22/02/2018 11:45

Morning all. Fail of a day here. Still in bed with Cagletini but not even making the most of the time by napping with her as I'm too wired and anxious. Bed is also covered in laundry (clean but needs sorting and I just can't seem to). I may have to venture downstairs for food at some point but I'm in that sort of paralyzed by anxiety state. Caglets are fending for themselves. Fail.

foxessocks · 22/02/2018 12:03

cag the day isn't over yet Flowers

Dd is 4 today so we've had an early start with her excitedly opening presents before nursery school!!
