Hello all - welcome to our February thread for 2018. Everyone is welcome and it's never too late to join in. We are decluttering our homes and keeping them clean and tidy(ish) as well as having some general chat as well.

We follow the Flylady method, and will post links daily to the missions via the Flylady website. For more information, have a look at www.flylady.net/

Here's to a fun February for all of us (with the occasional prod from the pointy stick of motivation and visits to the naughty corner Cake Brew Wine ) Grin

Bowerbird5 · 19/02/2018 20:08

Thanks everyone. Done nothing today and not planning to either so 😛 fly lady! Coped. Lovely to see the kids and had lots of hugs from the minute I walked through the gate.
Tired when I came home and almost had a nap but went to feed chicken and fresh air woke me up. Will be off to bed early. Class teaching tomorrow.

I get migraine but have never had one for two weeks that must have been awful FF

Cagliostro · 19/02/2018 22:00

Ooh I’ll look for that thanks not tried it before. Can’t raise the cot as she doesn’t have one 😳 she’s in a Moses basket still but in with me propped on my arm while she’s poorly

God what a stressy evening. Panicky phonecalls from various relatives about another relative. Sigh. I get the feeling this is going to be commonplace for a while.

No tidying done.

ta da continued
✅more admin re trampolining, book party etc

Afreshcuppateaplease · 19/02/2018 22:17

The calpol plug in smells so good i am now tempted to go plug it in

But i wont Blush

Wh0KnowsWhereTheT1meG0es · 19/02/2018 23:23

Not only was it half term last week but I have had to spend hours (probably about 10 so far) re-writing the very sparse draft EHCP that the local authority have produced for DS (who had a perfectly good statement of SEN but now has to be transferred to the new system). Not happy, but it won't be sparse when I've finished with it. DH has stepped up a bit with the housework but I am falling behind with admin yet again. Off to bed, just wanted to vent. .

HillsBesideTheSea · 19/02/2018 23:44

Good job i didn't break the MN no unexpected visitors rule and knock-on the other day then whoknows drove through your town on the way to spend money refresh my spirit with some yarn goodness. Is there anyway to get some help like you and swan (?) did years ago for the old system?

Cagliostro · 20/02/2018 00:08

Oh well I made it nearly 4 months post birth before getting a pain flare that made me want to cry. That’s not bad going I suppose. Hmm

Hoping it’s a brief one. TBF a whole lot of crap has been going on lately and I’m not looking after myself enough.

ta da
✅yet more admin for various things
✅taekwondo
✅EFND (new official acronym for everyone fed...)
✅ordered fuck knows what from Tesco for tomorrow

Bloody hell so much to do tomorrow. First pupils coming, I’m finally doing my first lesson. Feeling nervous. Living room a tip.

Thankfully no tap class this week, and due to Cagletini being ill I’ve also cancelled the trip to buy DS his shoes, so after half ten we can rest at home, hopefully get some more home ed stuff done as today’s happenings somewhat fucked that up.

Cagliostro · 20/02/2018 00:10

Sorry about the EHCP stuff. I need to look into doing that. I have only ever heard difficult and scary things about the whole system so you have my sympathy 💐

CotswoldStrife · 20/02/2018 00:13

I very nearly managed to post on the right side of midnight day but it takes me so long to comment on all the posts!

No flying here today. Was out at the garage all day (car MOT and service), collected DD from school and then took her to an activity. We usually call in to a fast food establishment for her tea as we are so late back, tonight's KFC offering was not her usual due to their supplier problems (when you only really serve chicken, not getting your chicken supplies is not good) and I had to ring DH from the car park to put extra supplies into the oven at home Grin

Fool that sound grim, could it be a cluster headache - they are hideous, hope you get an appt with a neuro within a decent timeframe. I was putting Vicks on DD and myself last week and I do think it helped.
Cag good to hear Cagletini is doing better, my DD used to get temperature spikes after a virus.
Stressy happy birthday to your little one, glad the party was good.
Bower good to hear that work went well but you must be shattered!
zoo I was in my early forties when I had DD ....
fresh yay for a kind of sleep in at last!
waves to flyingjelly, no-one has done less than me threadwise this month Grin, I'm so behind!
SC is the inspection over with now, pity the sheep couldn't help out with a sudden lambing crisis for you
whoknows that sounds beyond frustrating with the plan
Hills surely fledglings can call in without the homeowner being in fear of judgement
foxes what did you get for tea in the end?!
Cordelia are (or at this time, were!) you feeling any better today? My DH seems to be going down with the bug now, that will teach him to crow about his flu jab ....

Links next (at least they are all sorted ...)

cags the way she was growing I thought she might have been out of it by now! Mine had a cradle I always felt a bit sad transferring them to the cot when they outgrew the cradle. I used to prop mine in the crook of my arm too. Hope she is getting better.

I had no visitors at all when my kitchen was lovely and tidy. Then when I was making marmalade and DH had left a pile of washing and other stuff on my almost cleared table two arrived.😤 why oh why don't they come when tidy.

- Plan for today----
1.Just get through today at work.
2.If up early might dust dresser top and wash the crockery on top.
3.make meatballs for tea. I have free steak mince from the butcher.😄

Cagliostro · 20/02/2018 04:58

Our KFC was shut the other day too, I was so looking forward to a Caglet-free dirty food opportunity. Nationwide chicken shortage? 😱

I don’t think she is better. Plenty more coughing fits (thankfully she’s started accepting medicine rather than pushing the syringe out). No more fevers though. I think I might be getting what she has, I have that worrying but hard to describe feeling in my chest. 🙄 After my lesson today I’ll just rest as much as possible I think, since we don’t have to go anywhere. Good opportunity for the Caglets to try their independent work that we didn’t get a chance to do at the library.

Stilllivinginazoo · 20/02/2018 05:57

Our KFC had notice in window shut since fri.new supplier and delivery issues(we don't eat KFC but dd2 was shocked it wasn't open and read sign as we passed we are not paragons of virtue btw can't beat a pizza hut delivery)
Place a tip
Lots baking to do

Naughty kitten rampaging at 4am woke me

Dd2 put self bed at 9(unheard of early) with bad throat and fever)

Afreshcuppateaplease · 20/02/2018 07:22

Gosh there is always so much poorly-ness on here Sad hopefully spring will chase it away!

Ds3 slept til 630 🎉 dd was pestering me from 6 though! Rooting through the things i was half through sorting in my bedroom. No doubt i will now be finding these things all over the upstairs of the house. She is one of those kids who just moves things around.

Yep one improves and another goes down with it.

Doesn't sound good zoo. I was in bed by 8:15pm. Awake 3:30 am - 5:20 plus. Put on missed Archers now and usually drift off. About to get up I was awake again at 6:00 but browsing Mumsnet and Pinterest plus World Vision as I had another letter yesterday that is two since Christmas.😄

Stilllivinginazoo · 20/02/2018 07:46
