February Fabulosity with the fledglings, Flylady Feb 2018 thread

Hello all - welcome to our February thread for 2018. Everyone is welcome and it's never too late to join in. We are decluttering our homes and keeping them clean and tidy(ish) as well as having some general chat as well.

I eventually went back to sleep for a bit.
It is 3:30 usually for me.

DH left stuff in sink last night.
Been up and cleared sink, shiny now.
Dishwasher loaded.
Orange peel and orange, pith etc in bin. Salvaged a bit of peel as thought it might make a nice cake.wiped worktops.
Back in bed with crossword and cup of ginger tea. Mmm getting up soon

No To dos. No Ta dahs. I can't believe I'm ill again. Sorry to hear about all the illness and partners being rubbish. This is such a bad time of year. Spring soon, I am clinging to that a bit.

DH is pretty good - when he's here, which hasn't been often this week. He came home from work at 10:30 last night and I'm needing my inhaler again. One more day, then school. I asked the nursery if there was any space for tomorrow for DS - I'm at the stage where I'd pay to get a break, but there was nothing.

This half term has been hard. I know I can't do much about DH having to work, as its a seasonal peak in his industry on the 1st March, and it's just bad luck DD and I are ill and my parents are away.

Next day off for DH will be Thursday, but he'll have worked seven days without a break, so I can't just offload the toddler onto him completely.

The house is tidy, but it isn't clean. I am a bit fed up.

I am already losing the will to live.dd2 has been in foul temper since dad visited Fri,and is getting arsier by the day.we are all in the firing line.ds is playing up for same reason.lil zoo sniping to prevent being totally downtrodden...

Respite in form of her going to church,but will be only for an hour before mayhem continues...

Do I a)clear up without her constant getting under my feet scowling and snapping at be asked do her chores
b)spent time D's n lil zoo-- impossible give them 1-2-1 when she's here in this temperament as will kick off to much and constantly interrupt
c) hide in my room with copious valentine chocolate
d) run away and never come back

Oh and I've just been presented with list for dt cooking tomorrow.breaded halloumi is veggie option.so trip to shops got happen at some point.aaaaarrrgggggghhhhhhh

zoo there is space in my cellar....

zoo tell her to think about her behaviour while in church. Lent has started remind her she could be more helpful instead of giving up something( chocolate).
Thanks callme but no freezer and I'm dairy free, sounds delicious though. Could make it for DS or DH but won't borther since they are not being very helpful at the moment. Going to make a cake with Vitalite add some marmalade which didn't fit in jar and some more peel. Might add some to icing too. Experiment! Later. We have carrot cake as I had too many carrots from veggie box. Now I haven't enough for rest of week because I used wrong cake tin and had to make a second one to add on top. Just thought why didn't I make buns with mixture doh!
Off to shower and wash hair. Mass at 11 am. See you later tonight.😄

Opt sit n read paper downstairs.lil zoo skulk off to room with cat color book and pens.ds drawing animal mash ups(4 animals into one hybrid) down with me.currently mixing cheetah,chicken,camel and hamster!!

Hi everyone! I've tried posting a few times today but don't think any of them worked!

We've had quite a productive day actually which is unusual for a Sunday

Went to tip
Picked up new fence
Weeding in back garden
Painted fence
Made jam cookies
Made chicken breast, roast potatoes and parsnips cauliflower cheese broccoli for dinner
Ironing
Amended online food shop a million times
Both dc bathed hair washed and in bed

And collapse!

I did have significant help with the above by the way!! We also fitted in a trip to the park.

Need to wrap dd birthday presents tonight. Contemplating opening my Valentine's day prosecco

Just saying hello, haven't read thread yet so will catch up later and post links.

Been out for most of the day, and unfortunately will be out tomorrow but should have wifi link for most of that so I'll be watching!

✅dealt with poorly baby and, more demandingly, anxious DD - she’s so worried and sad about the baby being ill that she’s really clingy etc
