Hello all - welcome to our February thread for 2018. Everyone is welcome and it's never too late to join in. We are decluttering our homes and keeping them clean and tidy(ish) as well as having some general chat as well.

We follow the Flylady method, and will post links daily to the missions via the Flylady website. For more information, have a look at www.flylady.net/

Here's to a fun February for all of us (with the occasional prod from the pointy stick of motivation and visits to the naughty corner Cake Brew Wine ) Grin

Don’t worry cotswold I can hardly tell you off since my last post was at half twelve! :o

Ben and Holly is miles better than Peppa. But the best show with a similar animation style is The Big Knights. It’s AMAZING. It’s got a hamster called Sir Doris, which says it all I think.

HillsBesideTheSea · 17/02/2018 10:24

I have deep cleaned the kitchen. There is nothing on any of the benches there is plastic sheeting everywhere. Building work to commence in few hours when builder or should that be demolisher? wakes up.

I have been watching woman's cross country skiing relay this morning. Bloody hell that was a race!

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/02/2018 10:42

Swept kitchen and living room floors
Looked at boy dungeon and shut door on it
S+s bathroom
Bleach lav
Wash in dryer,more on

Can tell it's school hols, lack routine and place degenerating into bearpit status....

I cook bacon for weekend breakfasts, I got thicker rashers than normal today so they took ages

I actually slept well last night, must have coughed less and the (sweet, which I hate - DH picked the wrong bottle off the shelf, bless him) wine must have worked.

DD is thinking about going out later, but her nose is still streaming despite feeling a lot better in herself.

Will need to do a ton of ironing today and tomorrow! DH has been busy washing shirts! Kitchen still needs work and the vacuum hasn't been close to the carpet in a while either!

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/02/2018 18:22

Zoolets fed
No one murdered(yet)
The night is still relatively young and lil zoo and D's are irritating the bajamas out of me (pms not helping matters)dd2 isn't in best of tempers either.
I am breaking golden rules tonight--not washing up,not doing anything as I that wound up I could easily just walk out and not come back

foxessocks · 17/02/2018 18:40

I think half term takes it out of them! My dd very emotional today as well! I've got a nice sloe gin and its time for the dc to go to bed. Not sure how well this is going to go...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/02/2018 18:41

zoo i currently gunning for 'd'p. Yes again. He may get smothered. Selfish twatish behaviour in general.

Ive not accomplished a great deal today. Or this week. Its been shit.

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/02/2018 18:56

I suspect our partners are some how related afresh cept mine had few MH issues to throw into the mix of selfish twatishness
Whilst I'm ranting I'm fed up of dd2 feeling left out/unimportant as he chats D's bout gaming and talks over the rest of us/doesn't listen(partly an anxiety thing)
Glad he's at work and not know my face for at least a few days...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/02/2018 19:25

Yes mine only seems to participate in the fun parts of parenting e.g. playing computer games or ten mins tickling the little two. 9/10 days that is it. Sometimes not even that. Same effort with housework and our relationship. Everything seems to have gone down hill.

Anyway

Flying yes. Hmm

Stilllivinginazoo · 17/02/2018 20:09

Mine likes outings also but moans about cost and hates going to the park etc "as they can do that anytime with you so it's boring"Hmmnot heard of kids like familiarity and routine.....

I must stop or I go eat myself up with anger

Just go put Mrs doubtfire dvd on to watch with dd2 now lil ones in bed.she loves that film.bit ironic in circs but she needs cheering up big time

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/02/2018 21:19

Mine cant cope with the stress of outings Hmm

Anyway

Tomorrow i will fly

Bowerbird5 · 17/02/2018 22:09

Think mine might be related too.

Sum total of his effort today was to vacuum sitting room. Make a baked potato.

I made breakfast...yummy. Sausage, black pudding , bacon, egg.
I made marmalade lemon and orange and orange, lemon and whisky.
Cleaned up the mess.
Sorted some stuff.
Did the ironing.
Made tea and a carrot cake. DH dished it out. It was the steak pie from butchers. Mmmm no need to make a pie when you can buy one that good. Rich gravy, big pieces of steak, crisp pasty top.£3:80 saved me some time today. Had a half hour nap. Bit worried about that next week. I am still needing an afternoon nap of about 30 mins each day. In bed at 9:30pm too. Didn't get the hot spots done because DH was sitting in the way. Tomorrow?

Afreshcuppateaplease · 17/02/2018 22:43

bower Shock theres no need to show off! Mine hasnt touched the hoover yet this year Hmm

CotswoldStrife · 18/02/2018 00:35

Afresh must admit I was surprised to hear it going. I was stirring marmalade at the time. Perhaps he dropped wood or something. He didn't do dining room or kitchen. I usually go right through it doesn't take long. He also helped with dishes. Well he put everything in the sink. I think he might have done some of the dishwasher when it finished. I was cross because he put fish pie in the oven last night without a tray so it oozed over the side and onto oven floor. He promised to clean up the mess. He put oven on for pie tonight and 20 minutes later I went to put pie in because he hadn't. He hadn't cleaned oven so I twittered. Well he has done smashing job of cleaning the racks and luckily I just egg sliced the rest off bottom of oven.

Cotswold Sigh!
I went to bed at 10 probably asleep by 10:20pm been awake since 2am. Church and choir tomorrow. Last day before back to work. I need to do planning.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 18/02/2018 04:48

Yuck fishy oven. I would be cross.

I am up. I am watching peppa porking pig.

Ds crying in pain at 3am. Went to sleep briefly in my bed after bongela. But only until 4am. Now had nurofen.

What is it with 4am.

Why always 4am.

Stilllivinginazoo · 18/02/2018 07:00

afreshSadanything particular(teeth/cold)?

As mine doesn't live here he does nothing, not even wash mug...

As I let poorly kitty sleep with me,not poorly kitty insistently yowls at door in case missing out on food(we had to weigh for flea treatment and she's half kilo heavier than sister and has a wobbly tummy )anyhoo.poorly kitty lays nicely on my legs, thus pin me in one position.not poorly intermittently licks inside my ears, steps on face/headbutts me,makes enough noise to wake the dead...I am tired before I even started...

Tada
Feed cat/kits
Bleach lav
Wash on
Top up smart meters online/internet banking

I need to pop shop as no milk(again)
Last day hols here
Dd2 off to another church(3in our group)as we had a trainee(can't remember what they are called) who helped with fun n faith kids group (and knit and natter for seniors at community cafe) dd2 saw her ordained at cathedral((coach trip))and she's been given her own church now in a village so it's her last service and dd2 is very fond of her so is going to say goodbye.as it's a joint service no choir for them.little ones stay home with me.our rev is giving her a lift to the other church and has be ready by 930.has to be up by 730 in order to chose outfit and apply make up.....

I'd best crack on
Hope today is better for all of us

Afreshcuppateaplease · 18/02/2018 07:59
