Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

Wierdly it is never a school holiday Cag! [Hands over soothing hot chocolate; doing maths first thing in bed would definitely put me in a foul mood]

Forgot to send virtual speculoos biscuits to Longtime (apologies that you are not sharing them with us in rl)

Builders are banging
Dh has gone back to bed (still got the flu)
Dd has closeted herself in her room and has started revising
Furry is looking at his lead pointedly ... I had better get going ...

Ponder the fact that I wanted to make something as a gift BUT the posting deadline is tomo and I have no energy and little time and lack motivation today. - might just make in new year and send late the person will not care when it arrives.

Bully ds into writing some christmas cards - he doesn't see the point in writing christmas cards but neither does his father at least I know ds' family appreciate that I keep on top of the situation.

Finish christmas letter - tbh this is just a printed picture or two of ds for family, although I do now need to get a picture with his aunt or something so people have a sense of scale - he got BIG
Double check where am with christmas shopping and be realistic about what is going to get finished - I suspect there will be at least 1 IOU made present. thankfully a 1 week job so not tooo bad but time is short yo.

This list is getting frightenly long for someone who said they were going to have a rest day today

Ds still poorly but think he is on the mend as he has eaten a small breakfast and half a satsuma. He was up at 4 and then woke up from his nap after half an hour. I actually begged him to go back to sleep and may have cried a little! anyway we are watching some tv together now while I have a restorative cup of tea.

I've done my fridge amready so going to do 2 x declutter sessions in kitchen
More anti procrastination - make cakes (as I said I'd make cakes for lunchboxes to save money but if I don't actually make them dd will be a bit hungry!)

Wandered down about half an hour ago had some toast as I am craving carbs

FWIW I love maths I was just getting annoyed at the hyperness of the caglets :o still in a foul mood now TBH.

I've put a wash on and DD1 did the drying from last night. Caglets have done some online work as well and once they've made their lunch I'll get them to put the washing up away. Now that they've shown they can do it I think it can be added to their chores :o

How is everyone doing? Hardly had time to check in due to things going on but seems to be ok now. Thread is moving fast.

Today's plan is catch up on laundry and general tidying plus declutter two small boxes (and finish a SS present).

Tomorrow is holiday prep. has friends over tomorrow so nice cuddles in bed with DD. Another two small boxes. Also take big bag to charity shop.

Friday is make sure everything is sorted before holiday. Really looking forward to being away with family.

Dh has friends over that should be.

Long night.ds pant n norm sleeps deep enough to snore.not that deep last night so felt like i was constantly check he still breathing.cept dd2 slept on (other)sofa and snored constantly

I need the pointy stick. I haven't done a thing since my last post as ds has been crying and screaming all afternoon I feel like I'm just waiting for dh to come home so I can breeeeeeeeathe when I could just be getting on with stuff since ds will be whining regardless.

Anyone know where an address book is likely to hide? Because there are a whole bunch of post deadlines hurrying up and we all know that it will remain in hiding until approximately 2 days after the deadline when it will show up gloating!

Storm front due to move through tonight/tomorrow and the temperature has dropped like a stone. It's freezing!

Tea is an unknown quantity as really cba, people are out late with weird timings for tea and a trip shopping is needed in the next day or two. Also I might have snacked on lebkuchen as they are favourite that no one else can eat and don't want tea

Well no cakes were made today but I stupidly decided to clean the oven at the kids bed time (thought I could just pop the solution on as it has to be left overnight.) Resulted in me rushing and getting solution in the seal (a no no apparently) then dripping it on the floor and finally forgetting I took the gloves off and getting solution on hands - ouch

Also we found a leak under the sink and everything is soggy. Leak is fixed. Then the washing machine broke (just when I was nearly on top of the washing)

All I can say is - I hope tomorrow goes more smoothly!

Good news is the children are quiet and in bed!!

hills i syspect your address book has gone to find mine.that went missing 8months ago and despite valiant efforts is atill AWOL...i too LOVE lebkuchen.i do however try not eat by the packet since i discovered contain crushed apricot stones which contain cyanide so best not eat too many unless you can give me evidence advice i was given us a lie then bring me a factory full

Hes had 400mls bsnana milk and 600 of water.by his standards thats huge amount if fluid.he us still dizzy n faint.anyone know how long takes if dehydration is cause to fix?

Thankfully I think the quantity of apricot stones required to be eaten to produce the quantity of cynanide to be deadly is rather large, but don't quote or rely on that information to be correct as I could be completely lying and have accidentally killed myself well that would solve the problem of the missing address book but is rather a bit extreme solution

Get thee to tesco, their own brand does NOT contain apricot kernels. Gluctose-fructose syrup and palm oil but not the kernels.

I don't even own something as grown up and organized as an address book

Today was shit and I'm not really sure why. Tomorrow needs to be better as I am turning 31! Birthday breakfast (Bella Italia because they do breakfast PIZZA) then DH has to go to work so I'm taking the Caglets to a trampoline park with friends

Waves to everyone. Thank you for the st Nicolas wishes sc. I’d actually forgotten not having any dc at home now. I did go to a friend’s mince pie coffee morning though which was lovely.

Not doing well with the flying. Students, prep, Dutch and stats seem to be taking up most of my time. I do all the usual tidying up, washing, dishes but don’t seem to have time for the decluttering I desperately need to do. My lists look meagre in comparison to everyone else’s so I think I should just sit in the haughty corner for a bit.

Funnily enough, my address book has gone walkabout too... oh yes and I remove apple pips for rabbit because of potential cyanide build up! (Their organs are so small!)

Dd gone off to another exam and will be back in a couple of hrs. Really proud of her! In fact I am gobsmacked! She spontaneously made us all a lovely lunch yesterday when I was busy with builder stuff and dh still ill. Just quitly got on without consultation band did it! She is revising hard without any prompting from us and is really organised. When I think back to the endless days of chivvying from us ... when she wouldn't pack her school bag or have a shower without being nagged, I can't quite believe it tbh!

Made huge inroads in to laundry pile yesterday, took dh for more med tests, attended volunteering Christmas fund-raising event, made veggie soup and fish pie and that was about it! So much more stuff to do with Christmas deadlines it is frightening! Hoping to regain a bit of control of house today first.

Cannot believe it is Thursday already!! Hope everyone has productive days!!
