Fledglings fly into December to party hard.

Morning.

Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

I am going to be honest I will be back later with the links when I have drunk about 2 gallons of water. My brain has given up (which I knew it would earlier) think tomo is going to be a day in bed possible sleeping kinda day. Blush

Do you want me to do the links Hills, and I'm saying that in an unhelpful way Xmas Smile ?

zoo hope your DS is OK, how worrying for you.

Hope all the smaller fledglings are now quietly asleep. Some days you just don't know what is wrong. I recall my own DD doing that in the middle of the night and my DH started to look worried when I held her in front of me and reminded her that she was not hungry/in need of a nappy etc.

Gradually decorating the Christmas tree here, front room looks like hideous festive accident has occurred. Large plastic boxes everywhere. Send glitter.

Cagliostro · 05/12/2017 23:23

You OK over there hills :o

Wow zoo that sounds very stressful all round

We got a fair bit done since we didn't go to tap, I'm glad we managed to not waste the evening. Cooked dinner with DD1 (baby in sling), did a bit of random tidying, dried and folded the bedding which we stripped this morning. Got the Caglets to put the clean crockery away and I did the washing up which DD1 also helped with voluntarily so I'm hoping that'll become a regular thing. Just got baby to sleep.

HillsBesideTheSea · 05/12/2017 23:50

Bastarding technology! Grin thankfully it appears I am not the only one suffering from multiple posting tonight

Am going to sort hot water bottles, defrost and then hit post on the linkies. FIngers and toes crossed we are back to one post posting

Thank you. Need to get up soon and do some. Wow lots of great flying viewing from naughty corner.
T a. dahs yesterday.
Got up, made bed after 5 min airing.
Dressed, breakfast. Work. All day no breaks no lunch. Would have had time to eat but one of the Tuesday children came in early and I hadn't had time to heat up the left overs. We had such a lovely chat and she is starting to tell me her little worries like going to Secondary. One of her worries is she is going to miss me😥 likewise.
Christmas board complete. Assessments done for two classes. Drawing completed.
Shopping for son complete minus a tree all gone except 4 ft & 7 ft. Off to measure up this morning. 7ft is £120 and one I was going to buy was £79 less 20%😧 should have bought it last week, looks at DH😖
When I wanted too.
Home, tea, dozed off. Out for curry with friends but they had drinks & deciding to wait for another meant no food till 9:15 aagh! Toast at 8am. Ordered two courses and munched poppadoms which meant I couldn't eat it all. They GIVE you doggy bags. Lunch sorted. Delicious, fifth person gave me a lift home😄 no flying straight to bed in naughty corner.😞

Plan.
Get up, no lie in.
Clean bathroom.
Whizz around kitchen, wash on.
Sort out large pile of stuff on my end of sofa😚 don't how that got there. Likewise kitchen table. Put washing upstairs/away.
Sort out plates, saucepans and load car. Go to sons, find tree on way. Cook Christmas Dinner. Load dishwasher, re pack stuff come home flop into bed.
If I get most of that done I will be pleased. If I can squeeze in a short walk to find pine cones I'll be ecstatic .
I am planning a massive home Bleugh when we break up. DH will be gone & DD won't have arrived so hoping that works just don't invite anyone in DH. Mrs Tidy has gone on holiday so he can't invite her in😁

Callmecordelia · 06/12/2017 07:37

To do
Make chilli con carne for freezer
Put away three baskets of washing and the airer
Wipe down cupboards
Clear out fridge
Meal plan
Anti procrastination day tasks - find and book dentist. Call opticians as DD has broken glasses. Switch utilities.

Also to do - find the scout hut. DH has switched his day off, so I need to take DD to Beavers for the first time. It's sort of round the back of houses and a petrol station, accessed by a small path.

Brew for all.

Sludgecolours · 06/12/2017 09:01

Good morning all!

[SC stumbles in to thread distributing satsumas, Belgian chocs and ginger spice biscuits]

DD is already back from school after her first exam (yes back at 9.35 am!!) and she is not too old to enjoy finding sweets and biscuits in her shoes and she has just opened her presents and we are celebrating!

[Passes around strong coffee for all those in need!]

Cagliostro · 06/12/2017 09:41

Happy st Nicholas day! Bit harsh they make the kids do exams though isn't this day a big part of Xmas over there?

I haven't got up yet but the Caglets have done their maths and spellings with me. I am in a hideous mood and getting annoyed at them. DH on way home from physio and is off for the day.
