Morning.

Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

My problem is I keep acquiring crafty hobbies. I have cards for card weaving but no loom for it so I intend in the new year to build myself one. But then I have to figure out where to store it Blush because my little table top loom is just not right for it and I need and inkle style loom Hmm And of course there is the associated learning/ pattern books and supplies that go with it Hmm

I hope you have some lovely squishables in that wool bag bower

I put the handwash socks in to soak about an hour ago andyou have just reminded me to go deal with them. Thank you Flowers

Wool tops/roving very, very squishable hills.

Ta dahs
I have washed all the kitchen floor.
I divided it in half did one half and then other with chocolate in between. Not been keen to push mop due to the pain/ probable hernia. I got DD to do it while she was here but it didn't look all that clean so I don't think she moved" stuff" but skirted around it.
Just need to put things back. Chicken feed can go in shed. I have been lazy keeping it in kitchenas she is usually at the door in the morning so I make her warm mash first thing. Bags on hooks banished to car.
Onto that kitchen table that still isn't clear.
Put clothes and stuff away is ok if you have somewhere to put it.
Knickers and socks I am ok with as space and organised so yes, however if you haven't got that space it is all about where will I put it and it gets shoved somewhere until you find it a space. It is easier in summer as no jumpers, thicker fabric etc. if I got rid of all the kids stuff it would help. I am loathed to re possibility of grandchildren but now think I should just sort, wash and gift. Loft is not great as the problem of bats and mice although we try with the latter at least DH is supposed to.

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/12/2017 16:46

DDs v well behaved which means they are starting to play up but the fact they behaved well is ace SmileSmileSmile.

Go back home
Bedtime routine etc
Depending on what time we get back, decluttering

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 30/12/2017 17:54

Wow lisette, v impressive!

Lisette40 · 30/12/2017 19:05

Thank you Toostressy. (I can't remember cleaning the door handles often 😳)

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/12/2017 19:07

Toostressy yay for well behaved kids and someone else cooking dinner😊

Zoolets fed(pasta with kale and peas and cheese.left over vanilla sponge.apple.yogurt)
Didn't find TV remote so it's my choice and at my volume tonight(quieter than they would chose) me thinks tomorrow they may be hunting and a hunting hard for that remote😂😂😂😂😂😂

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 30/12/2017 19:47

Well their behaviour at dinner was terrible Grin but the important thing is they were fab at theatre itself Smile.

Lisette40 · 30/12/2017 20:08

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/12/2017 20:19

HillsBesideTheSea · 30/12/2017 20:50

We braved ikea and survived it. Although mum has disappeared with graph paper and tape measure whilst muttering Hmm

I have a plan, a little plan
So needles to say it will probably be ignored.

Bowers I just clocked that you said chicken feed, you have chickens?!
Glad that they were well behaved for the theatre Stressy
Zoo now that sounds like a very cunning plan to get the zoolets to find their remote Grin

Ikea envy Envy

HillsBesideTheSea · 30/12/2017 22:18

A sod it, if I write it I will be held accountable.

To do list for the 31st:
Laundry
tidy my room
finish the pair of socks that are driving me bonkers.
clean the bathroom incl floor mopping

Or at least that is my plan...

OP posts:
Bowerbird5 · 30/12/2017 22:29

Give them a bag each to tidy as they go! Result. Two hours do you think?
Yes, hills I have chickens well just one now until I get some more in the spring. She is a bit lonely so is making more effort. If she was a human she would be Mavis from Coro.Lisette 🙈 too much. Every light and switch. Wow!
Toostressy sounds like a good day. They can't be good all the time.
Hills let me know if you need a spinning wheel / loom. My friend has quite a few, she can't resist a bargain or a charity shop find. She sorts them out then resells or keeps till she finds someone interested.
She is really good at spinning, weaving, felting, sewing, knitting...
She buys fleeces then washes, spins , dyes ...
I do a bit of drawing , painting and felting, a very little bit of knitting, crocheting
Well kitchen looks a lot better. Table clean and just a few things on so I will put in car tomorrow. Worktops and cooker clean, fridge wiped out and DDs leftovers binned as over time. Found a grim pitta bread of hers.
Sitting room tidy and fire good with enough logs and eggs for tomorrow. Dining room semi clean. Will finish off and dust tomorrow. Now if I can just keep it like that I can start on bedroom, then craft room. It isn't pristine but it will do me

Bowerbird5 · 30/12/2017 22:31

Puts some Divine dark chocolate and ginger for the dairy free yum!

Callmecordelia · 30/12/2017 23:11

Just made a baileys tiramisu to sit in the fridge until tomorrow night. Looks delicious. Mmmm.

Still no flying, and that's the last of the Christmas baking. I feel a bit sad about that, but perhaps I can get DD's skirt and jumper finished for her birthday next month with less cooking to do. I find all this craft talk quite inspiring. I used to do loads before I had a second baby. That knocked most of it on the head.

Bowerbird5 · 31/12/2017 03:23

Perhaps we could set up a flying craft monthly thread. Just a "I have used this stash to make or I have made this present." I don't know how to do photos but I'm sure lots of you can. It might spur us on to get things finished. E could inspire each other.

On another note I have slept from 11 - 3:15am yeah! Must have been the alcoholic ginger beer and the glass of spicy gin.

Afreshnewyearplease · 31/12/2017 06:12
