Morning.

Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

But don't take the vit d with the vit C as Vit C hinders the absorption of vit D

these vitamins are so tricksky

Afreshturkeyplease · 28/12/2017 11:04

I am so confused about the vitamins

Callmecordelia · 28/12/2017 11:46

I just take them with a glass of water when I remember. DH takes them out of the cupboard with his in the morning and they lie there on the side as a reminder. Sometimes they are there for some time!

Afreshturkeyplease · 28/12/2017 11:51

Is there like a multivitamin that would cover all bases do you know?

I still havent done my 3 things to do list

foxessocks · 28/12/2017 12:03

Shopping trip a disaster. Dd behaviour not good right now! She's having lunch and then being sent upstairs for a nap.

I'm totally fed up!

Callmecordelia · 28/12/2017 12:11

Afresh DH did a spreadsheet to find the most comprehensive one for the money, because he's that sort of person. Blush

We buy the Wilkinsons women's/men's health ones. £3.50 a box. www.wilko.com/womens-health/wilko-womans-health-multivitamins-and-minerals-30pk/invt/0308456

Sorry to hear that Foxes.

Bowerbird5 · 28/12/2017 12:43

That is interestinghills about the connection with depression and lack of vitamin D. It was the only thing that I was low in when I had blood tests at the hospital. I would like to add to others suggestions that dried apricots have vitamin D in and I usually try to have some every week in winter.
I fell back asleep and woke at 11am so made up for the night before. Sorry to hear you are in pain Cags. Why don't you ring back for a appointment or at least ask for a telephone one?
Haven't started yet😗
Need to get a very pointy stick poked in my butt!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 28/12/2017 13:12

Hello all, sorry have been AWOL with Christmas. Am still on for thread leading in Jan.

Cagliostro · 28/12/2017 13:52

Whaaat I had no idea about vitamin C and D 'clashing'!

Appt booked for next week to investigate further hopefully (problem with conditions like fibro is that it's all too easy to dismiss anything new as part of that and potentially miss something, but this is definitely different pain). Baby coped with her jabs but I'm knackered and grumpy and hungry

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/12/2017 14:04

afresh I have rubbish iron levels.i take sainsbo multivitamin with iron.woeks for me when I remember to take it

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/12/2017 14:05

Lots blanked?bloody new phone correcting me BLANKIES

HillsBesideTheSea · 28/12/2017 15:37

I can't find the information not so I could be mistaken but I know I need to take my vit D and Calcium tablets at a different time to the Vit C for best absoprtion.

Apparently it is Vit C and Iron that should not be taken together.

God knows anymore.

Customer facing job. Some days the customers restore your faith in humanity, Some days they destroy it. It has been a destroy it kinda day, but my manager is awesome so that makes it better. And I am done until the new year now Also there was cake and cake always wins!

Meant to mention earlier when I stuck my head in. Did anyone else listen to Radio 4 around 10:20 this morning? Radical self care was discussed. It was an interesting concept.

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/12/2017 18:24

Sorry to contradict hills but c and iron MUST go together to absorb the iron.

Well I never got further than a ploughed space thru the mess in front room...

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/12/2017 18:27

Self care?adds this to new year list as zooalways at bottom of the list and eats crisps n choc most time instead food zoolets eats etc

Hope you can get a bit of a rest in hills you sound like you need it.x

Lisette40 · 28/12/2017 22:18

Hills I think vit. C helps iron absorption.i take Floradix iron supplement and it has vit c in it to aid iron absorption.

Lisette40 · 28/12/2017 22:21

Arghh. I take vit D with orange juice. That's going to have to stop! Thanks for that tip Hills

Afreshturkeyplease · 28/12/2017 22:38

Evening all

10pm bed has not happened

Ive just eaten my tea

Dp gone out we had arguing day. He said i was snappy. I think he was snappy first. Although he is pissing me off with how little he does. Its not as obvious when working but off for christmas at min and well and truely looking after number one! Just been watching eastenders and found myself agreeing with staceys rant about why she cheated on martin Shock not that im about to go off with max branning yuck

Afreshturkeyplease · 29/12/2017 05:58

Think ive slept 1130-530 so 6 hours again. Dont feel quite as rough as yesterday tbh. Had to get up as ds did a massive stinking poo Sad now we are watching cbeebies. Yawn

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/12/2017 06:24

I have done far better than you afresh I crashed out before 7pm (probably around half 6 tbh) so have had the best part of 11 hours sleep ( there was an up for a while in the middle cos it was cold and I was being stubborn about having to get up in the night) Zoo you were right I was very much in need of sleep Blush

Right re vit C and iron - yep I am wrong hands up and owns mistake
I had another look there is soooo much contridictory advice on google that it is actually shocking! I miss the days when I could hit up pub med for research. Sad

I am about to finish the toes on some socks I want to wear later. Also WTAF is it with all these panic warnings about snow? we have rain and slight flooding but no snow visible. Hmm

God knows hills My phone thinks its snowing. It isnt. Wish i had 11 hours!

Bowerbird5 · 29/12/2017 06:32

I've slept all night apart from needing a wee twice. Had a glass of red wine with supper of left overs and made fritter chips delicious. No more left overs but we are going out to the theatre tonight so we can eat out somewhere. No doubt DD will have that sorted. DH phoned last night. I haven't heard from him for days phones not working very well. He is fine though and so are we.
Didn't get my TA Dahs done but did some washing, cleared some of the table. Don't know what to do with some of it. I did have a nice time relaxing because everyone was out.

Today's plans
Clear out fridge.
Clear the rest of table.
Get DD to wash floor.
Anything else like ironing will be a bonus.

Bowerbird5 · 29/12/2017 06:44

We have snow nearby. DD was out w asking with friends and tops are covered. Hoping it doesn't snow today because we are going to the theatre and I don't like driving on snow.

I did a TA Dah not on my list yesterday...cleaned out my handbag.

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/12/2017 08:18

Further investigations have shown that the regular closed ude to snow roads are closed due to snow. And it is apparently going to get worse up to around 11am. SO i suppose I should consider whether or not it would be wise to go to wales today. Hmm

You are going to hate me afresh i fell asleep again for another hour, but the perk is that it no longer hurts so much to breathe. Still on a massive sleep debt for the month though Blush and hoping this means that insomina is giving me a break for a while. Hang in there, it does get better sleep wise. Promise. Ds was a non sleeper, and whilst his sleep is still not great he know how to take care of himself and that sleep is important for other so to respect it.

OP posts:
Afreshturkeyplease · 29/12/2017 08:23

Oh, ds HAS got better! We had a time he would stir hourly from midnight, then be awake 4-6am then go to sleep as dd got up. So compared to that life is good!

Ta da

Moved big sofa and cleaned underneath (dropped something so had to pull out anyway)
Emptied kitchen bin

Im eyeing up the corpse of christmas. It needs to go. Its depressing. However its twice the size of me and i dont see dp getting up to help
