Fledglings fly into December to party hard.

Morning.

Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

Please may I have a disorganized club t-shirt too :o that's the kind of thing I actually would be able to organise as it'd give me a reason to ignore housework

HillsBesideTheSea · 23/12/2017 20:52

Ds is feeling better, he even voluntarily did some ironing for me, and has helped with prepping tea. Still sore and dosed up on pain killers but sprains heal.

Just 1 present to wrap, but will do that tomo as it required a little concentration to finished it off before it can be wrapped - a 15min job at most. Now we are all hunkered down with the wood burner going, good food in stomachs and ready for christmas tomo. (24th celebrators - don't panic)

Links for tomo will follow but will be sticking to the old fledgling tradition of NO links for Christmas day other than the launch pad. CHristmas day is for enjoying not worrying about ticking boxes

Damn right hills I was just thinking earlier I must make sure I do laundry tomorrow morning so we can get it put away before we leave (going to friend whose birthday it is) - when we get home the elves will have delivered the cosy new jammies and thus Christmas really starts. So not going to do laundry then.

Just settling to sleep having done the last of the wrapping and sorting stockings etc. Cagletini slept a bit while we got everything done but was then wide awake.

Cagliostro · 24/12/2017 01:16

Cagliostro · 24/12/2017 09:46

Aw thanks :) sorry —notsorry— afresh :o if it helps reduce the broodiness, she didn’t sleep until about 2, and then woke a few times, little madam.

Need to get up in a bit, throat scratchy though :( :( better not last.

DH is sticking a wash on, with any luck it can be dried and put away by the time we get picked up. Also need to phone people to sort out when we’re seeing them.

Cagliostro · 24/12/2017 09:47

Yep painsomnia got me last night.
But other than putting some clothes away I am done for Christmas so will be chilling out in bed with pain killers and hot water bottles for most of the day. Just need to rest it is the cost of pushing instead of pacing. HmmBlush And I am not on cooking duty this year.

Hello all,

Ta da:-
DD2 did a Christmas performance for us all for her brownie badge (only achieved today as we are at in laws so not knee deep in Christmas planning - had deliberately planned it for today as knew it was our chance to get it done).

To do:-
Sort out the video of it to email to Brownies
Get two excited children to sleep

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Smile

Wh0KnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 24/12/2017 20:18

Jusr flapping by to say Merry Christmas to you all, I have been enjoying reading the thread if not posting much Xmas Smile

Bowerbird5 · 24/12/2017 22:56

Lost connection again this morning and post!

Great TaDahs.
I need to get in naughty corner with my mince pie.DD was left a pile of to dos yesterday but I came back from wedding to fid she had only done some of the nice ones and not washed the mucky floor. I stayed in bed late today because I was tired and it aches less if I am lying down.
DS 2 came over today has taken Turkey, veg and extra utensils to his house and is going to cook dinner as he is closed tomorrow ( very rare) and he isn't working.he said he will prep all veg, collect brothers and with my guidance will cook the Turkey. DS1 is buying the fish and cheese and DD is making her vegan meal and two lots of soup are already done today. Two of her old pals arrived and it was lovely to see them all together before I went off to mass. Only five of us to lead the carols and I did it no bother. It shows how much confidence I have gained since I joined the other choir as I would never have done that before...still don't know if I can sing!
Gone to bed at 10 as I was feeling ropey. I keep feeling ill and faint. Nearly keeled over at church but it was warm in there. Can't believe we are hear and it is Christmas Eve!
I hope you all have a wonderful time with your families tomorrow. I do miss mine being little. It was lovely seeing the little ones dressed up in Nativity costumes at Mass. There little shining faces all excited and the sheperd who clocked his dad with the crook in the middle of Mass. Then captured him around then neck before he caught his lamb.
Give Caglitini a super big hug from me she is gorgeous. Merry Christmas

Bowerbird5 · 25/12/2017 05:56

Awake early.
Thinking about all you mums with young children, who are up and excited. Treasure those moments even though you are probably exhausted and thinking about all the things you need to do today. Keep flying even if it is by the seat of your pants. Us mums are great. Christmas wouldn't happen without us! You are great😄

A big Merry Christmas to you all.

MercuryRising · 25/12/2017 06:10
