Fledglings fly into December to party hard.

Morning.

Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

call me that looks yummy

Callmecordelia · 20/12/2017 18:28

It's the icing sugar. Anything looks better with icing sugar on it.

It's not the tastiest chocolate cake I make, but it looks the part.

foxessocks · 20/12/2017 18:32

Thanks zoo I've actually been eating my way through a tub of heroes this week but only the rubbish ones left now Sad got a new tubof chocs but we promised ourselves we wouldn't open until Saturday! (We have guests on Sat and its meant for sharing...)

Cagliostro · 20/12/2017 18:45

More naughty wannabe Fledglings? Crikey I miss all the fun.

At taekwondo Xmas party then off for dinner with mum friends. Meeting DH and DD in town so they can take DS home (DD had gymnastics). The advantage of this is that they are hanging out and can get the last gift shopping done so I don't have to think about it.

You may be right about the sugar hills I need to drag my sorry arse out of this vicious cycle of cravings! I was so much better when eating high fat/protein but then gallbladder protested. Seems fine now though so I will try and get back to that way of eating. After Christmas obviously...

Stilllivinginazoo · 20/12/2017 18:50

foxes i confess i can eat a tub in 2 days.always eclairs and dairy milk last in tub.twisted and twirls first to goBlush

foxessocks · 20/12/2017 18:58

Ooh zoo we'd do well sharing a tub as twisted are last here! Although eclairs are too...

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 20/12/2017 19:46

I seem to have missed all the dodgy posts - probably for the best!!

Hello all, have been at work today and unfortunately forgot the Xmas cards I was going to bring in to write on my lunch break Xmas Hmm. Disorganisation strikes again! Oh well, I did remember my secret Santa present, biscuits for work and the girls took relevant teacher cards in today. Have done bag of nice tea and coffee for the school staff room which I am going to get ready tonight to bring in tomorrow. DH posted last Xmas parcel.

You are all making me want heroes now Xmas AngryXmas Grin. We have quality street at work but heroes are better.

To do:-
Finish Xmas cards. Must do this tonight as had intended to be finished days ago.
Get both girls to sleep - they are in bed but not asleep. DH cooking downstairs so a nice tea awaits at least.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 20/12/2017 19:47

Fab Yule log Callme!

HillsBesideTheSea · 20/12/2017 20:35

A lot of people with fibro seem to do better with low sugar/carb. I know i am always better with my symptoms if I low carb but sugar is soooo good at lulling you into false pretenses.

Stilllivinginazoo · 20/12/2017 21:30

toostressy heroes are deffo better than qualiy street

Stilllivinginazoo · 20/12/2017 21:32

You know that shouldve said quality am tired and texting even more jibberish than usual....

Bowerbird5 · 20/12/2017 21:52

MMM i could just eat a piece of that yule log.Feeling a bit queasy though. Need to get to bed tonight and up to phone at 8am try and get GP app. not felt well all evening.Chose not to go singing ( at the hospital) at last minute as not feeling great. Told myself to stop pushing myself and put PJs on instead. Been feeling unwell just had scrambled egg for tea. Going to bed as soon as dishwasher is finished. On good note stopped coughing and asthma seems better went up to 340 today.Supposed to be 400. Have ordered new inhalers. Also rang raffle prize winner so if up to it will deliver tomorrow. Not far and countryside not town. Might time it for lunch and have a bowl of soup at lovely cafe. might be forced to go into craft shop, wool shop(no don't let me go in there) and Fair trade shop. I think there are only two more shops.

Cagliostro · 20/12/2017 23:48

Errr no quality street are better.

Awesome dinner out. Feel refreshed. Cagletini good as gold and had loads of cuddles. She's dozed off but needs changing before bed! Hope she has another good night.

DH out aaaall day tomorrow though - working early shift (they changed it so he can no longer come to pediatrician with us) then helping DSCs clear their nan's flat. Gonna be a long day for us and my mum can't come up now as she's got a bug.

CotswoldStrife · 21/12/2017 00:40

I am up late because DD is too excited to sleep and smashed a glass getting herself a drink - took me half an hour to clean up the tiny shards. Now having a hot choc drink with the Lidl version of Baileys in

Need to do a bit of wrapping, but birthday-related. Catch you tomorrow.

Stilllivinginazoo · 21/12/2017 05:38

cag a tough day ahead.be thinking of you
Ps my reasoning with quality street is hate that excuse of a replacement for the toffee deluxe.laat straw for me.plus two orangey ones.i hate orangy ones!!

bower hit the craft/wool shop etc you deseeve it.pace yourself today lovely.hope you feeling better soon

I slept lousy.kept waking mind racing what needs to be done.best pull big girl pants up n get on with it...

First anniversary losing dad today so feelibg bit wobbly.least having lots to get on with keep me from being to melancholy

Right.phase one deep clean and declutter cupboard understairs....

Sludgecolours · 21/12/2017 05:53

Zoo Flowers for you - so many on this thread are missing loved ones this Christmas Sad. Sending prayers from across channel x

Good luck today Cag go steady!

Hope you get gp app Bowerbird

Waves to Cotswold and everyone else!

I have been packing car and sorting teen party bags for last hour. Now busy chopping up mangos and pineapple, washing and drying blueberries etc, to make mahoosive fruit salad to mitigate against all the other crap they will be eating.

It's going to be a long day.

Please save me a space in a darkened area of naughty corner with comfy chaise lounge, fluffy blanket and vat of gin for approx 10.30pm tonight!

Strong Brew for all today. Good luck everyone with all the final bits of prep and Flying!

Sludgecolours · 21/12/2017 05:56

Chaise longue not chaise lounge although that would work too! Plus an eye mask, foot balm and a hoist ...

Callmecordelia · 21/12/2017 06:21

To do

Get up and make gingerbread house pieces before DS wakes up so they are cold for construction later currently failing to do this
Clean kitchen. Again.
More washing to do
Put away washing
Take paracetamol after post MIL visit wine celebration
Wonder why I drank so much, think of MIL insisting she wants to be invited to DD's birthday party and I remember. It's a My Little Pony party for DD and her friends, not a family gathering. I'll be too busy playing "Pin the tail on the Cutie Mark" to deal with her.

Afreshturkeyplease · 21/12/2017 06:48

Up at 4am with dd AND ds3. Currently trying him for a sleep and no doubt she will crash and burn later.

I am team QS. I love the orange ones!

Flowers for those facing a tough day

Sludgecolours · 21/12/2017 07:18

I wish I knew what Heroes were so I could join in this debate!

[Strong coffee for Afreshstart Brew

Gosh you are so organised with your lovely baking CallmeCordelia to be making a buche de Noel and a gingerbread house! I made the latter a few years back and it had serious underpinning issues Grin Good luck with the mil wrangling!

Right, I was obviously more organised than I thought I was because we are ready to go with time to spare (just waiting for dd who is still in the bathroom titivating Grin) and wagons are ready to roll!

If I don't get back on here during the holidays (Internet connection still a bit dodgy at wreck2) then I hope you and your families have a lovely Christmas and a very happy start to 2018! And enjoy those littlies while they are still little because the "golden period" goes so quickly! Happpppyyyyyyy Christtttttmmmmmmmaaaasss!!! Talllllyyyyy-hooooooooo!
