Fledglings fly into December to party hard.

Morning.

Tomorrow is December 1st which means roll call for the fledglings and shiny new thread. It might seem a bit clicky but it is because it is a long term thread, park your arse in the naughty corner for moral support, natter and various delicious goodies. Oh and smidge of housework too.

We follow the flylady system HOWEVER we adapt it to suit the circumstances of our lifes and sometimes we ignore the slightly more fluffy/bonkers babysteps --because we can and there ain't no one the boss of us

Yay!

7 X 15 mins in boudoir and I have found my address book! Christmas can now commence!

Sludgecolours · 15/12/2017 01:21

Wow re: speed card-writing Bowerbird!!

Bowerbird5 · 15/12/2017 04:11

Thanks. Just write child's name, love bowerbird so fairly quick. Thinking I could get little ones done at break then nurture at lunch. Job done. Every year I tell myself not to leave them till last minute. Aargh!

Home Bleugh this weekend. Planning to do room by room. I am determined to get house sorted by Christmas. No choir on Sunday afternoon but evening Carol service at church at 7pm so I can complete local cards and wrapping then. Haven't bought our children's presents yet. DD has a couple but will wait to see if she gets this job or not and sort present by then plus she wants tickets to a show. Boys haven't said yet. Just have two to buy as we bought tree and trimmings for No. 2 son for his new cottage. It looks lovely. I haven't got a tree yet. Tracked one down 50 miles away but do I really want to travel all that way to get it? Going to see if local store could get it sent over. None on line😢 or have real tree again like DD wants?
Waves to everyone. Happy children are more important than tidy house. Pity we live so far apart or we could go around and blitz each other's houses. My friend used to say" other people's washing up is always more interesting than your own. " she used to get stuck into my dishes sometimes and I used to dry up for her. She was always tidier than me though. Sometimes house was full of kids( childminder) or fabric!

clear paths ahead of cleaner who is kindly doing home bleugh right now
empty DW
carry down more laundry and sort
wms fed
collate dd small gifts in to box marked "stocking"
tidy home office a bit and clear dedicated wrapping station
DH has walked furry so I'm up on the clock

To do:
wrap parcels
write immediate family/more important cards
collect photos from print shop

Arghhhhh

WHY did i do oven pride last night

WHY isnt it self cleaning Angry

CotswoldStrife · 15/12/2017 11:32

Must remember to turn phone ringer back on after putting it on silent. Still, makes a change for DH to get the call instead of me Xmas Blush

Done some more shopping, think it's the last day to order a turkey locally so will make sure that is done and perhaps do a bit of wrapping (gasp) before DD finishes school. It would be nice not to wrap everything on Christmas Eve Xmas Smile

foxessocks · 15/12/2017 12:43

afresh I hate oven pride for that very reason! I always forget I've done it and then wonder why it didn't clean itself!

foxessocks · 15/12/2017 12:51

Ta das
Emptied dishwasher
Emptied kitchen bin

To do
Daily routine
Mission 5 min declutter
Declutter one other room
Swish and swipe bathroom
Declutter car bag purse

Sludgecolours · 15/12/2017 13:28

Ta da cont'd/...

2 parcels wrapped and ready for posting - loads more to do though
cleaned bathroom which cleaner didn't have time for today
collected photos from print shop
early washing hung up/in td
more washing on
plumber been and gone to fix dripping kitchen tap
quick supermarket run

There are lots of teens downstairs, playing music loudly and eating pizza etc celebrating the end of exams. They are all so happy that I feel badly for whinging now Blush And they prepped their own lunch. I have been banished upstairs so I am taking the opportunity to wrap yet more parcels and writing cards. I haven even managed to clear a wrapping station of sorts so things are looking up from yesterday.

Ta for linkies Hills!

Foxes/Afresh oven pride should come with free oven cleaning elf; a bit like Dobby in Harry Potter but with gas mask and rubber gloves.

Ta for echinacea Cotswold

"Still, makes a change for DH to get the call instead of me"

That should be a Xmas Grin not a Xmas Blush at the end of that sentence surely? Wink

Sludgecolours · 15/12/2017 13:29

Zoo that should have read "ds" earlier not "day" btw.

HillsBesideTheSea · 15/12/2017 13:43

sc that dobby image is slightly terrifying but oven cleaning elves definitely needed! Can we also get bathroom cleaning elves?

Car in garage again, ds to and from hospital appointment. random starwars alarm clock bought from aldi done (yep only went in for some herbs) Blush but it might help ds to get up in the morning so that is him finished for christmas presents as the thing I had planned to make wont get made in time so will wait to bday present.
