This was meant to be a day of high activity here too but we are all a bit tired deflated as well.
Found dd earlier seated at dining room table after late lunch, head in hands, asleep - post exam exhaustion I reckon - have now transferred her to sofa with fleece and hot water bottle. Dh and I are sneezing away with headaches and seem to have this low level virus bug which keeps rearing its ugly head just when you think its gone. I dunno ... anyway, ploughing on ... .
That drive sounds awful Hills you must be cream crackered after it all.
Zoo I am so sorry to hear about your friend
sounds like a really tough situation.
Good luck with your list over next few days Bowerbird5! You sound extremely busy as ever.
Don't be too hard on yourself Cag if it's anything like here, it's horrible weather to take a baby out in, especially when sleep-deprived, (good excuse to wrap up warm and rest up a bit I'd say) . Well done re: message!
Whinge alert (pls feel free to ignore)
Right [sigh] I'd better get back to it. I have to say, I know it's my job and everything as dh works approx 11 hr extremely stressful days and I only do a third of those hrs, if that, but I am getting increasingly weary of all the "wife work" involved in Christmas. All the decisions about what to buy Great Aunt x on his side of the family, and all the presents and cards for the office, and all the planning. I love Christmas generally but when you get to my age
it feels a bit like ground-hog day.
Dh has just nipped out for 30 mins to "do his Christmas shopping" which means in reality, going to the office and ordering everything on line. Apart from a few errands in the car to collect hams and various bottles of alcohol and helping cook Christmas dinner, that is the only preparation he has to do for Christmas. I don't know whether to be cross or lost in admiration tbh
