Welcome to the June 2017 fledgling Fly thread!

Feel free to park your mops and buckets here from the 1st of the month!

This is where we attempt to declutter our homes and follow the 30-step wisdom of Flylady (minus cutesy barftastic language and a surfeit of e-mails) with lots of chat and support and mutual motivation (and Wine of course) along the way.

More info available here, here and here.

As usual we will be following a three-pronged approach - and don't worry - we are all at different stages. (Some of us are still stuck at the decluttering stage after quite a few years Blush):

1 - repeat or start baby steps (again!)

2 - repeat baby steps + do 15 mins a day decluttering in the current zone

or

3 - reinforce babysteps and/or do daily missions

And those of you who have decluttered and are really enthusiastic can throw some detailed cleaning in to the mix as well!

The idea is that we focus on short, ring-fenced, daily bursts of activity (steps and routines) that will help our homes run (more or less!) on "automatic pilot" allowing us to do far more interesting things instead!

This is a very long-running thread so we may appear cliquey but we really aren't! All newcomers, long-termers, lurkers and intermittent returnees welcome!

Helpful pointers: No perfectionism allowed! If it took a while to create the current C.H.A.O.S. (can't have anyone over syndrome) in your home, then it will probably take a while to reverse the situation (you can't clean clutter!). Small steps are the key! And you are never behind: just jump in where you are at!

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Good luck!

Have done general tidying today, DD still full of cold/runny nose and is struggling a bit but really got stuck in to her homework and got it out of the way. I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Meh, I know mobile user are having trouble getting in to the site but it's been down at least twice this morning for me on my laptop!

As I mentioned on another thread, I've done a tip run after tetris-packing my small car with bags of rubbish, clothes for recycling and cardboard. The house still looks no different SadSmile

Einstein take the painkillers! Do they work pretty much straight away, I used to be on meds for pain relief that you had to take consistently (all about the level in your bloodstream ya know) for them to work. They were not instant-acting and took days. Keep taking the meds!

Stilllivinginazoo · 13/06/2017 13:40

Cotswold other thread you say?
Are you cheating on us with another?Grin

Stilllivinginazoo · 13/06/2017 13:41

PS blue tips for sweet peas?two attempts, both died on me(not a competent gardener)

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/06/2017 13:58

Sweet pea tips from me, lots of water, lots of food, tie them to canes, don't let weeds take over. They take a while to get established so be patient.

I've been awol because I'm spending too much time gardening recently.

BluePheasant · 13/06/2017 14:06

Yes second what Wh0 said, loads of water and feed them like you would tomatoes. They can't cope with drying out. Keep cutting the flowers and feeding and they will keep flowering all summer Smile

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 13/06/2017 14:08
