My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

I saw those huge bottles of zoflo in Wilko's today Shatner. I restrained myself as I have a selection already! I've used zoflora for years. I didn't realise it was a 'thing'. I've finally got something right.

I washed/dried DS's bedding earlier. He is 11 and his room is starting to whiff of hamsters a bit. But a capful of zoflo in the wash - his room smells gorgeous. I also keep a spray bottle of diluted zoflo in the bathroom and spray it around the bath/sink/toilet between cleans and whenever I fancy. We live in a flat and doing this makes the whole place smell lovely.

I have a bagged hoover so I put a few drops on a cotton wool pad and put it in the bag. It makes every room smell lovely when we vacuum.

Forgive us Kidnapped for the digression. Thanks for sharing the magnificent picture. I am going to have a road trip adventure to buy all the scents. We could make it into a movie. A rom-com. Or a thriller.

I am disappointed to hear of your disappointment Messez. I was hoping that it would change my life. When you talked about combining the airer with Zoflora I was quite overcome. CurtainsforRonnie gives me some hope with the cover idea.

LaundryQueen I have a Dyson and have never thought of putting Zoflora in it. Until now...is the point of it to freshen up the Dyson or to make the carpets smell nice? If it's to freshen the carpets I would just spray them lightly instead. Like a shake and vac but better and fancier. On balance, although I do like to live dangerously (I am edgy), I won't put Zoflora on the filter but I will try the cotton ball idea Grin

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 21:06

Although....FrancisCrawford who is clearly an advanced Zoflora user mentioned putting some on freshly cleaned filters....do you have a Dyson?

Zoflorabore · 21/10/2016 21:10

I currently have 13 bottles on the go!!
Normally love bouquet and country garden but am so happy that last years limited edition " winter morning " is back. Every time I go to Asda I buy another one.

Today I went wild and bought warm cinammon. Will be using tomorrow, I especially like it for skirting boards and door frames aswell as banisters, I use it for pretty much everything, even my user name Grin

ClaudiaNaughton · 21/10/2016 21:11

Neep neep I'm loving that presentation Grin

Zoflorabore · 21/10/2016 21:14

I have a basket Blush

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 21/10/2016 21:17

Thanks Neep

It's more to get the scent wafting around when you are using the vacuum and to freshen the stale smell you get in the vacuum cleaner.

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 21:19

Thank you Claudia Blush

Zoflorabore we need a picture of your basket! Also, 13 bottles on the go! You are simply a better person than me. I can't compete with that.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 21/10/2016 21:22

Actually, I wonder if on a Dyson you could, after cleaning the filters, give them a final rinse in 50/50 Zoflora/water and leave to dry as usual. Anyone done this? Might try this tomorrow and report back... If I live to tell the tale Shock

VikingChallenger · 21/10/2016 21:24

I probably sound dense, but where do you put it in the dyson? And do you dilute it before or use concentrate?
Also, is it safe to use it to clean the bath tub before baby's bath?

Loving this thread!

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 21:24

LaundryQueen you know the spongey circle things that are not the filter? Maybe you could soak those in a Zoflora solution and give a good rinse?

Zoflorabore · 21/10/2016 21:27

Yes it's quite safe to use before bathing baby, have done it for years, mine are 13 and 5.

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 21:27

Viking I would use a very weak solution and rinse it really well for the bath. Don't tell anyone on here, I use dettol for the bath. Mum's the word.

HemanOrSheRa · 21/10/2016 21:29

The thing with the cotton wool pad neep is you just suck the pad/ball up into the hoover Grin. It pleases me! Anytime you feel it's not wafting off enough scent or you need extra, you just add another scented pad!

headinhands · 21/10/2016 21:30

Haven't read the thread but I make my own version of Febreeze using a few drops of neat zoflora in a spray bottle. I was using zoflora to disinfect my laundry but was costing £££. Now buy cheap disinfectant and fabric conditioner and mix the two to add to the fabric conditioner drawer (1/2 and 1/2). Working a treat.

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 21:34

Oh I could have fun with that Herman. That's my Saturday night taken care of.

My house/Zoflora
NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 21:35

Sorry Heman not Herman

HemanOrSheRa · 21/10/2016 22:08

Hehe! That's ok Neep I get called that all the time. Here, obviously, not in RL. That would be weird Confused Grin.

HemanOrSheRa · 21/10/2016 22:12

Ooh. Has anyone mentioned putting a capful into the dishwasher (the mechanical kind) and putting it on a rinse cycle? That makes the dishwasher and the whole kitchen smell lovely and fresh.

TheLionQueen · 21/10/2016 22:15

Crikey this thread has moved on today! Not read it all yet as I'm howling at "a Zoflora rush every time you flush!" and "if I have another daughter I might name her Zoflora Grin
Cleaning went well today- I especially liked damp dusting with it and started the clean with a bowl of boiling water with a capful of bouquet in!

I have rose Zoflora'd the whole ground floor today and my car. I love rose anything!
My house smells divine. I have just ordered a 500ml linen

hillyhilly · 21/10/2016 22:24

Country garden all the way here, was told about it by my car valeter - I've done my car today and it smells amazing!

hillyhilly · 21/10/2016 22:24

Also the tip about putting some on the Hoover bag - genius, works a treat!

TheLionQueen · 21/10/2016 22:27

This thread has made me chuckle, I feel like we deserve shares in Zoflora!
Laundryqueen I washed my Dyson filter out and did a final rinse in Zoflora- taking an age to dry but will let you know if it's worth it.
Looking forward to trying it in the laundry when I do towels & bedding - hope it makes it fresher for longer, just love that fresh smell when you climb in to bed!
