My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

I give the car mats a little spray. Got to be Linen though.

babynugget · 21/10/2016 16:20

Back from my shopping trip. Managed to limit myself to a few flavours but there were loads more including apple and hyacinth which I don't think anyone has mentioned on here. So far have managed to do the kitchen Worktops, the little bathroom, several radiators, door handles, window sills and skirting boards. Also picked up a couple of spray bottles so sprayed the sofas and carpets. Loving the Fresh Linen and Twilight Garden but since the citrus fresh one is a huge bottle I'm trying to use that for bigger areas. House is smelling good and my OH is working in the back garden and says he can even smell it out there. Not bad for a Zoflo virgin eh?

It's making me want to clean though and that's never happened before!!!

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 16:57

Dafadddu Not sure about putting it in the ambipure. It says keep away from heat

Pigsbum · 21/10/2016 17:09

Based entirely on this thread I bought a large bottle of bluebell meadow today from B&M for £3.99 and am about to commence cleaning...

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 17:11

babynugget that is an impressive selection. I love your work so far and your display of commitment. I just feel, and please don't be offended, that you could work on your presentation. I mean it's almost as if you just lined up the boxes and took a picture. No one would do that so I am sure it's just an oversight. Completely understandable given the excitement. I wish you all the best with your new collection. Here are three of my favourites.

i am midway through my first zoflo experience. Sainsbury's Roulette provided me with cinnamon and whilst I am normally a complete Scrooge before mid November I've decided to roll with this one. Disappointed it wasn't linen but I'll keep my eye out next time I go to the shops. I'm damp dusting for the first time in a long time!

MessezFaire · 21/10/2016 17:20

I just zoflorad the Lakeland heated airer. I'm feeling very mumsnet right now. Even wearing a boden Breton Blush

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 17:24

Oooooh Messez I have been thinking about heated airers. Do you like yours?

neep I am so ashamed, being new to this I have completely underestimated the standard expected. I will work on this for future. Out of interest, do you actually use your Zoflo or is it for decorative purposes only? Wink

NeepNeepNeep · 21/10/2016 17:47

baby nugget Don't feel bad. We all had to start somewhere. Since you ask, I have functional and decorative Zoflora. I gave away all my best china to make space in the display cabinet for my most cherished bottles. Obviously I still treat my functional Zoflora with respect and display nicely but I do open the boxes. I hope this helps.

ShatnersBassoon · 21/10/2016 17:54

I just bought a whopping 500ml bottle in Wilko at half price - £2.25! I've never seen such a big beauty.

I use it diluted and spray inside football boots, trainers etc.

Catcrazy08 · 21/10/2016 18:08

I pour little splodge in drains

CurtainsforRonnie · 21/10/2016 18:14

ShatnersBassoon What flavour? Envy

ShatnersBassoon · 21/10/2016 18:17

Linen. There were others, but they were ones I've never used before so I wasn't interested in gambling on such an investment piece Grin

MessezFaire · 21/10/2016 18:20

To be honest I'm not that impressed although I'd never admit that to DH because I persuaded him it was going to revolutionise the laundry. It's marginally better than a non heated one of you hang things over the bars normally. It's pretty good if you lay clothes flat across the bars but then you're limited to what fits without making too many layers of clothes that will never dry

CurtainsforRonnie · 21/10/2016 18:27

I love my airer, do you use a cover?
I can get two loads dry overnight.

NoelHeadbands · 21/10/2016 19:31

Green Valley smells like a perfume i used to wear but i can't work out what it is

Smells a bit like Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers to me

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 21/10/2016 19:50

'Dafadddu Not sure about putting it in the ambipure. It says keep away from heat'
*
Neep*, this is what worries me about putting it on the filter in my Dyson (although I am dying to!). I have only been so brave as to put it in a cotton pad inside where the dust collects, you can smell it but I'm sure it would be more effective on the filter.

Can anyone verify if this is safe?

Kidnapped · 21/10/2016 19:53

Whoa there, gals. Just stop right there - enough with the heated airers talk.

Let's get back to these beauties.

I bought Linen from the Pound shop today and have been on a spree! Thanks for this thread! I am a total convert. DH thinks I've gone mad as I have been going on about all the uses for this wonder potion.

Thank you, my Mum is visiting from abroad at the weekend and my house will smell fresh and not of dog! Flowers

ShatnersBassoon · 21/10/2016 20:10

I put some in the wash with the cloths and mops I'd cleaned the house with Zoflora with Confused Grin
