My house/Zoflora

TheLionQueen · 20/10/2016 11:28

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

I got them in Morrisons.
I think they were £1.39 each. I'm loving Winter Morning. Although Winter Spice is still my absolute favourite.

AdoraBell · 15/11/2016 22:45

Buggeroff I totally blame this lot. I'd never even considered buying the stuff until I saw this thread, now I have some in the cupboard Hmm Grin

BuggerOffDailyMirror · 16/11/2016 07:00

Well I zoflo'ed the kitchen last night (I'm supposed to be on bed rest but I'm going out of my mind with DP's valiant but hopeless attempt to keep things clean) and it's not bad at all! I used green valley, diluted it (12.5ml in 500ml of water) as stated on the bottle and wiped everything down, then put it on a cotton pad in the bottom of the bin and did a bath mats and bits wash with it. I got creative and I have found a couple more uses:

Add it to the wash when you do the bathroom mats if you have them, fragrances the bathroom lovely!

This is my favourite: if you keep a canvas bag rolled up in your handbag, hand wash it in a 50/50 with zoflora and let it completely dry before returning it to you handbag... voila, lovely waft of zoflo whenever you open your bag!

PrancerForHoney · 16/11/2016 07:16

I wonder if it's safe to use around Cow's. The spring calves are in for winter and by God they stink! Wink

PrancerForHoney · 16/11/2016 07:17

BuggerOffDailyMirror
Ditto if you have a fabric shower curtain.

BuggerOffDailyMirror · 16/11/2016 13:00

WINTER MORNING WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE???

May or may not have just bought 10 bottles of it and cleared out Tesco Blush

I'm going to mix up a spray of 1:40 for daily surface wipes in living room and kitchen, bedroom etc then a 1:1 for bathroom and any dirty jobs like sinks and bins, then have a 1:0 spray (neat) for radiators, sills and vacuum filter etc Grin

What have you guys done to me Shock

BretonStripe · 16/11/2016 18:36

Haha BuggerOff that's quite a haul! Don't blame you though, Winter Morning is The Scent of Ye Gods imo.

I've been enjoying my Cranberry & Orange today. Much prefer it to the Warm Cinnamon, which is a touch too sweet, even for me.

Was thinking we should all list our top five scents, in order. Here's mine (though must confess to being a relative newbie, and haven't tried any of the floral ones as pretty sure I won't like them).

1 - Winter Garden
2 - Winter Spice
3 - Cranberry & Orange
4 - Fresh Linen
5 - Warm Cinnamon

Think I'll nip to Sainsbo's tomorrow and treat myself to some Twilight Garden. DH has just commented "how many bottles do you need?!". Oh he has no idea...

(P.s BuggerOff really hope you're feeling much better after your ordeal).

BretonStripe · 16/11/2016 18:37

Sorry! Did it again...Winter MORNING! Not Winter Garden. Apologies if anyone got excited that there was a new scent.

DillFunk · 16/11/2016 18:48

Ok, here are my top 5:

1- Warm Cinnamon
2- Cranberry & Orange
3 - Twilight Garden
4- Summer Bouquet
5- Sweetpea

Wish the last two were a bit stronger/long lasting though.

MadisonAvenue · 16/11/2016 18:54

I picked up Warm Cinnamon and Winter Morning from Asda today.

I blame you lot.

PrancerForHoney · 16/11/2016 19:15

There's a Sweetpea one???????
My favourites are 1-Winter Spice, 2- Winter Morning, 3- Bluebell Woods, 4-Twilight Garden and 5- Rose. But that's this week. Who knows what new delights I'll find next week. Grin

DillFunk · 16/11/2016 19:31

Yeah, sweetpea smells lovely, like babies and talc.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 16/11/2016 20:41

Dill Shock where did you get sweetpea????

Smartleatherbag · 16/11/2016 20:44

Evening all.
My tops ten (though I'm a novice)
1 Rose
2 Linen
3 Bouquet
4 Winter Spice
5 Cranberry and Orange
HOWEVER I have yet to track down the other seasonal ones. My search continues.

IneedAdinosaurNickname · 16/11/2016 20:44

I now have about 8 bottles of this magical stuff. I need to start cleaning. Grin

TheLionQueen · 16/11/2016 21:42

Swinging by morrisons after the gym tomorrow. Will be rewarding myself with winter morning instead of food!

Just been perusing the ZoFlo website. Like you do.

Actual Zoflora Website

They only appear to list 17 flavours; they've missed Cherry Blossom and Cranberry & Orange. I cannot believe there are 19 different scents! I want to try Apple Orchard and Cherry Blossom next for sure.

BretonStripe · 16/11/2016 22:20

TheLion enjoy your Winter Morning, I finished my bottle today Sad

BretonStripe · 16/11/2016 22:22

Oh wait, they don't have Winter Spice on their website either, so there are 20 flavours or so.

Maybe the advent calendar idea can become a reality...

DillFunk · 16/11/2016 22:23

LaundryQueen it was from our local corner shop, it's the only place I've seen it and I'm getting a bit panicky because it's running out and I might not be able to replace it.

BuggerOffDailyMirror · 16/11/2016 22:41

BretonStripe I'm getting there steadily thanks :) up and about and can do basic jobs. Ventured to Tesco today but had a 3 hour nap afterwards Blush

BretonStripe · 16/11/2016 22:55

Bugger I read your thread on the Saturday morning and was agog! Told lots of people about it. So scary. I also posted on your thread about me nearly dying a couple of years ago, and the "what if?" thoughts still pop up now and then, but I'm glad to say it does get a lot easier.

Dill I'm adding Sweet pea to my Most Wanted list now. I get so deflated when I go to random shops and they only have The Usual Suspects in B&M I'm looking at you

DillDongMerrilyOnHigh · 16/11/2016 23:04

I know what you mean Breton , just shelf loads of lavender and hyacinth. Sweetpea was the first flavour I bought. Oh, the innocence of the novice Zoflora connoisseur. I should have bulk-bought.

Cherry Blossom and Pink Grapefruit are on my hit list.
