My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

MrTCakes I bought a spray bottle in Wilkos (the gardening section) and it was pretty cheap!

Zoflorabore · 23/10/2016 17:30

It's not red it's HOT PINK Grin
I have just been on a mercy mission to Asda ( they let me in with 15 mins until closing ) and am now the proud owner of green valley by zoflora so my collection has peaked to 14.

This week I am going to find every single variety available and use each one cos I've been too loyal to bouquet and country garden for far too long- need to broaden my horizons.
And add a wicker basket to the list....
Anyone here from Liverpool? We could set up a zoflora appreciation society.

SauvignonBlanche · 23/10/2016 17:32

I've just been back to Home Bargains and got another spray bottle (pink for my Rose Zoflora) for 39p.

I didn't open all the other boxes of Zoflora and sniff them - honest! Blush

Have just had visions of our Christmas lists-
Zoflora

I love this thread!!

Biscuitr
Got a bit of a musty smell in my house at the moment from the dog, going to try so many of the recommendations!

MrTCakes · 23/10/2016 17:43

Could I dab some behind my ears?
Add a dash to a g&t/cupcakes?

WHAT ELSE CAN I USE IT FOR I LOVE IT

celeste83 · 23/10/2016 17:43

I love bleach. It actually gives off its distinctive chlorine smell when its destroying germs hence why when you put it down the loo it stinks the room out because its literally the smell of dead germs Grin

wineusuallyhelps · 23/10/2016 17:47

MrTCakes - imagine if they did G&T fragrance! I'd be all over that! Halloween Grin

SirChenjin · 23/10/2016 17:47

Zoflora has a website - all sorts of excitement on there! www.zoflora.co.uk/usage-and-tips

MrTCakes · 23/10/2016 17:58

The smell of dead germs!! Oh that makes me so happy.

MrTCakes · 23/10/2016 17:59

Should I recommend they create a freshly baked cake limited edition?

MrTCakes Its true Grin The loo is the only place i use bleach now. The sadist in me loves the smell of dying germs Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 23/10/2016 18:31

I use bleach in the toilets. Love the smell of dying germs!

MrT I just re use spray bottles for my diluted zoflo solution. Nothing that contained bleach like flash spray, obviously. I tend to re use rinsed out Method spray bottles.

SirChenjin · 23/10/2016 18:55

Ooooh!!!

From the Zoflora website - I put a little of the Warm Cinnamon scented Zoflora on a piece of cotton wool, and put it with my handmade Christmas cards stash so they smell really festive when people receive them"

In my case it would be the shop bought box of cards, but the sentiment would be the same...

SirChenjin · 23/10/2016 18:57

Another tip...

"I dab some Zoflora on a tea towel and put it on a warm radiator in my kitchen after I have cooked a strong smelling meal, to instantly refresh the kitchen"

TheLionQueen · 23/10/2016 19:42

Oh a vanilla flavour, now you're talking! That would be immense, I love vanilla.
I've got to say after waiting for the vac filter to dry for three days I am somewhat underwhelmed. Going to try hoovering up a cotton ball and hope for better results!
Next week's experiment will be DH dressing gown which stinks nearly as bad as his bloody pillow!

Thank you babynugget I will have to take a trip to home bargains to look for the apple one.

I can't believe how many posts there have been since I last posted Grin

SabrinaTheTeenageBitch · 23/10/2016 20:05

I have a Gtech air ram - thick question but where do I put my zoflora scented balls

TheLionQueen · 23/10/2016 20:12

I thought the same on Fri bluebird who'd have thought there were so many fans of the flo!
Sabrina I'd just put it direct in the compartment where the dust gathers but it might not be quite as effective as the gtech doesn't blow loads of air out as it works iyswim. And you have to empty it more frequently? Worth a try though!

I have seen this Zoflora you speak of but I've never used it...#shameless marking of place Grin

Realitybitesyourbum · 23/10/2016 20:27

I have bought Zoflora for the first time yesterday after reading this thread. I got hyacinth and winter spice. I have to say, I'm hooked!!! I have never cleaned so much! Even my dd9 is saying, will you stop going on about Zoflora!!! I have used it in the kitchen and bathroom, cleaned my bin, even my front door and radiators. My ds was very confused and asked me what I was doing when I started cleaning the skirting boards!!!
It smells so nice and the smell lingers. I actually could still smell it when I came down stairs this morning!
