My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

It's Saturday night and I'm googling Zoflora. FML! Grin

SlinkyB · 22/10/2016 22:47

Have LOVED reading this thread! Grin Recent convert. Agree that the Linen smells like cheap 90's aftershave.

I went to HB (though loving the Homey B's description, might have to start calling it that) earlier in the week and spent a good couple of minutes ferreting around the boxes of ZoFlo and smelling them all. Decided the lavender and hyacinth were gipping, but I don't do floral scents at the best of times. They were £1.19 for the little bottles, which was annoying as had read on another Z thread they were 59p.

Plumped for the Winter Spice and then on the back of this thread, cracked open a new spray bottle and damp dusted the kids bedrooms earlier with it. Quite like it.

Might have got carried away and squirted the curtains and sofa with it...then felt a bit wheezy? Anyone else had this reaction before?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/10/2016 23:07

you lot are crackers!
It reminds me of sick bowls cos that's what my mother used to put in them before we vommed.

tiredvommachine · 23/10/2016 00:53

My name is Tired (cos I'm always tired) and before this thread I hadn't even heard of Zoflora.

MrTCakes There comes a time when the student surpasses the master. The soft, candle lit scene suggestive of a cosy, hygienic winter's evening. The pine cones, good Lord, the pine cones. They nearly finished me. Fly high and fly free little bird. You are the master now.

babynugget Do not envy MrT's talent for thematic displays. Your strength lies in crafting delicate knotwork cradles for the precious bottles of Zoflora. Perhaps one day you and MrT will combine your gifts to create the ultimate Zoflora display.

Do not forget your old teacher. Remember me fondly. I may have been harsh at times but I always meant well. Whenever a waft of synthetic rose is carried to you on the breeze, think of me.

There's a nice one in the yellow box called something like "Springtime"

Linen is nice for kitchen and utility room
Lavender- I love it! Good for bed linen very relaxing
Pink Grapefruit - very zingy and fresh

They now do seasonal smells like warm cinnamon.

daisychain01 · 23/10/2016 08:12

current favourites are green valley and winter morning

The green valley one is fab, I was so excited I bought 4 as they were on offer in Tesco!

SoupDragon · 23/10/2016 09:09

Springtime smells of pine toilet cleaner :o

Frouby · 23/10/2016 09:17

It was my birthday yesterday.

Me and DP went out for the second time in 3 years. I got very drunked on gin. Very drunk.

I went to bed and dreamt of zoflora.

How fucking sad am I.

CurtainsforRonnie · 23/10/2016 09:34

Oh ffs, I took the linen one back to poundland yesterday, as someone on here said it smelt of aftershave. I swapped it for springtime!

I cant swap it again Grin

I had a sniff of hyacinth in B&M stores & it smelt lovely I think

BobobunnyhOp I'm goin to do that today. Washing machine hasn't been smelling too good needs a bit of tlc. Thanks

CaoNiMao · 23/10/2016 11:02

New convert checking in! I had never heard of the stuff until this thread. Yesterday I went to my local Poundland and came out with Winter Spice, Cinammon & Orange, and Linen. The whole flat now smells like a winter wonderland. Not tried the Linen yet. Saving it for the next cleaning blitz (which I am now, as a consequence LOOKING FORWARD to!)

Manumission · 23/10/2016 12:37

which I am now, as a consequence LOOKING FORWARD to!)

I know the feeling. I don't think we're quite well Grin

SirChenjin · 23/10/2016 13:26

One visit to Homey B's later and I am now the proud owner of Winter Spice (£1 something) and Boquet (59p) - and to top it off, the lady in front of me in the queue pointed to the Winter Spice, smiled knowingly and said "that's the best thing about this time of year"!

I was dying to know if she was a MNetter...

SirChenjin · 23/10/2016 13:26

Bouquet even

Haffdonga · 23/10/2016 13:40

Bah. Zoflo Schmoflo. Angry

Very excited Zoflo virgin clearly I need a life Put in my first washing machine load of 2 dog towels with added Zoflo and the washing machine has died. Dead. And blew up the electrics in the utilty room.

I'm not exactly blaming the Zoflo but I'm so angry about the washing machine that I need a scapegoat. Grrrr.

wineusuallyhelps · 23/10/2016 13:50

When I was a little girl and I looked to the future, getting excited about Zoflora was not part of the picture. Yet here I am!!! Putting it in the washing machine for the dog's bedding is a revelation!

I got Winter Spice, Springtime and the linen one in Poundland yesterday. Have made up a bottle and am squirting it anywhere I can think of Grin

Enjoy your Zoflora Sundays, everyone (Zundays? Zofundays?!?!!!!!).

babyinthacorner · 23/10/2016 13:50

Following!

Dafadddu · 23/10/2016 14:06

I cant wait to go to HB tomorrow. Disinfectant is the only thing on my list.

I put a capful in my fab cond drawer yesterday with a wash. Oh dear....im now a convert.

wineusuallyhelps · 23/10/2016 14:12

Oh and forgot to add. I'm not allowed to use Hyacinth as DH says it smells like "an old woman has had a poo and has tried to mask the smell" Hmm
