My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

Oooh....you should so suggest that to Zoflora

ChampagneCommunist · 22/10/2016 18:24

I'm going to have to go to Sainsbury's tomorrow & get some!

DragonMamma · 22/10/2016 18:28

Another Zoflora fan here. I went to Poundworld today and they had Cranberry and Orange. Smells lovely.

After reading this thread, I made myself a Zoflora spray (chucking out nearly a whole bottle of something else to accommodate it) and spritzed my curtains and a bit of sofa, just because.

CurbsideProphet · 22/10/2016 18:35

I've been so inspired by this thread that I've bought a sprayer and cut price large bottle of linen zoflora in Wilkos. I've also bought the £1 winter spice Grin

Oh MrTCakes. I like that you have got a good selection (praise first, next comes the criticism). They are not the right way up. At least babynugget stood the boxes on end. We will gloss over the fact that nugget gave no thought to the toaster in the background. Now to end on a positive...I like your username.

babynugget you can go to the top of the class. You took your criticism well and are improving. I feel quite emotional now.

Claudia I feel like this is my fault really. I didn't offer enough practical examples. I must fix this.

So tomorrow morning I'm hotfooting it to Tesco to get some of this wonder potion and I'm planning to spend my Sunday cleaning. DP will be veeeeerrry happy! How have I missed the zoflora hype up to now and why am I spending my Saturday evening thinking about all the wonderful things I can do?! I'm holding you all responsible for this unusual behaviour! Now, where's the wine? Grin

Isitadoubleentendre · 22/10/2016 19:44

I fell out of love a bit with Zoflora when I realised it stripping the varnish off my dining table, and that along with all the warnings on the back made me wonder if I should be using it!

On the back of this thread I might go and rekindle the love though.

Maybe I will buy a bulk load and wrap each one in cellophane, maybe covered in glitter, and i can sell them on a Facebook shite selling group for 20 quid! I bet you guys would buy wouldn't you?

NeepNeepNeep · 22/10/2016 19:51

"it's all going to be fine* The beauty of Zoflora , if not the very point, is that you don't have to disinfect everything. It just smells like you have Wink

Loving this thread!

I have no Home Bargains or Wilko near me and do all my shopping with Ocado, who do not stock Zoflora.

I have just emailed them to tell them that they are missing a trick because Mumsnettters, many of whom are also Ocado-ers, are mad for the stuff Grin

Joins Gary

My name is Sirchenjin, and tomorrow I am heading to Home Bargains for my Zoflora fix. I am far more excited than I should be, and if they don't have the Christmassy one I think I might actually cry.

I got winter spice, cranberry and orange, bouquet and linen in B&M today. So excited! Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 22/10/2016 21:26

Ok. I'll confess. My name is MrsH and I've been using Zoflora for the last 20 years or so. Sometimes I like to cut it with Stardrops or Fairy Platinum if I'm feeling flush.

TheLionQueen · 22/10/2016 21:34

My name is LionQueen and I'm a recent Zoflora addict. I think about it often. Take today, got in the car, thought how wonderfully the zoflo would clean the dashboard and how it would smell nice in the winter sun..

BoboBunnyH0p · 22/10/2016 21:56

Thanks for the washer tip, I popped some in the softner draw and ran it empty. Washer now spells lovely as does the whole kitchen, DH even asked what the smell was in a nice way.

bluebump · 22/10/2016 22:04

I love Zoflora and have a good selection in the cupboard, the one that I never managed to get hold of was the limited edition Apple one, did anyone ever get one?

Current favourites are green valley and winter morning.

babynugget · 22/10/2016 22:05

Oh MrT you just couldn't let me be top of the class could you? Envy just let me finish this macrame and I shall wow you all with my display.

babynugget · 22/10/2016 22:07

bluebump my local Home Bargains had a tonne of the apple one in yesterday.
