I've been feeling rough the past few days so haven't managed much housework. I'm hoping to get that all sorted by tomorrow though. Tomorrow's list is:

  • strip beds
  • remake beds
  • washing (think there's 4, maybe 5 loads including bed covers)
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • tidy bedrooms
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • tidy living room
  • dust living room
  • wash dishes and clean kitchen
  • empty bins
  • tidy shoe rack in hall
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs
  • Hoover big rug in living room
  • clean all mirrors
  • clean inside windows
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom
  • pick up girls' school tights ordered from Tesco
  • take dd's shirt back to Next
  • buy some fruit pouches for toddler whilst at Tesco

All these jobs need to be done whilst entertaining the toddler as dh is at work tomorrow. Should be fun...

Afternoon everyone! Okay, had quite a productive morning.

Bed stripped
Bedding washed
Load in the tumble dryer
Hoovering done
Bathroom cleaned
Dusting done
Mattress Hoovered
Kitchen drawers cleared out
Clutter tidied
Kitchen surfaces wiped down
Clean clothes and towels folded and put away
Went to the shops to get a few bits
Cushion covers washed and tumbled

Bins need to go out
Recycling needs sorted

I've done nothing again today apart from sit on the sofa in my pyjamas. You've shamed me into moving though, Handbags, so I'm off to put some washing in the machine.

Kim82 · 17/01/2016 09:55

Morning everyone. I'm finally starting to feel a little better so need to catch up on a hoard of housework. Dh is taking the kids to his mum's for a couple of hours after the baby's nap so I can crack on. Today's list:

  • make cooked breakfast
  • strip beds
  • remake beds
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • tidy bedrooms
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • tidy living room
  • dust living room
  • wash dishes
  • clean kitchen
  • empty bins
  • tidy shoe rack in hall
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom
  • clean all mirrors
  • clean all inside windows
  • iron uniforms
  • clean out cat litter tray
  • clean cats feeding mats (they're full of muddy footprints from the cats and bits of cat food, it's rank!)
  • make sure kids have done homework

Can't wait to get it all done and get on top of everything again, it really gets me down when I've been ill and the house is a tip. I'm looking forward to tonight, having a clean, sparkly house and all kids bathed and in fresh beds ready for school tomorrow.

rabbit123 · 17/01/2016 15:38
  • stripped all 3 beds and put fresh bedding on
  • dirty bedding in the wash (2 loads)
  • bins emptied and recycling sorted (so many bottles, only one week!)
  • kitchen surfaces, sink, hob and oven cleaned
  • dishwasher emptied
  • all floors vacuumed and hard floors mopped
  • 2 bathrooms cleaned
  • everywhere dusted
  • downstairs windows cleaned

There wasn't much tidying up to do, the kids tidied their rooms and put toys away yesterday, so it was just cleaning left to do.

Now I'm sitting here with a cuppa looking at the ironing and wishing it would just sort itself out!

Kim82 · 17/01/2016 18:32

Okay, almost there:

  • make cooked breakfast done
  • strip beds done
  • remake beds done
  • washing done
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • tidy bedrooms done
  • dust bedrooms done
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug done
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom done
  • tidy living room done
  • dust living room done
  • wash dishes done
  • clean kitchen done
  • empty bins done
  • tidy shoe rack in hall done
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs done
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom done
  • clean all mirrors done
  • clean all inside windows done
  • iron uniforms
  • clean out cat litter tray done
  • clean cats feeding mats (they're full of muddy footprints from the cats and bits of cat food, it's rank!) done
  • make sure kids have done homework

Tea has been eaten and cleaned up after, I'm just running a bath ready for the baby then I need to:

Iron uniforms
Fold clean washing
Stick a load in the dryer
Check kids' homework
Dry girls' hair
Take meat out of freezer for tomorrow's tea

I think I'm done after that.

afreshstartplease · 17/01/2016 18:47

Feel so drained but need to push on and do things

Been up past three nights and two earlier in the week with poorly toddler

Did manage a fair bit yesterday which was good as house was a state after working 45 hour week but a lot feels like its been undone today

Kids rooms are tidy. Mine is semi tidy.

Bathroom needs a full clean
Everywhere needs hoovering
I have tea pots to do
Surfaces to wipe
Pets to clean out
Would like to finish my bedroom
Two beds need making

For now 1 DC is bathed and second about to go in. All reading and homework is complete.

Drinking my energy drink and will start on the kitchen

Was at niece's party this afternoon, so not much done today!

Put a washing on before we left and had a quick tidy round.
Aired the bed.

Returned from party, made tea.
DH dealing with tea dishes whilst I am having a shower...then I will do a wipe down/tidy of the kitchen after him.
Then making the packed lunches for tomorrow.

This week I need to take some old blinds and other crap to the dump.

Shinyshoes2 · 17/01/2016 21:51

Ooooooh I find these threads very inspirational....I'll have to work out a list for tomorrow

INeedNewShoes · 17/01/2016 21:56

Some of these lists are quite something!

I cleaned my oven today. I think there should be a special prize for that especially given that I'd put it off for so long as I was overwhelmed at the prospect of the task!

Kim82 · 18/01/2016 11:04

Morning everyone. So far:

  • washing third load just about to go in
  • wash breakfast dishes done
  • pick up girls tights from Tesco
  • pick up some veg, cat biscuits and fruit pouches whilst at Tesco
  • take back dd's top to Next
  • put meat in slow cooker for tea done
  • fold and put away clean washing towels folded and put away, no more dry yet
Zippidydoodah · 18/01/2016 11:48

You must all be far more efficient than I am Sad

skulks off

Kim82 · 18/01/2016 13:41

We're not always this motivated Zippidy, I've not done anything for days until yesterday!

  • washing fourth load in
  • wash breakfast dishes done
  • pick up girls tights from Tesco done
  • pick up some veg, cat biscuits and fruit pouches whilst at Tesco done
  • take back dd's top to Next
  • put meat in slow cooker for tea done
  • fold and put away clean washing second load folded and put away, no more dry yet
handbags88 · 18/01/2016 15:27

Right, here goes...

About to go for driving lesson after work, then when I get home:

Make bed
Put load of washing on
Fold clean towels from yesterday
Cook tea
Hoover downstairs
Mop kitchen floor
Fill in forms for work
File paperwork (bloody mountain of the stuff!)

Then planning on a bath and bed Grin

Zippidydoodah · 18/01/2016 16:04

I'm rubbish with time mAbagement, motivation or not!!

best get off mn, then!

Kim82 · 18/01/2016 16:21

I won't have time to go to next now so that's been bumped to tomorrow's list.

All I have left to do today is:

  • fold and put away last load of washing when dryer finishes
  • cook chips and veg to go with meat in slow cooker
  • clean up after tea
  • bath toddler
  • supervise homework
handbags88 · 18/01/2016 18:28

My house is tiny (and we have too much stuff) so if I turn around for two seconds it reverts to being a craphole. Last year it was a craphole most of the time, this thread is helping to give me a kick up the arse though Grin
That and the fear of having my baby and never ever being able to get back on top of it...
So it has been looking acceptable for the last week and a bit!

Kim82 · 18/01/2016 19:04

We have the same issue, Handbags, with a small house and loads of stuff. There's 6 of us in a small 3 bed semi so we make use of all available space for storage! Dh hands his clothes up in what used to be the airing cupboard! Grin

Anyway, all jobs are now done and I can relax.

Tomorrow's jobs are:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe down worktops
  • fold and put away few bits of washing that can't go in the dryer so are hanging in the kitchen overnight tonight
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • go to Aldi
  • go to Next
  • wipe over both bathrooms
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs

I think that's it. I actually don't have a single item of clothing in the washing machine at the moment as I did it all today so don't have any washing to do tomorrow - it's a miracle!

handbags88 · 18/01/2016 19:51

Airing cupboard wardrobe - love it Kim! That will be my DH in the near future...

I have shoved a wash on, tumble is actually not dry so is back on, dinner made, all Hoovered and I bleached the loo while I was in there. DH has at last sorted the bins and recycling.

Just the dreaded pile of paperwork now...Confused

celeste83 · 18/01/2016 20:28

Going to have to join this thread I think. Some days i'm so lazy and the next i'm cleaning the whole house. One or the other. Today has been a lazy day.
