Evening all. I've had a lazy day today, I stripped the beds, washed and dried the covers and remade them all. Other than that I just did the basics - washing dishes, making tea, keeping kids entertained.

Tomorrow's list is:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • bathe toddler
  • sweep floors downstairs
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • dust and polish living room
  • pick car up from garage (hopefully)
  • pick toddler's milk and meds up from chemist
  • go to the shop for more bananas

I'll just do an easy tea for the kids tomorrow as I'm going to a friend's house and she is making tea for me - yay!

willhazboz · 05/05/2016 21:28

Evening!

I did everything and managed to clean the bathroom and washed and dried a load.

Dh made tea and cleared up though so can't take all the credit!

Tomorrow I have the midwife coming in the morning and will probably be visiting our parents so will just be doing the very basics!

Loving this weather. Went to the park today and dd1 ran herself ragged!

Thingywhatsit · 07/05/2016 10:02

Can I please join in? I have just moved house and think I might need this thread to keep on top of it!

This morning I have -
Made the beds
Washed the kitchen and dining room floors (by hand as I don't have a mop yet)
Put washing out on new wirly gig ( it's a bit wonky but I put it in myself!)
No dishwasher so put away dishes from last night and washed a few bits from breakfast.
Entertained 2 yr old - ds13 not out of his pit yet

Still to do
Go an source a extra long shower curtain (mine is too short so can't shower ATM only bath!)
Sort out 2yr olds toys
Rearrange ds's few bits of bedroom furniture as he wants it moved
Put 2nd coat of paint on up cycled kitchen table/chairs
Sort out paperwork (loads)
Find a home for all the bits on my kitchen worktops
Sort out lounge so I have space for new sofas tomorrow that I have to pick up....

Hi Thingy I don't where everyone has been on here this week. Been a quiet week. My excuse is that the weather has been lush here and i tend get super lazy with the chores when the sun comes out. I've got nothing planned today however so am going to blitz the house today, weather permitting...

To do:
strip beds and put on wash
put new bedding on
do another load of washing
hoover through the house
dust and polish the lounge
clean the bathroom and downstairs loo

Still in my pj's at the moment though Blush

Afreshstartplease · 08/05/2016 08:34

Sunshine usually motivates me! When's it's cold and grey I want to curl up in a ball!

I don't get on the thread much during the week as I achieve so little housework wise on days I have work

Maybe I should push myself to come and atleast read the thread and I might get motivated!

OP posts:
celeste83 · 08/05/2016 08:42

We should come to a deal Fresh, i come do your chores on a gloomy day and you come do mine on a sunny day Grin

Afreshstartplease · 08/05/2016 08:46

Given the weather in my country I think that would work highly in my favor lol!

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 08/05/2016 08:47

This country not my country lol I don't think I own the country

OP posts:
celeste83 · 08/05/2016 08:51

Afreshstartplease · 08/05/2016 08:56

OP posts:
Kim82 · 08/05/2016 08:57

Morning everyone and welcome to the thread thingy. I've been keeping on top of things but have spent most of the time outside as its been so sunny. I'm the same as Fresh in that sunny weather makes me want to clean - I think it's because the bright sun shows up dust and dirt more!

So, today's list is:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • washing
  • sweep floors downstairs
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, stairs and landing
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • iron uniforms
  • go to Costco for bottled water
  • go to Sainsburys for almond milk
  • bathe toddler
  • make sure older kids do homework
celeste83 · 08/05/2016 09:02

If we were living in Western Australia Fresh then the deal would be very much on!

Ok i have stripped the beds and put on the washing machine. Now to have a shower and get changed!

skivvywoman · 08/05/2016 09:28

Good morning everyone

I've been a bit awol this week too!

I'm not long up but my plan for this morning is

Shower
Make bed tidy room (all kids stayed out with friends last night so there rooms are fine)
Put last nights dishes away wipe kitchen down
Wipe bathroom down
Write shopping list
Pick dd up then go shopping

Then bring in yesterday's washing which is probably soaked as the weathers awful here!
Hang up work clothes I washed last night
Get organised for tomorrow as we're going out this afternoon

Kim82 · 08/05/2016 20:08

Evening everyone. It's been gorgeous here today and we've spent most of the day in the garden so I didn't manage all of my list.

  • tidy beds done
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen done
  • washing did two loads
  • sweep floors downstairs done
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, stairs and landing hoovered stairs
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom cleaned, not mopped
  • iron uniforms
  • go to Costco for bottled water picked some up from sainsburys
  • go to Sainsburys for almond milk done
  • bathe toddler done
  • make sure older kids do homework done

I'm far too hot to be bothered doing anything else now, just need to get the kids in bed then I can sit and watch tv.

willhazboz · 08/05/2016 20:09

Evening everyone! Welcome thingy!

My excuse is a newborn and a toddler!
Been out and about most of the day-park and then for lunch at my parents.
Can I class bath time and feeds as cleaning? If so I'm doing tons!!
Just about keeping on top of tidying toys away and washing dishes and clothes.
I'm hoping to get a bit more done in the next week.
Tomorrow dh has to go into work (despite him being in paternity Angry) so I am flapping about getting everyone ready on my own. Guess it will be good practice!
So breakfast dishes and bottles to wash and sterilise
Wipe kitchen down
Empty dishwasher
I have the midwife coming at some point so could do with not seeming a complete wreck! Wish me luck!

celeste83 · 09/05/2016 07:37

Morning all.

You definitely have an excuse willhazboz Sounds like you're doing great.

I had another lazy day yesterday unfortunately. It was another lovely day here yesterday. We ended up going to the park and then went to the local pub in the afternoon and took advantage of their beer garden Blush I did manage to strip and change the beds, do a couple washing loads, polish and dust the lounge, and bleach the downstairs loo but that was it really.

Today I need to:
wash dishes
make the beds
clean bathroom
clean downstairs loo
hoover
tidy ds room
ironing

Kim82 · 09/05/2016 08:09

Morning all. It's looking to be another gorgeous day here today so I'm not sure how much housework will be done but what I aim to do is:

  • tidy beds
  • Hoover bedrooms and landing
  • mop upstairs bathroom
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • buy a padlock for the back gate
  • take garden chairs back to sister's house
  • take something out of the freezer for tea
  • washing
  • put away washing from yesterday
  • buy yet more bottled water, there's only 2 bottles left from the 12 we bought yesterday.
celeste83 · 09/05/2016 13:57

Its a proper gloomy day here today Kim and by coincidence I have been hitting the chores this morning like a mad possesed woman.

I have:
*washed the dishes
*made the beds
*cleaned the bathroom (cleaned the bath, cleaned the tiles, cleaned the basin, cleaned the loo, bleached the loo, mopped the floor)
*cleaned downstairs loo (cleaned loo, bleached the loo, cleaned the basin, mopped the floor)
*hoovered upstairs
*tidied ds room

Need to:
*hoover downstairs
*general tidy up
*make tea
*ironing

skivvywoman · 09/05/2016 14:08

This morning before work I

Tidy rooms
Dust and Hoover
Wipe kitchen and bathroom down
Need to go to bank and dd dancing after schools out

Willz sounds like your doing fabby

willhazboz · 09/05/2016 22:48

Evening ladies! Another lovely day here.

Was up at 5 with dd2 but dd1 has decided that sleep is for wimps and woke up at 6. Shock so my day started at 5.
I managed to do dishes and dishwasher. Couple of loads of washing
Wipe kitchen down.
Put shop away, though still need to freeze meat etc.
I got the duster out to do the living room and dd2 picked it up and dusted the tv stand! She didn't do a bad job!

Sooo tired.

Tomorrow dh is taking dd1 to soft play so it'll just be me and the baby in the morning so I'm hoping to get a few bits done. Everything needs doing so I'll just see what I manage!

Thingywhatsit · 10/05/2016 10:28

Thanks for the welcomes - Well I had a huge list of things to do yesterday as dd2 was Going to her dads and she is being a complete nightmare ATM. But her dad decided not to show up until 2.15 instead of 11 and didn't seem interested in taking her anywhere as it was raining so he stayed here to "look after her" cue me getting nothing done, me shouting at kids as teenager was being rather challenging and I was fed up of his insults towards me and my hormones were raging so was not a good day!

Today is not too bad list today :
Beds - done
Tidying lounge in case carpet people miracously turn up and decide to give me my carpet that should have been put in 10 days ago - very doubtful j will have it this week though! I thinks- HALF DONE
Been and collected washing from bedrooms, it's all by washing machine - will sort it later and put it on at bedtime with electricity is cheap!
Go to my mums and collect some more of our stuff and sort it and put it away
Go to local town and sort out getting btoadband
Hopefully go to a playgroup just down the road from my new house this afternoon if I am feeling brave enough- will mean dd won't cause chaos and mess at home... So less tidying!!!

skivvywoman · 10/05/2016 14:43

Afternoon ladies just finished work and can't be bothered moving!! But needs must and all that Hmm

This morning I
Put a washing on
Made beds

Now I'm going to

Do dishes
Wipe down kitchen
Wipe bathroom and bleach loo
Fold dry washing
Put away underwear that's been in tumble dryer since yesterday!
Quick dust

Afreshstartplease · 10/05/2016 15:42
