New cleaning thread

Christmas decorations are down here.

Yesterday deep cleaned living room, today will do the kitchen

Second list done. Just enough time to pop to the shop to get some change for the car park before I pick Ds up.

My list for when I get back is:

• put toddler down for a nap
• more washing
• fold and put away dry washing
• dust and polish living room
• mop throughout downstairs
• wipe over downstairs bathroom

I can then sit until the toddler wakes up - horay!

Todays to do list:

make beds done
wash dishes done
wipe kitchen done
wipe bathroom + bleach loo done
bleach downstairs loo done
tidy ds room done
hoover lounge
hoover kitchen
general tidy up
ironing
food shop this evening

Well, I've done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. Also hung out another washing.

Walked along to the shops to get money out for driving lesson...

After wiping the bathroom I plan on sticking a film on while dd sleeps. Nice, relaxing afternoon ahead.

Given my sister a lift to midwife and took her halfway to work to minimise her bus journey.
Made beds and tidied bedrooms
Had my shower and got ready etc.
Put wash in and now in dryer
Been to shops and got dd a summer jacket.
Just made dd lunch and then she will go for a nap and I'll drop her off at mil while I go to midwife. Hoping to come back and :
clean bathroom
Put clean washing away
Dust bedrooms
Sort scarves and gloves

Maybe indulge in a as well!
Everyone seems to be ultra productive today except me

What film you watching Kim?

Been the midwife and just got back and cleaned bathroom.
Just having my long awaited brew and then I will dust and put away washing and hopefully have time to do a bit more decluttering. Dh has just emptied his shed out to sort it all and its started pouring down - bless him!

We watched Allegiant celeste. It was okay but not as good as the first two films in the series.

Dd had perfect timing and woke just as it went off so we went for a mooch round b&m to get her out the house and spent £30 on pure crap!

I'm just about to fold and put away another load of washing now then the last lot can go into the dryer. I actually have an empty washing basket after the four loads I've done today, it's a miracle!

My list for tonight is:

• make tea
• clean up kitchen
• feed cats
• fold and put away last load of washing
• tidy toddler's toys in living room
• wipe over downstairs bathroom (I was lazy and didn't do it earlier - I sat down and didn't want to get back up)

I think that's all I have left to do thankfully.

I put the washing away and dusted the bedrooms. And emptied dishwasher. Went back through my scarves and handbags etc and got rid of another bag of stuff to clothes recycling. Also went through some kitchen cupboards and sent all the chipped plates and horrendous baking trays to kitchen heaven.
This evening I just need to:
Make tea
Do hand washing
Do online shop for delivery

I've had a crap day was out yesterday got very very drunk and had to go to work with a hangover came home and all I done was put a washing on and fill the sink!
Took dd to dance and came home and had tea

Urgh, working with a hangover is awful skivvy, you have my sympathy!

I've done my jobs for tonight, tomorrow's list is:

• go to Aldi
• pick up dd's milk from chemist

I can't think of anything else that needs doing but I'll probably add to the list tomorrow. For now, it's time to watch the soaps.

I'm hoping when dh gets home I will have time to play with my new Vacuum cleaner. But we are going out for tea so might be a bit pushed!
Sunny day here so far!

And on the plus side my mum came round the other day and kept banging on about how bright and clean the house looks. It's never been a shit hole but I've never had the time or motivation to get fully on top of things before. Ie the bathroom would be clean but the floors would need doing and vice versa. And I've always been of the mind of 'oh dh is painting the dining room so I might as well not clean at all!' This thread really helps me feel accountable for the jobs I list!

We've all been there Skivvy you were up bright and early this morning however.

Can't beat the Mum's seal of approval Willhazboz, maybe the MIL seal of approval is the ultimate accolade lol.

I'm going to be concentrating on laundry today, ironing to be specific. Hate ironing so much but got a big pile from the weekends washing that needs doing. Its currently hogging the lounge floor making the room look untidy. How does everyone else do the laundry? Do chuck it all in the washing machine all in one day and then hit it in one go, or do lil bits everyday?

I do at least one load of laundry per day, some days I do more (I did 4 yesterday) to get rid of it all. There's always hoards of dirty washing with 6 of us in the house though. I don't iron, I just fold and put them away when dry. I'll iron school uniforms and outfits for parties/special occasions but just day to day stuff doesn't get ironed - I'd be at it for hours every day if I ironed everything!

Ah my mil is not bothered at all! Our house could look like a bombs hit it and she wouldn't notice. My mums house on the other hand looks like a show home (I don't take after her!)
Laundry I tend to do a load every couple of days/ every day. And put away as soon as I can be arsed. But I also don't iron. Thankfully dh uniform doesn't need ironing unless he has to wear his parade stuff. And I just only buy things that won't need ironing. Just going out things occasionally.
I've put the shopping away but haven't put a wash on as I'm going out. Dishwasher is not quite full yet so haven't put it on yet.

I'm similar to Kim with laundry

Atleast one load a day but up to five some days. Only ironing school polos and a denim shirt dress of dds atm, everything else we wear can do without ironing

I did manage to hoover the living room
Put away the shopping
And I'm now on load 3 in the dryer and load 4 in the washing machine

When I come home from work
Going to
Bleach bathroom DONE
Clean fish tank (poor things can't see out) DONE
Give house a good Hoover DONE
Do a clear out of shoes there everywhere DONE

Mop will do after tea
Also done a white washing and hung up and tumble dried underwear

I always done at least 2 washing a a day now I'm done to 1 since ds1 moved but can be more when beds are due to be changed

Evening everyone. I didn't do anything on my list apart from tidy the beds, make tea and clean the kitchen after. Fil woke up this morning and couldn't move as he was in agony. Turned out he has slipped a disc in his back but it meant the day was spent there helping until the doctor could get out to him. Therefore, tomorrow's list is:

• tidy beds
• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
• sweep floors downstairs
• clean out fridge
• write shopping list
• go to Aldi
• pick up dd's milk from chemist
• washing
• fold and put away clean washing
• Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs

I have my scan this afternoon to see if this baby is breech so that could take a while!

I currently have a very grumpy little girl who is refusing her breakfast, refusing to not have breakfast and wants to hold my hand and occasionally spoon some weetabix into her mouth. So it may be a long morning!

Oh Kim your poor FIL must be in agony!!

I'm just in from work got away early as my wee dog got into a fight last night and came off second best! He was in vets last night being stitched up

Done my washing etc. Just making tea and then will clear up (we will eat after dd has gone to bed)

Baby is head down! But they noticed a sack of fluid that looks like a cyst next to the baby's stomach. So have to discuss that with the consultant on Friday.
