What does LTB stand for? I'm crap with acronyms lol

Stripped beds and put in the washing machine and sorted through the linen baskets and got next washed lined up.

donyourway · 26/07/2015 09:41

That does sound like mission impossible strawberryshoes especially mopping floors whilst trying to entertain little ones. You entertaining them all by yourself?

strawberryshoes · 26/07/2015 10:51

I was Don, but DH got back early and I had him shut in the (hoovered!) living room with the little ones while I did the floors at lightning speed. I have also employed him to do the stairs and tidy the toy room with the (cough) help (cough) of the little ones. I appreciate I might need to do it again shortly after.

New list
do the washing (3 loads)
do the ironing
put the clean clothes away
clean the utility room
pop into town

Seems more doable now

afreshstartplease · 26/07/2015 12:04

Ltb - leave the bastard

I'm just back from shopping so going to crack on after lunch

So far I've steamed the kitchen, stripped beds, hoovered upstairs and downstairs, put a wash on and bleached the loo. Just about to dive in the shower. Will clean it whilst I'm in it.

donyourway · 26/07/2015 12:38

lol more like kick him out afreshstart

Ok i've now put bedding in tumble drier, put second load of washing on. Polished and dusted the lounge. Emptied the bins. Need to hit the ironing pile this afternoon before it gets added to when my second load of washing is done! Also need to make the beds.

RIP to the germs in your loo ohbollocksandballs I'm without bleach today.

afreshstartplease · 26/07/2015 13:01

Lunch is done

Dc are just finishing up now

Washing off line is now inside on radiators

Second load is in dryer

About to strip remaining beds for next wash load

Well my house is that fucking awful this weekend I think I'll have to start today instead of tomorrow

Anyone else?

OP posts:
SeasideSunshine · 01/08/2015 09:02

Mine. I've been ill all week, so things have fallen apart. Just awful.

New to this thread, but really need the push!

afreshstartplease · 01/08/2015 09:05

Welcome seaside!

So far I've put away the shopping delivery and washed most of the pots, put a load in the washer and folded two loads that were dry

SeasideSunshine · 01/08/2015 10:16

I've been trying to get paperwork done first, and trying to sort out someone to do some electrical work done - so emailed a few people regarding quotes.

Washing up done, but now need to put laundry in (my washer is loud, so I don't like to run it too early in case it bothers neighbours Blush). I've got a couple DIY jobs I want to get started on this week, but have to go to B&Q to get supplies. I keep thinking it might be easier to just order it, click and collect, rather than wasting time perusing the store. Hmm I could get more done at home that way.

Edenviolet · 01/08/2015 10:27

I'm feeling overwhelmed by the tasks ahead of me this weekend...

Have to pack for holiday on Monday but the house is a tip and not everything is clean so I need to tidy up and do at least two loads of washing.
Dcs are being troublesome this morn and two youngest keep fighting and I'm not even dressed yet.

Don't know where to start ! I'm so overwhelmed and just want a cup of tea !

RavioliOnToast · 01/08/2015 10:31

can i join? Grin

so far today I've ironed everything! I had about 4 loads to iron and they're all done, bar 3 of my dresses but dd2 needed a bottle. I've washed dhs work tops and scrubbed a makeup bag out.

I'm going to clean the bathroom and the kitchen and get us all ready before we go shopping this afternoon Grin

RavioliOnToast · 01/08/2015 10:36

I've found to help me with the washing and ironing I've done a 'rota' type thing for above the washing machine. it goes like:

M-
wash lights (mainly dd2 clothes)
wash dd1 stuff (has eczema so wash separate in non bio)

T-
wash darks

W-
iron dd1 and dd2 clothes
wash towels (on boil wash to clean inside of machine)

T-
iron mine and dhs clothes

F-
wash school uniforms and dh uniform

S-
bedding
wash dh work hoody and last work top

S-
iron all uniforms

it really helps as the way I'm looking at it is if it ain't on the list today, it ain't getting done. but these are all little manageable steps Grin

afreshstartplease · 01/08/2015 13:54

Well I have returned from running all the weekends errands so that's it now, no excuse not to sort the house out

Just need to decide where to start Confused

OP posts:
afreshstartplease · 01/08/2015 18:59

How did you all get on?

I tidied mine and dds bedroom, older dc tidied their own (kind of)

Hoovered all of upstairs and did lots of washing

OP posts:
SeasideSunshine · 01/08/2015 20:49

I've gotten a fair bit done, but got sidetracked by a phone call from an old friend. Grin

The dcs are finally in bed now, so I'm going to do a little more this evening before settling down with a book for an hour or so.

afreshstartplease · 01/08/2015 21:03

That's good seaside!

Will you be joining me tomorrow ?

I still have so much to do

Going to have a five minute run around then jump in bed

Sooooo need an early night

OP posts:
SeasideSunshine · 01/08/2015 21:14

We're going out over lunch tomorrow - one of the main reasons I needed to get a lot done today. At least the laundry is done and the kitchen has been cleaned. But yes, I will be cleaning tomorrow, definitely.

I swear I could hoover the living room twice a day and it'd still be a mess. Hmm

MrsHathaway · 02/08/2015 09:42

Pity me.

We're just back from a week of camping. I went to the launderette twice and I still have fifty million things to wash. Also need to do a full supermarket shop and re pitch the tent which was struck in drizzle.

afreshstartplease · 02/08/2015 10:36

Well I am off to a very very slow start Sad up for three hours and done nothing

OP posts:
donyourway · 02/08/2015 10:40

Same here. Glad i'm not the only one!

afreshstartplease · 02/08/2015 10:41

Well I am going to hoover the landing and then make a brew!
