A new thread for a new week...

OP posts:
singersgirl · 21/09/2006 09:32

Haven't had time to read the thread, but popping in to say I am still here. I'm going away early tomorrow until Tuesday so hope DH keeps flying.

DS2 (just 5), who was dry all summer, has started wetting the bed every other night, so we have been up changing beds. It also plays havoc with my laundry, as I've got duvet, pillow and sheeets etc to wash.

FlameSparrow · 21/09/2006 10:09

I've come back from school much more bouncy (had coffee first thing which I never do)... DD got herself completely dressed by herself, and we had a stress free school run.

Come back, washing on line, nappies in machine, and kitchen FLYed... done all I can down here (obv not inc the diningroom ), and can't do upstairs til DS wakes.

Much more positive!

BarefootJasnem · 21/09/2006 10:20

Morning, won't be around much, as dp has taken the day off. Kitchen is done, washing basket is empty.
I did the whole bedroom the other day, so all missions so far are covered, but I have a wardrobe full of stuff (all my clothes including stuff I never wear, fils best suit, a banjo, ds xmas present, 1000 national Geographic magazines, and a shopping trolley full of hats and coats). I daren't pull it out as it will take me a whole day to clear and put back, an d it will mess up my bedroom.

I'm going to cook, and hotspot the dining room, instead.

My knicker drawer is now sporting a charming set of dividers made from a random old cardboard box and I have realised 99% of my knickers are black too! Maybe 5 pairs or so that are pink/maroon and a couple of old, greying, white 'period pants' . No matching sets to be seen...I don't even own a black bra at the moment! (women with such tiny boobs as me don't need black underwear apparently!! just white, with little bows and lambs skipping across them!!)

Will sort bedside tables later. Sink shiny. Washing went in last night, now drying on line.
I'm only just managing to FLY at the moment, dh an dds recovering from being ill and I'm just starting to get it now . Must go and make the bed, then I'll feel better.

asleep · 21/09/2006 10:28

morning!

just got back from dropping DD off at school and nipped into tesco for some bread. now going to FLY the downstairs. might actually get some work done today as DS is in a particularly good mood!

FlameSparrow · 21/09/2006 10:47

Why do we have white period pants??? Doesn't it make more sense to have em black so they don't get stained??? (I have white ones too ).

I have mainly white knickers for some reason. I had a few grey pairs (bought grey) but they have disappeared without a trace . Very few matching sets, my bras cost so much I can't afford the knickers to go with

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 11:11

Morning.. I dont narmamly pop in this time of day. I feeling a bit low as SS been here this am and they have p*ed me off!

Q Does your voice sound the same of the phone as it does in real?

I have done all my bedroom as I was in a moody yeasterday and just went to town on it. The bits you cant get done when your in a bad mood and take it out on cleaning. lol

I dont have time of the month pants. I have 3 pairs of gym slips. I feel much more save with them as I get very heavy. I have most colours in undies but not black.

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 11:15

singersgirl I hope you have a good weekend.

Will DH do all the cleaning the day before you get back

"Oh no, look at the mess and mum is home tomorrow" lol

JessaJam · 21/09/2006 11:16

at this thread turning into a knicker audit!!!!

Quootiepie · 21/09/2006 11:17

morning! felt demotivated earlier, but broke the morning routine up and have made my bed, showered, cleaned the bathroom, swished the loo and got dressed DS is feeding now - but ill keep going after that!

Quootiepie · 21/09/2006 11:20

knickers! I have BIG white ones, and some assorted colours aswell - were "period pants" but since giving birth they have become full timers!

JessaJam · 21/09/2006 11:22

yep...my thongy ones were consigned to the back of the drawer for a long time after having ds...just starting to wear them again now...used to find them more comfy than 'normal' ones, but not any more!

SKYTVADICT · 21/09/2006 11:24

Hi, I'm feeling completely crap at all this and not coping at all well.

Think I will bow out for a bit and then try again with babysteps.

8 weeks pregnant with morning sickness and feeling knackered all the time isn't helping. I can't even keep up with the thread!

Good luck to you all - might be back soon x

FlameSparrow · 21/09/2006 11:26

HN.. no - posh phone voice!

Beccarolloveragain · 21/09/2006 11:32

SKYTV, why dont you stick around? when your feeling crap often your flyfriends can pull you round and make you feel better!

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 11:35

SKYTVADICT I had morning sickness with DD from 7 weeks. I know how you feel. I cound not eat or drink anything without being sick. Food and drink was very limited. Bottled water, toast with butter. Dinner was just mash potato with salad cream.

You wont feel like doing very much with sickness all the time. Hope you feel better soon.

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 11:40

Flame

I just wanted to know as xp1 phoned on last week to say he could not have to DSs as he was working. Now hes told SS that I stopped him from having them. SS came out today and I got her the hear his message. She said it was not him as it did not sound like him. There is no number so I cant show that to her

SusiS · 21/09/2006 11:40

morning!
can you relate to the 'don't-think-i've-slept-well' malarchi!! for once the kids didn't get me up once and i just couldnt' get comfy

on a better note ds will be off to nursery soon and dp is working on days today (he's got a course) so i've got upstairs free to roam about
i've done our bed, we are all dressed (i've even put the kids and my clothes out yday evening ) -

i do find it getting easier. i am not so far behind with washing now, and since i try to put it away straight away that helps tons!!
also doing the dishwasher straight away helps alot. i actually can put the dirty dishes inside without it cluttering up everything

oh well, took me a few hours to write this. ds 'interefered' but is in nursery now; done a bit of shopping and i am finally back home 'pheww' - great weather for a change!!!!

singersgirl · 21/09/2006 11:59

On the knicker audit, I just threw out about 10 pairs of pants with holes in. Why am I even wearing pants with holes in? What a slob. Bought some nice new ones from M&S - those boy-cut ones.

Hazelnut, thanks - I'm sure I'll have a relaxing time. Hope you sort our your SS trouble.

lol at jessajam wearing little bras! Most of mine are glorified vests really!

No flying yet for me, but i am about to put the washing on the line. My bedroom is lovely and clean so i treated myself to a new basket to put the now small ironing pile in.

SkyTv - why don't you just pop in and say hi occasionally? we promise not to shout if your sink is dirty!

hazelnuts · 21/09/2006 12:32

singersgirl. Are the "new ones" for the weekend away? Only joking!!

SS has been going on for over 2 years and I dont see an end to it yet. xp1 is making sure of that Its seems to have now gone to "you wont let me see my kids" I am sure its not going to do the DSs any good. Dunno what it will do to DD. I just wish it would all stop.

FlameSparrow · 21/09/2006 12:34

I'd kill for little bras half the time

SKYTV - agree with the others, just keep coming and playing with us

about SS and the message.

Quootiepie · 21/09/2006 12:38

SKYTV...ive been getting lost and stopping etc., only fully getting back into it today. Ive only done bits and bobs... and cant keep up with the thread, but am waffling on anyway!

JessaJam · 21/09/2006 12:38

Flame - I'd kill for little bra's too! (they are really hard to find in my pathetic size!!).

Bed is made.
MUST do some ironing tonight or dining room will vanish under a pile of clothes again! Was supose dto be doing 15 mins a night, but have slipped due to everyone being ill and me being knackered...oh well, will tackle some tonight [resigned smile]
