Morning Flyers.

Forgot to add my stats.

Me 31
DH 33
DD 4.5
DS 11.5 months

We live in the West Midlands.

DS was awake at 4.30 got him settled for about 5 and managed to doze off again till 10 mins ago.

Off to feed my tribe and get on with morning routine.

BarefootJasnem · 12/09/2006 07:08

I've been up more times than I want to count in the night with poorly baby.
I can't see me getting much done today.
And my last load of washing which was probably dry on the line when I went to bed last night is now wetter than when I hung it out, as it has been raining all night.

trinityshiftingherleatheryarse · 12/09/2006 07:23

poor you barefoot, hope baby feels better soon.

Morning ladies.

Sorry to hear about poorly and teething babies again

Ds didn't seem very well yesterday. Red tired eyes all day, lots of sleeping.Despite that though he slept through from 11pm-6.30amfor the 2nd night running. Hurray

Right, off to check out what needs doing today.

tamsino · 12/09/2006 07:56

Morning all.

DD was up at 6 today and then went and weed in the nursery so methinks she has issues with bump. Grrr.

Just seen today's mission which is easy peasy if you clean your bathroom every now and again. Like this week as bathrooms are the one area I keep on top of.

Any tips on getting limescale out of the loo would be gratefully received though!

BarefootJasnem · 12/09/2006 08:16

yes, todays mission assumes you have surfaces in your bathroom! I cleared and cleaned the windowsill yesterday, when I cleaned in there, so I'm ahead of the game.

Limescale. I get rid of all the water and use chemicals, I'm afraid. If you live in a hard water area like me, it has to be done weekly. I've also been known to chip it off with a knife when its really bad, but wouldn't recommend this as it will damage the toilet bowl!

tamsino · 12/09/2006 08:22

lol. that's a good point about the surfaces!

I'm funny about the bathroom so have hardly anything in mine which is why its easy. Shame the same cant be said about the rest of the house but at least it means I will hopefully have a good FLY week while DD is being a pain....

singersgirl · 12/09/2006 08:32

My bathroom is so small there aren't any surfaces (apart from the bath and toilet). I use Harpic on limescale and a toothbrush to get at the bits round the rim. Yuck.

mummyhill · 12/09/2006 08:37

Look for KABOOM in the supermarkets (purple container with a lime green lid I think). You put a capfull down close the lid and leave for about an hour when you go back flush and give it a swish with the bog brush and it looks great. This stuff foams up in the toilet and leaves it all sparkly..

mummyhill · 12/09/2006 08:38

Ohh and I(have used it in the bath before now as well to get rid of the tidemark.

sorkycake · 12/09/2006 08:41

Can I be really cheeky ( and lazy lol) and ask whoever posts in the morning, if you know the mission, could they quickly jot it in their post.
I don't seem to be getting most of the emails anymore, never the missions, so this would be really useful.
The FL site takes ages to navigate, to figure out what you're meant to be doing, or is that just me?
I have fixed my pushchair this morning!

Skribble has posted about the need for a routine, anyone fancy bringing her over to
the dark side

DontlookatmeImshy · 12/09/2006 08:44

I used Viakal down our toilet (got rid of the water first) and got the spray to do the sink/tapsetc.

Then we got a water softener (the water is so hard here it only has to look at a tap to scale it up)and it's great. All I have to do now is rub everything with a cloth and it's allshiny and new.

Quootiepie · 12/09/2006 08:44

I guess by bathroom surfaces they also mean shelves, top end of bath etc. Thats what im going to do anyway Weird FLYing again, my bathroom is still clean from when I left it about a month ago

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2006 08:56

Sure - and I'll tell you what - at the start of the next thread, I'll put a link to the missions page at the beginning, that way we can just click each day (stopped my emails).

Tuesday's Mission!

Dear Friends,

We are headed into the bathroom this week. Let's grab some general purpose cleaner and shine those counter tops and shine our bathroom sinks! Clear everything off the counter top and wipe them from side to side and top to bottom. Then use a little elbow grease and scrub your sink, then spritz the counter top and sink with a little Windex to make it shine.

Have fun with this and don't obsess, this should take less then 15 minutes and you will love the results!

Love,
Kelly

Right... now I am confused - Amanda/Android/Marvin - which name would I know you by?!?!?! (Quite likin Marvin )... The 50% likely not is a good percentage.

Tort n Hazelnuts - you've been having bloody cr*ppy times!!!

Jas for poorly baby!

Now, I want a word with you people - which one of you germ infested FLYbabies sneezed all over your monitor???? I'm poorly now too, with 2 poorly children (but oodles of milk now ).

Dunno how much I'll get done today Didn't even managed the dishes last night ( from Cod )

mummy2ashton · 12/09/2006 09:07

morning fly ladies! cleaning sink and counter tops today - they don't need much cleaning here since i done it last month!

xxx

sorkycake · 12/09/2006 09:07

LURGY ALERT! LURGY ALERT!

Cheers for that Flame, I wish I had surfaces in my bathroom

This is a lovely FL team we have here isn't it? Nice and supportive

Sounds like you lot who started last month will be reaping the rewards this month eh? Proof the insanity works I'd say!

Well better shift the cakeybump or nothing will get done, see ya later

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2006 09:16

mummy2ashton · 12/09/2006 09:36

puff · 12/09/2006 09:37

must sign up for the emails

damewashalot · 12/09/2006 09:41

Morning, hope all poorly children are getting better, I'm full of cold too this morning must have caught it on here!

ParanoidAndroid · 12/09/2006 09:52

Flame - Marvin is just fine!!

I'm feeling decidedly out of sorts this morning. Dear DH, on being told the news, did his usual thing of stomping around asking how much more he has to cope with etc. Not a hug, or a kind word, just a big babyish strop. TBH, I'm not particularly surprised, he was like this with my depression and with the cancer. I understand how he feels but wish that just ONCE, he would surprise me and do the right thing. Our marriage has been decidedly rocky over the past few years (we've been married for 18 years) and this morning I feel like chucking it in and going to look for a man who will be nice to me.

But hey, I guess I'll go and scrub the bathroom, kick the cat (not literally girls, calm down) do some deep breathing, go for a ride, and I'll feel better. It certainly added an edge to our morning walk to school - what normally takes about 30 mins with children dawdling along the way, took 20 mins with me frog-marching them along!! Poor things looked totally knackered by the time we got there.

Anyway sorry for the rant - I don't want to hijack the post either! I'll catch up with you all later.

mummyhill · 12/09/2006 09:55

For a short time only us

shazronnie · 12/09/2006 09:55
