Hi everyone,

I have a clean sink, have swished and swiped my bathroom, done kelly's mission, done 10 mins of hoovering and also my paper to do pile. Cant believe how organised I fell. That all took about 30 mins of effort across the whole day, and I've only been going 10 days.

No more though as DD is poorly and needs lots of cuddles.

Good luck to the rest of you :-)

tamsino · 11/09/2006 15:12

Just to add my stats
Me - 31
DH - 32
DD - 2.5
Bump - 27 weeks

mummy2ashton · 11/09/2006 15:14

sorry your dd is ill! hope she feels better soon!

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 11/09/2006 15:34

Keep up the good work girls, I'm living vicariously through your efforts because I can't be bothered (in my pigsty )
Looking at your pictures the one thing that shouts out to me is that you all need more shelves and wallcupboards! Cupboards to hide stuff or shelves to keep the worktops clear if cupboards are too tricky.
And of course that's a job for DPs since you're doing all this work yourselves so don't take any crap from them until it's done. We can't possibly achieve optimum tidiness with all those bottles/personal items lying around.

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2006 15:37

Our walls are a nightmare - either too hard and nothing goes in, or they crumble

JessaJam · 11/09/2006 15:43

Flamey - same with our walls too! Old plaster. And don't want to spoil newly plastered walls with dodgy drilling and pluggythings!!

SKYTVADICT · 11/09/2006 15:46

We have hollow walls as its quite a new house. Bloody nightmare!!

hazelnuts · 11/09/2006 16:07

Chloe55 · 11/09/2006 16:09

I have done my home blessing today and bleached the bathroom and taken ds out to an activity centre for a couple of hours today - feeling all pleased with myself

mummyhill · 11/09/2006 16:11

arghh no flying here and no chance to catch up on all the thread will read it after work at about midnight tonight I think. Must go DS is screaming the house down again.

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2006 16:20

Did the mission, but sod all else - I need to hoover. BOTH children are now poorly, and we are milkless

mummy2ashton · 11/09/2006 16:23

just updating, done the weekly blessing apart from hoovering, my hoover bag needs changing and i don't know how to do it! so will have to wait till dp comes home as he'll know!
also sorted out laundry, 5 minute room rescue on living room, 5 minutes decluttering bathroom, kellys mission for today (chucking out empty bottles etc), put out hotspots, took less than a minute as i've been doing it every day so far, erm.... what else.... made some phone calls that needed making to tax credits people.

now off to make the dinner and set the table all ready for dp coming home. this evening im gonna whiz round the house with the hoover and also sweep and mop kitchen floor as it needs done again after ds attacking the floor with readybrek and crushing biscuits into it over the weekend!

phew! then shine my sink and go to bed!

hazelnuts · 11/09/2006 16:32

Sorry you have poorly DC now. My DD is very poorly She is full of cold and is being sick with it too. Hope you little ones are better soon.

I forgot to say where I live

Its between Bath and Bristol.

Going to do an early dinner for DSs now. Not up to cooking much though.

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 11/09/2006 16:36

Just wanted to add that since my last post I have cleaned the kitchen windows inside and out for the first time ever. No other cleaning done/planned today although that was surprisingly easy.
Flamesparrow was it you with the red gingham kitchen? Whoever it was inspired me and I've now made red gingham frilly pelmets (still waiting for dh to put them up) so thought I ought to clean the windows if I'm going to draw people's attention to them.

puff · 11/09/2006 16:38

ok, well I did the sink polishing (baby step), then had a go at the bathroom zone and filled 2 bin bags with stuff I don't use from the bathroom cupboard (it's big - it used to be an airing cupboard). Then I did a 15 min declutter in the kitchen later on.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 11/09/2006 17:34

Bucketsofdinosaurs I would love more shelves/cupboards but i'd have to try and do it myself!
Hazelnuts your in my area.
I had problems with my xp1 for a while too.
Hope all the lttle poorly ones are feeling better soon.
Ive just come back from town and park.Started peeing down with rain halfway home so we got a little wet!
Can't believe how happy i feel today. No idea why!

hazelnuts · 11/09/2006 18:32

Dinner cooked , eaten and all washed up. DSS bathed and now ready for bed, they are just watching the tv now. DD is still asleep. I dunno if I should let her sleep or try and wake her up? When the DSS were in the bath I cleaned cleaned the sink, taps, tiles etc. Shining now
tortoise.. I see that you live in somerset I might move though, xp1 is really trying to get every1 to hate me round here

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 11/09/2006 18:48

Im in Castle Cary. What area would you move to? Im hoping to move once my court case for DS's is over.Im hoping they will be allowed home.

hazelnuts · 11/09/2006 19:35

I don't know where Castle Cary is. I have been to Yeovil a few times. I dunno where I want to move too TBH. anywhere but here xp2 left because of xp1. Dunno where he is. Just said sorry for not wanting to be with trouble. My best friend wont come round now as he tried to get her DH in trouble with my BSS. Now hes going round saying all sorts of things bad about me. I would love to just move without him finding me and DC. I just done the quick hoover round. DD is still asleep. Thought I would leave her sleeping. Gives me a chance to do a few things then, DSS are brill today. I could not ask them to be any better.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 11/09/2006 19:43

About 15 miles from yeovil!

Glad you are able to get on with bits while DD sleeps.Good for her to sleep it off.
Lovely when the older ones help out.
Must be a really tough situation for you.
Do you have msn messenger?

Chloe55 · 11/09/2006 19:44

Sorry to hear about both your los Flame

Also, forgot to say, I made a real effort to stick to my morning routine this am which included doing my hair and actually putting make-up on (I can normally only be bothered if I am on a night out). Anyway, met up with a friend who said I looked lovely and she commented how nice the house was looking. She said I was looking and doing really well

Chloe55 · 11/09/2006 19:46

Also sorry to hear you are having a shitty time due to your xp Hazlenut.

hazelnuts · 11/09/2006 20:22

tortoise... Not that far from Yeovil. I like going into Bath to shop. BSS are in bed now. Ds1 is still awake but wont be for long. They have been really great today. Dunno why as they are normaly running round shouting. Just watching Eastenders. I dont have MSN as yet. I was going to load it yesterday but they had problems. It kept saying "try later" It good innit? I`m new to all this computer stuff.

ParanoidAndroid · 11/09/2006 20:24

Hmmm, Castle Carey - one of my favouritest towns in the UK! Full of envy for you living there Tortoise! (BTW, it's Amanda here - I changed my nickname so I could moan without DH reading my posts!!)

I've had a bad day today - been told by the specialist that I have a 50/50 chance of having MS which ain't so good. Still after a large (and I mean LARGE) glass of wine, I'm looking on the positive side - it's a 50% chance that I don't have it - better odds than when I had breast cancer - so we're not too downbeaten here.

But having spent all morning rushing around doing horses, children, dogs etc, and then all afternoon at the hospital, I have done b*gger all. I came home to a shiny sink though which was great.

I'm signing off now. Got to get kids to bed, and then to finish the bottle.

hazelnuts · 11/09/2006 20:30

Chloe55........ Thanks. I thought it would all go away when xp2 left. He was the one that got all the blame. I just want... well I dunno what I want to do to xp1. Dunno if I should wake DD up?
