I was up at 4.30 this morning so did blessing then as quietly as I could, then went back to bed for an hour at 6.30. Stupid bladder! Once I'm up to the toilet I don't seem to be able to get back to sleep
Still it meant breakfast was relatively leisurely.
Back from playgroup now and having lunch before school run- tumbletots- school run- tumbletots, cook tea.
God, no the wonder I'm knackered!
Washing out and last load in! I have an empty basket .
Shazronnie you look nothing like I imagined, and strangely enough not like someone who had a messy house iykwim.
Tortoise you've got to be in Supermam mode to have sorted that storage area, my god woman, what an improvement.
Dame, tell him to do it his self or shut up. Works for my Dh, not that he dares open his mouth about the cleaning. He's one of those who always arrives just as you're finishing and says something like" oh, you should have said, I'd have given you a hand". Yet 20 minutes earlier he lifted his feet so I could mop the floor

shazronnie · 11/09/2006 12:11

My stats - me, 32, DH 34, 2 x DS age 3 and 19mths.
We live in Redditch.

Still got to mop and vac to finish blessing today, and all I've done re bathroom is put showerhead in didh of vinegar.

JessaJam · 11/09/2006 12:14

My DH is thankful for small mercies, such as being able to drain pasta in the sink without being faced with pile of grotty dishes peering up at him!

He seems to be resisting helping out, but is also managing to refrain from too many negative comments...maybe my tack of replying to every "the such and such is a mess" comment, with " well, do and tidy it then" has worked!

sorkycake · 11/09/2006 12:15

My stats:
me-32
dh-32
dd-4
ds-2.9
19 weeks pg.
Live in North east.

BarefootJasnem · 11/09/2006 12:15

tortiose, I'm impressed. That is a massive improvement.

shazronnie · 11/09/2006 12:15

Thanks.I did say i was more positive tody!
I have also sorted the bath toys again! And snuck a few more into the bin.

Have just moved the little plastic playhouse to the back garden as its safer for the girls out there.Didn't bother taking it apart Just carried it/flipped it round the sideway! They are happy and its keeping them out my way!

Sounds like im lucky to be single with all these lazy moaning men around!! LOL

damewashalot · 11/09/2006 12:33

Well I haven't done anything yet but ds2 is at school and was really happy so that's good, just about to feed baby/have my lunch then I wiil start thanks for all making me feel better, the first few posts I red nearly made me cry, isn't it great to get so much support from a bunch of women you've never met?

BarefootJasnem · 11/09/2006 12:41

I've still got nothing done in the bathroom, but have cooked tonights tea.
Going to try again with baby in bumbo as he's not too happy today(had lunch time bf at 10am, and there is no way hes going to last til tea time now.)

shazronnie · 11/09/2006 12:41

flybabies love each other very much

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 11/09/2006 12:43

Im feeling very bad!! I have just binned 3 bath sponge/wash mitt things of DD1's,DD2's and Ds2's! They never use them and just get chucked about the bathroom or put in bath and not used.
Have I done the right thing?? (I know they won't notice!)

BarefootJasnem · 11/09/2006 12:45

Definitely done the right thing.

SKYTVADICT · 11/09/2006 12:47

I chucked DD2s Josie Jump wash mit weeks and weeks ago - she only just noticed last week and I told her it had gone mouldy and couldn't be washed. You did the right thing Tortoise.

Knew you would say id done right! Thanks.

Bathroom sink now gleaming. And new towel holder put up(old one had broken ages ago!).

Lunch now, then go to town for a few bits.
Bit of MN time while i eat.

mummy2ashton · 11/09/2006 13:20

loving the pictures! tortoise, what an improvement of that cupboard space!!! im not brave enough to put pictures on yet!
shaz, love your pic too, its strange to put a face to the names on here, maybe we should all post pics of ourselves??

home from playgroup now, just put ds down for his nap, eating lunch while having some MN and MC (mums corner - my site) time.

will do home blessing when i've finished.

tip for those with dishes on the side (think i got this from flylady), buy a basin and set it under the sink if there is room, or beside the sink (like me) and put the dishes to be washed in that. i do that and it makes the place look tidier!

Ulysees · 11/09/2006 13:31

Afraid my sink will never be shiny as it's granite but I am inspired to tidy our bedroom. Kids room is ok and bathroom is the only room in the house that I keep immaculate as it's so lovely - to me anyway

mummy2ashton · 11/09/2006 13:35

forgot stats.

sarah, northern ireland, i'll be 23 on thursday, have a ds called ashton who is 19 months old, and a dp called gareth!

picture of me and dp (cos i don't know how to cut him out of the pic and i don't have any pics with just me) the uglys lol

samnbabes · 11/09/2006 13:36

Hey
I'm 34, dh 34 (35 this year NOT putting me in a good place...) ds 2 1/2, dd 6 month-ish, live in sunny, sunny surrey

Shaz - had you down as brunnette too. Sorry not be able to see your shoes in the piccie . And tortoise, you've given dd your cold too - keep your germs to yourself, woman!!

Have just scrubbed all the bath toys & got rid of that nasty black gungy stuff that builds up in the cracks. Trying not to think how much disgusting stuff came off - yuchity yack. My first homeblessing day today, but somehow can't see myself being awfully blessed....

trinityshiftingherleatheryarse · 11/09/2006 13:38

Stats: dh is 46, I'm 28, dd1 is 6 1/2, dd2 is 17 months, 5 months pregnant.
