Hi all, After a pretty rough ride last year (2012) I think I feel ready to start again with babysteps
So who's with me for the journey?

Old and new steppers are welcome!

Lets do this one small step at a time!

We didn't go to town so Library, pound shop, mailbox and Boots have been put off.

Scout19075 · 15/01/2013 17:00

arti, could you use the binders for control journals/lists? Like, weekly menu planning and then the lists of ingredients and cooking instructions behind each?

educatingarti · 15/01/2013 17:02

Scout I hope your grandmother is OK.

I can use a few of the binders for things like that scout, but probably not all 60! Grin

Scout19075 · 15/01/2013 17:04

Thanks, arti, just some long, on-going issues that may close to being sorted. And I didn't think for all of the binders, but trying to help you use a few. Wink

HellesBelles396 · 15/01/2013 17:18

arti how about mini-photo-albums for specific events: our day at the farm, etc. We have several albums containing a small number of themed photos that are easier and more enjoyable to look at regularly than big ones.

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/01/2013 18:51

Hi everyone. Sorry I've not been seen since last week. The weather, totm and a bad cold served to really knock me. The sun has been out today and it's amazing how different I feel.

arti are you crafty at all? Is there anyway you can create some covers for the binders and put personal pictures in for b'day/Christmas presents for people? I'd love it if someone did that for me. It would use some of them at least.

Today's Tadas

Get dressed and make bed

AdoraBell · 16/01/2013 01:59

Oh Helles I hope it's not noro, fx, try to keep yourself hydrated and take things easy.

Hi ya Zoo glad to see you {nicks bounty}

Scout I hope the update is positive

Other than breakfast and dinner all I've done is take DDS to volley ball and try to book a holiday. Had to confirm a couple of points with OH and have just sent an e mail. fx we should be going as far south as we can without swapping terra firma for ice. Had to go into town with DDs so I've spent most of the day out. Couldn't get what I went for, so I kind of feel it was a wasted day.

Ta Da's for this evening

Family fed and watered
Dogs fed and watered
Car put away
Kitchen cleared
DW on
Made a tea
Caught up on here

at least, having been out all day, we haven't made any mess so tomorrow shouldn't be a struggle

HellesBelles396 · 16/01/2013 08:05

Thanks for well-wishes, I've stopped being sick but tummy hurts still Sad so I'm staying off work today.

educatingarti · 16/01/2013 10:32

Helles - I hope you feel better quickly.

Right well I'm up, showered, dressed and breakfasted and determined to be a bit more organised today! Watch this space!

BlackCatinChaos · 16/01/2013 12:29

Picks self up off floor and dusts self off

I'm late again! Blush been a bit unwell/down in the dumps but trying to pick up and carry on.

Plan for this afternoon: rescue kitchen from chaos (15 mins at a time) and decide what's for dinner.

BlackCatinChaos · 16/01/2013 12:35

* babystep 16* **

HB hope you feel better soon.

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/01/2013 13:09

BlackCatinChaos · 16/01/2013 20:07

Well done!! zoo your doing great!

I have done some washing up/drying up but feel like I'm stuck on a merry go round.
Wash up/dry up, cook food - create more washing up and on it goes.

Don't want to bore you all with that anyway!

We (in England) could be in for snow again on Friday and apparently there could be lots! Shock Can't wait to see if we get any this time. Sometimes it misses us as we not far from the sea but all routes to us get it Hmm.

Must go and try to convince DD it is time for bed now. This takes a while lately.

bessie26 · 16/01/2013 20:44

hi everyone, good to see you back zoo Grin

I decluttered a bag of kids clothes yesterday & a sideboard today. I have a horrible sore throat & a stuffy nose, so have had a Berocca & am just about to run a bath and have a medicinal port or two

Sink is clean, although I am ignoring the washing up next to it.

Scout19075 · 16/01/2013 23:07

I was out all day but completed my to do list (which was mostly things like take MrScout to work, collect MrScout from work, go to Forest School, go to YOUT). Tomorrow is a new day!

AdoraBell · 17/01/2013 02:43

Just a quick update, didn't realise the timeShock

Usual things have been done, no laundry today thoughGrin, I got everything done at the weekend, and OH has bought new shirts for a business trip which, of course, need to be washed.
Did some grocery shopping after DD's volley ball, I'm currently bored with housework. I think finances and trying to sell the house is getting me down a bit. Tomorrow though I need to go and pay for our holidayGrin, DDs packed todayGrinGrin

ScubaSarah · 17/01/2013 08:00

Sorry I've been silent. I feel really guilty on work days, I leave the house at 6:10 and get home at 7:30. Too shattered to do much. I've decided to give myself a break and only think about FLYing on days I'm at home.

In other news my scan looked great, awaiting blood results from FTCS but fairly relaxed now GrinGrinGrin

My to dos for today apart from normal work crap:
Get copy of P60 for tax return Hmm
File expenses claim

educatingarti · 17/01/2013 11:00

Wow - some great lists - especially zoo

Sarah - no need to feel guilty - I work a lot from home but on busy work days don't get much done besides setting off dishwasher or putting hte odd load of washing on. Grin about scan by the way!
Cats - I hope you have a better day today.

AdoraBell · 17/01/2013 13:48

Sarah definitely nothing To feel guilty about and that's a good strategy- you spend a lot of time outside the home each day and if you try To do another day's work when you get home you'll make yourself ill. Besides, you're Busy growing a babyGrin, glad the scan went well.

Helles how are you feeling now?

Okay, I know what's sapping my energy and moré importantly what To do about it. OH is getting moré and moré frustrated with work and has been slipping back into Boss mode at home - which makes me think oh do go take a running jump, Darling that if he's The Boss then I'll work To rule- start at 7am? Okay and I'll stop at 3pmGrin . So, I'm reinforcing my boundaries.

This morning I have,

Got up and dressed
Roused DDs
Done breakfast
Laughed at some of OH's antiquated ideas
Dropped DDs at volley ball
Had a coffee while waiting.

Still To do

Feed dogs poor things are currently chain up so that the gardener can have the gate open To tend OH's dream-- garden
2 loads of laundry
Pay for holiday
Lunch
Play with DDs - yesterday they jumped in the pool fully clothed and then splashed me until I was drippingGrin

Scout19075 · 17/01/2013 13:55

Just home from being out most of the morning (swimming day + errands) so treating myself to some computer time before I crack on again.

BlackCatinChaos · 17/01/2013 15:36

Hi all, just grabbing a bit of computer time before DS is home from school.

So far today I have:
breakfast for all
got everyone dressed
made beds
school run
hoovered DD's bedroom including emptying and hoovering drawers, then putting it all back again,
been to do a tiny bit of essential shopping.
seen DM
washed up x 1
checked met office snow warnings - we are under a yellow warning. Hmm will wait and see!

BlackCatinChaos · 17/01/2013 15:39

Sarah I agree with the others, you need to give yourself some rest. Smile

Hope everyone else is o.k.
