HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 01/10/2012 09:38

I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

We welcome new slatterns, post your lists here.

Back in a sec with my list.

JKSLtd · 19/10/2012 20:09

Hello everyone, I'm back! Internet fixed, hoorah!

Managed to borrow a Tuffspot/Builders Tray and DS2 sat in that with some water this evening. Progress of a sort...

Have been working away on Christmas shopping, nearly finished the DC, phew.
Started on PIL, need to find out if I can get booked into a photo place for family shots as MIL has asked for one.

Slatternismymiddlename · 19/10/2012 20:39

Gummi - i have a monster photo job that i must get round to at some point....

I think I've finished the DC for Christmas Grin Shock

Need family photos & red box for Jessie.
Then find out if my parents are going to come up from Devon or not.
Dh needs to think of his aunt & uncle and that's it!

Also have a box of chocs hidden away, and a tin of biscuits - but i want to take them back and swap as the tin is dented and I want to keep the tin.

Today i have:

  • done meter readings and updated website
  • dealt with most of the papers (doing puzzle now)
  • cleaned DS1's trainers
  • finished trashy novel
  • cleaned kitchen & done dw

To do:

  • finish puzzle
  • put some washing on
  • test my bike, maybe even with DD as have new seat for her
  • get wine for later (DH maybe)
  • DC tea & tidy up
  • DC bath & bed
  • us out to friends for dinner (with wine & trashy book I'm giving her as a joke)
GummiberryJuice · 20/10/2012 19:51

Minimammoth · 20/10/2012 22:04

Had full on day. Massive list of stuff to do for energy cert. including new doors into conservatory thermostats to be fitted etc. which has meant emptying cupboards. So stuff from loft in one room, piles of jumpers and other clothes in every other room. Have varnished 2 sets of doors today. Tomorrow:
Sort all clothes
Go to tip with loft debris
Decide what to do with elephants
Do another coat of varnish on doors
Put stuff back in cupboards
Paint blocked up door on stairs .

Slatternismymiddlename · 21/10/2012 09:34

Work is slow here today. But mega sort out happening. One job seems to create ten more. Well back to it.

JKSLtd · 21/10/2012 16:30

785 Gummi? Wow. Dread to think how many I need to sort.

V hungover here Blush

Slatternismymiddlename · 21/10/2012 16:54

Well didn't tidy but did go on a cooking spree. Tonight's dinner prepared, curried carrot soup made, leek and potato soup made, massive pot of chillie made for Halloween night.

Ironing pile to be tackled next.

Gummi - are you printing off all the photos? If so, does it not cost a fortune?

Mini - I like the sound of a mega sort out. More details please.

GummiberryJuice · 21/10/2012 18:41

Ordered them from Tesco £ 42 delivered, they are really quick normally I have between 200 & 300 and its around 17 to 20, I have never checked to see if anywhere else is cheaper as first time I had free delivery and get clubcard points

Minimammoth · 21/10/2012 20:19

Mini's mega sort out:
Loft full of 'collections ' of stuff that never made it out of boxes in move 15 years ago. Books that may be worth something. Flog, or eBay
Nice bits, offer to family as keep sakes, otherwise get rid.
Course notes from way back, interesting, but way out of date. Probably bin.
archive stuff from business, got to keep.
Result - down to 3 boxes.
To do: sort out Christmas decs.
Cupboards : jumpers, hatsHmm , clothes not worn for aaages. Chuck out anything that does not fit, not been worn for years. Save some for DGCs dressing up box ( which I am getting together)
Spare duvets keep, extra odd curtains, throws,: to charity shop.

Beloved boiled wool coat, been eaten by mothsShock this could also be a yawn. B*** moths. I have cut up the un eaten panels and will cover chair seats with the remaining fabric.

Polish halo.

Minimammoth · 21/10/2012 22:21

Mini's mega sort out part 2.
Some of the 'save' things can go in my shed.
< cuts to shed> squeezes in past piles of drawings, art materials, BBQ, garden chair, dolls house, spare cushions, high chair, stairgate.
Need to make space to put 'to save' items.

This was supposed to be a 'studio' shed.

Minimammoth · 22/10/2012 10:36

I have obviously frightened everybody away. Well you did ask.Grin

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 22/10/2012 15:13

It will all be done by Friday, we are assured. If you are nearish, we would love to see you.

JKSLtd · 22/10/2012 20:28

Mini - you are doing tremendously! And I felt virtuous for moving the sofas & discovering all sorts of hidden/lost toys.
DS1 happy as we found his long-lost Beyblade :)

Some progress with DS2 & baths - at least we managed to wash his hair with shampoo yesterday. Still nowhere near getting in the actual bath, but he seems happy with his builders tray for now. weirdo

Tomorrow hoping to take DS1 to the cinema if the nanny will stay with DD. Transylvanian Hotel anyone?!
