Come inside for a Brew and a Biscuit and maybe even a Wine if the mood takes you.

A thread for chatter and nonsense Grin

I have not had a great evening! I am now feeling Sad and Angry.

I hadn't seen DM for a couple of weeks so we went to see her and all the time we were there DS was being a PITA. He kept jumping around on the furniture and just being generally naughty. It spoiled it quite a bit as I couldn't talk properly to her without having to tell him off. Sad

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 20:20

He's manic now.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 20:27

Scout he will get the hang of it eventually. I am sorry I vanished. I had to put dd to bed and then Mumsnet crashed yet again.

Go on about it all you like. He is learning a new skill. You need to retain all your marbles while he does it.

He used to be a good sleeper. [sobs]

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 20:32

He will be a very good sleeper again very soon.

He is just trying out some boundaries just now.

Dh has read ds a Mr Man story (Mr Dizzy if anyone is interested) and a bit of Fudgeomania by Judy Blume. Surely that is safe enough. He is now alone in bed with NO cd player or light apart from his bedside light. He does have a pile of Mr Men books to browse through though. Fx.

I keep loosing Mumsnet!

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 21:14

I wish I could go to bed. Toddler's STILL at it.

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 21:58

Stupid MN keeps breaking.

Toddler's been down (out?) for almost half an hour (YAY!). MrScout's just in. I'm off to Tesco for a half an hour breather.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 22:05

Well done Scout. Make sure you buy yourself a treat at the supermarket.

I keep losing Mumsnet too Cats. It is very frustrating.

bessie26 · 30/04/2012 22:06

someone said on this thread that when MN breaks, if you press the 'back' button on your browser you will be returned to your post. (I haven't tested this out!)

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 22:16

Well, I am considering going to bed "early" again. I have a bad feeling that as soon as I do ds will get up and make a fuss. [fear emoticon]

OP posts:
bessie26 · 30/04/2012 22:20

better that he makes a fuss earlier than later?

a storm has just started here, so I'm going up to bed incase the girls wake.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 22:22

You are right bessie. Right I am off to my bed.

Please make me phone the doc tomorrow.

Sleep well everyone and tell all those dcs to, "Go back to bed, it's bedtime!"

Good luck!

I bought myself a milkshake. I didn't really need it but boy am I enjoying it now!

Scout19075 · 01/05/2012 03:21

Bloody hell, he's doing it in the middle of the effin' night now.

Scout19075 · 01/05/2012 04:29

I thought he had gone out (had been in bed nearly 40 minutes). I had almost fallen back to sleep. I fear I just lost it. Blush

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/05/2012 07:01

Morning all,

{{Sending hugs}} Scout I hope you got some sleep.

Carrots remember to phone the doctor.

carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 08:32

Poor you Scout. It's horrid when they do that. I completely get why you would lose it at that time in the morning.

Thanks Cats - no danger of not doing it as my headache got so bad it was waking me up. I can't phone until 9 though and will be on my way home from the school run then. I might drive just so I can be back quicker as I really want to see someone today.

Will you get the chance to nap when TS finally naps Scout? I suspect you need to grab all sleep where you can for the next day or two.

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 01/05/2012 08:42

Yes, I managed to get back to sleep around 5:45 and woke up around 7:30. I feel like cr@p. TS is already rubbing his eyes and yawning. I do plan on napping when he does -- it's the only way I will survive Seniors and bedtime tonight.

Sleep = sleep so I really must make sure Toddler naps today. He really does bed more easily when he's napped.

carrots, make sure you call for an appointment. Sinus infections are no fun.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/05/2012 09:12

I am feeling quiet today so might not have much to say.

I will lurk on and off and post if I feel like it.

Confused
carrotsandcelery · 01/05/2012 09:32

No worries Cats. You know we are around if you need us - although hopefully Scout will be snoozing.

I am out at 10.10 and will see after that. I should do a supermarket shop and I also promised a friend 2 traybakes for Saturday so I will need to get my act together. The fridge needs a clean before I shop though which is putting me off the whole thing.

I forgot to say, WE BOOKED A HOLIDAY!

Dh has 2 weeks off in October so we have booked a cottage in Wales for the first week. It is tiny but has access to a swimming pool, hot tub, games room and large outdoor play area (if it is dry enough). It is beside a beach and has pony trekking so hopefully dd can fulfill an ambition and canter down the beach.

It's a long way off but I am very excited.

We just need to book a travel lodge for the way there and back to break the journey. That way we can stop and do things on the way so it is not too tedious for us all.

Whoop Whoop!
