Come inside for a Brew and a Biscuit and maybe even a Wine if the mood takes you.

A thread for chatter and nonsense Grin

Thanks for the ideas zoo - I like recipe records...

I am "friends" with these people on Facebook & they often send out nice sounding recipes. They are aimed at babies, but avocado & banana cakes sounds good for everyone I think?

Toddler napped until 1 o'clock so not great but better than nothing. He was very good during my appointment at the bank (trust me, I considered cancelling/rescheduling given last night/today). We also did a load of laundry and got things for dinner tonight. After tonight MrScout isn't home for a few nights so really want to do the weekly shop tonight so I don't have to drag Toddler around (especially if his sleeping remains cr@ppy). As it is I have Seniors tomorrow (can't cancel) and two hospital appointments on Wednesday (definitely can't cancel as once a year appointments and so difficult to get) so the less I have to take TS to boring places the better he'll be at those two things.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 16:54

Scout I wish I was round the corner and TS could have come to play with me while you did your jobs and had your appointments.

bessie I have been trying to think of blog names all day but not come up with anything too interesting so far. Sorry.

I haven't listened to Metallica for years zoo. I don't know if I could take it just now actually. I might have to hide in a darkened room. BUT I AM NOT MIDDLE AGED!

Dd is bopping around to the Bellowhead while she does her ironing. I am quite amused watching her little bottom jigging around as she doesn't know I can see her Grin

She plays the fiddle and is learning Irish jigs and things like that just now so this has struck a chord.

Just dropping in whilst I eat "organised" tea. Sandwich ( Philadephia Light with basil and sun-dried tomato) and apple! Will have to fly in a minute to next lesson!

That has got ds bopping around the kitchen bessie. He is dancing like a raver, having never seen a raver. It is VERY funny.

Oh and he has tried a bit of hip hop street dance stuff too - it is clearly speaking to him bessie.

Personally I am in the mood for a bit of just now. That is about all I can handle for now. Blush

I forgot all about tea! Shock

What can I make?

Eeek!

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 17:34

Ok, pasta, sweetcorn and sausage with a tomato sauce and cheese. Grin

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 17:43

Toddler had pasta. I have a microwave dinner Blush in case there's a repeat of last night.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 17:57

I don't blame you Scout.

Hopefully after his nap experience it will be a bit better.

Well, we're not off to a good start tonight. I am trying to remain positive. Started bedtime a bit earlier than usual because he's just so tired.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 19:11

I am right behind you Scout. Be strong and have some Wine in a drip I arranged for you earlier. Grin

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:14

Thanks, carrots. Well, I've done three proper (a la Super Nanny) put backs -- bedtime Toddler , bedtime, nothing. He's stayed there since number three. I did hear him talk and play with his windmill for a few minutes but it's completely silent now. Maybe tonight's gone better than I first thought?!

Still sitting on my bed, though. Desperately hungry -- have realized I haven't eaten today (except for a couple of Toddler's pasta twirls and those nuts earlier).

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:15

Damn, just peaked in -- he's still awake but has "about to sleep glazy eyes."

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:21

Argh, he's started again.

I'm so hungry!

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:23

Oh dear. Sobbing of the squeaky sort.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 19:25

It's ok Scout. You can do it.

Return him to bed and go and eat something before you pass out. You will not deal with it all calmly if you are hungry.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 19:26

Do you still have a baby monitor in his room?

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:30

We've never had one here -- our house is the size of a matchbox. We have one at the in laws, though.

Oh, he's staying again. Broke the "no talking" and told him he could have his windmill when he stayed in bed and stopped climbing out. Now he's just started sobbing for his windmill (but to be fair, staying in bed). It's a very tired cry that he seems to be able to turn off.

Now he's talking about Daddy and going to Gaga & Pampa's house (Nana & Grandpa) and sobbing for Daddy.

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:32

Oh now I'm hearing "No Mum, Daddy! Daddy here!" Sad.

carrotsandcelery · 30/04/2012 19:40

Oh oh! He is blackmailing you emotionally Scout. He is clearly highly intelligent Grin

Stick to your guns. He will love you the same as always and forever Smile

I have a serious monster headache Sad I can hear my nose squeaking due to the pressure in my sinuses. I have had this for weeks. I think I will be phoning the doc tomorrow for some help!

((holding hand for Scout and got the Wine ready))

Keep at it!!!

Scout19075 · 30/04/2012 19:52

Oh yes, I ignored the whimperings.

He's started up the up & down again. I've brought my dinner to my room in hopes to get something into me while putting him back to bed.

I'm sorry I keep on about this on here. But my yahoo chat isn't working so I can't moan to Mom and MrScout won't be home until 9 at the earliest and I need a hand to hold to keep me from losing my marbles.
