A thread for chatter and nonsense

I'm back again. DD did fall asleep so I had a late lunch. I have just been busy phoning up various appointments. I am taking DS to the doctors tomorrow to get them to have a look at his wound (on his head) and take of the "Steri strips" if they think it is time. I'm not sure if my boiler is playing up as I tried to turn the heating on earlier and it wouldn't come on . I will ask DH to have a look later. I am making do with blankets for now.

I had to put the radiator in the kitchen on as well Cats.

bessie I have made the velcro lollipop sticks from your Pinterest. I am interested to see what, if anything, ds makes of them after school. I suspect he will want to add more velcro for more versatility. I will report back once he has had a go.

Back to work after counselling session. Feeling wobbly and as though I just want to go to bed, but I need to keep going really!

It is really draining. ((((hugs)))) Arti. Have you time to sit and have a cuppa and relax for 10 mins or so?

The tv man has been. I can talk but very squeakily. Luckily I have met him before so he realised I had an issue.

I am ashamed to admit I am dreading after school today. Ds talks ALL the time and I will feel awful not chatting back. I have been trying to think how I can make a game out of it with hand signals and gestures. I have also got out our little wipe clean white board. I can talk to him but don't fancy talking all afternoon when it is like this.

I might let him spend a fair bit of time on the computer or watching tv or just drawing for my own sake Some days that is all you can do - you just have to get through them as pleasantly as you can.

I am hoping the sun is trying to come out.

I just noticed we are at 959 posts. The thread is taking ages to load which is what made me look.

It is still grey, wet and 5C here today. It will be indoor playing with ds. School probably kept him in as well so he will be hanging from the ceiling lights. I don't feel I have the energy. I wish he was still keen on play centres...

You could do carrots. I need to go now and wake DD,(wish me luck).

I am impressed carrots I haven't made or done anything I've pinned!

Ds is finding them a bit restrictive tbh. He has ideas what he wants to do with them but the velcro has the wrong bit on the end of it for what he wants eg he needs a spikey bit but the end of the bit he has is fluffy and that sort of thing. They looked a nice idea but are maybe not as good as they looked. They might be better with younger ones or they could lead to toddler frustration tantrums.

I will let them hang around for a bit and see if anyone masters them but at the moment I give them a thumbs down.

I am planning to have a go at decopatching a bedside table with spiderman comics. Hopefully that one is more successful. I am a bit anxious now!
