Hi, today I am concentrating on enjoying my last day at home with just DD2 She's sleeping a lot because of her ear, but is currently ramming zoo's ginger & lentil stew down her neck like there is no tomorrow!

We're out tonight for a friend's birthday so I need to get ready this arvo while she naps. I'm considering wearing a dress, but am not sure I am brave enough!

Kitten decided to jump in all the puddles on the way home. She then decided to sit on the wet floor.

Have your clothes arrived yet bessie?
Cats great excuse for a warm up snuggle together.
I am just having a hot choc to warm up myself.

Yep, they arrived at 9am! I got 4 different tops (in 2 different sizes) and I think 2 of them will be ok. I'll try them on again tomorrow to see if I still like them!

DD2 is back in bed, so I might have a snooze too

BBRRRR! I feel cold today and will have to go out again in the wet weather to do school run. I feel tired as well now. Can't go to sleep though cause DD doesn't always have a daytime nap.

I think I will make that hot chocolate!

That's better! I now have scarf on, a blanket, chocolate to eat and a drink of chocolate.

I have warmed up. I have my favourite ugly jumper on so feel cosy. I am treating myself to a bowl of strawberries, blueberries & black grapes hoping the vit c will blast this cold i have.

its still a warzone in the zoo house so i have been concentrating my efforts on trying to keep calm and cleaning whilst they are at school
im not being an ignorant git!

i have made banana and strawberry adn muffins and my favourite banana loaf today.it was lovely when i walked back in with lil zoo after nursery pick up to smell clean washing hanging drying and banana cake almost ready in the oven

I am battling a pukey migraine. Toddler and I have been at odds. Took him to Sainsbury's, 2 miles away on other side of town, for a change of scenery and he fell asleep on the way over. No, he couldn't fall asleep at nap time and kept climbing & jumping on me as I tried desperately for a 1/2 hour nap myself to get off this boat ride of sickness. ARGH. I turned around and came home (shouldn't have been driving anyway).

He's so desperately tired. Holding off until 6:15/6:30 then bed. Please please please let him go to bed easily tonight or I may just lose my rag completely.

Scout is there someone who would come over and play with him or take him away so you can sleep? I have done this before for people and them for me when i was so ill with morning sixkness

Normally I would, carrots, but at this point in the day I'll just plod on. I just couldn't believe Toddler's cheek at falling asleep so quickly in the car but not in bed when we were both craving sleep! We've been watching cartoons for an hour. I think MrScout's going to sort our dinner.

You are nearly at bedtime now. I used to have to plan my journeys around the certainty that mine would sleep as soon as we went out in the car. It was the only way they would nap after the age of about 9 months too: in the car or pushchair. I walked and drove for miles depending on the weather. They stayed asleep even if i came home but we had to go out to get them asleep.

Tired Toddlers do protest too much.

Today has been pretty crappy! The doctor phoned as soon as we were in from the school run and DD was having a massive tantrum at the time.
We have got wet from the rain on more than one occasion today and DD was just sick on the dining room carpet. I don't know if she has just had too much dairy today as she has been asking for milk a lot today or whether it was just down to a cold she has.
DS keeps running from one room to another.
All in all it has left me feeling pretty cheesed off!

im sorry ive been a bit antisocial.dd2 behaviour is getting me down.i was chatting to another mum today and was good to know she is having simiar battles so i dont feel its just me anymore being a crap mum!

tonight has been a little better,the meltdowns were over before dinner and i sat on my bed i put them all to bed and planned tomorrows flying and knowing i was around they all settled and are now asleep

i shall trundle off and hunt out a snack to eat while i watch csi and them probably go to bed

hope scout manages to shake that horrible headache by the morning

Hello everyone! I am back online properly. It is such a relief to type instead of stab at that stupid touch screen phone. It is scary how much I depend upon my precious laptop

Morning all!

I am all at sea this morning as I don't have my usual routine. Ds has the hospital today for the ASD assessment. We don't think now that he has ASD but the psychologist is hoping it will give her a bit more insight into what IS going on with him.

He has to go in with her by himself for about 45 mins so I will probably be mumsnetting on my phone outside while I wait.

Before that we have to drive and get the bus and then walk to get to the hospital so it will be an exciting morning for him. Please send out positive, no bus freak out vibes

I am feeling a bit this morning. It has been yet another difficult week!
DS was told this morning by the head teacher that he can't do football this week till his head gets better. I agree with her but DH and DS were all for him playing.
DD threw a tantrum cause she wanted to go nursery but I don't think she is well enough (she was sick last night and wouldn't eat breakfast this morning).

I feel like the "bad guy" cause I asked the head teacher if she though he should play or not.

Cats, I would agree with you -- better safe than sorry! Heads/brains are valuable things and they need to rest/heal properly.

My headache seems to be gone (yay!). We're off to our almost weekly meet-up with Toddler's big friends for soft play play this morning. He seems happy about it.

I've decided to go slowly with flying today and my to do list seems very short compared to some days.
