Come inside for a Brew and a Biscuit and maybe even a Wine if the mood takes you.

A thread for chatter and nonsense Grin

Not quite. She guessed the same as Scout there but it is very close. Grin

Anyone else want to play?

Scout19075 · 04/05/2012 20:38

Considering I'm not British I thought I did pretty well. Grin

carrotsandcelery · 04/05/2012 20:39

You did Scout. Dd's seems to be the weirdest most unusual!

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 20:39

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 20:40

i was embarrased by my guess but you can never be sure what people will choose as a name these daysBlush

CatsSleepAnywhere · 04/05/2012 20:41

Hello, I went for a lie down on the sofa and watch some telly. I seem to get tired in the evenings lately but then I suppose I do get up quite early sometimes.

Carrots The flowers and the scenery photo's were taken at coniston in the Lake district a couple of years ago. The flowers are Petunias.

educatingarti · 04/05/2012 20:45

Arti is very clever knows that Google is her friend!

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 20:46

i wonder if petunias are easy to grow?

id love a pot of them near back doorSmile

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 20:48

early startmake me burn out come tea time Cats

last few weeks ive been napping like hibernating hedghog!Shock

educatingarti · 04/05/2012 20:52

Zoo - petunias are very easy to grow from small plants

They should be very common in garden centres and B&Q type places about now.

Just don't plant them out in an exposed place while there are still likely to be frosts!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 04/05/2012 20:52

I think it could be zoo cause by 6.30 I was saying to DH that I felt I could easily go to bed. Couldn't though as DC were still up. I will probably go to bed by 10 though.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 04/05/2012 20:54

That's right arti, they are a bedding plant so are only alive for the summer --till the frosts--

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 20:56

half the time 10oclock is a major late night for me

thanks arti i think i mat have to treat myself

im hoping the frosts that are forecast here for tonight dont kill my emerging lilly of the valleySad

hollyhocks are starting to pop through too though they are over taking thre garden and after the flowers die look a right bloody mess

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 20:59

are many at ds sleepover carrots?

CatsSleepAnywhere · 04/05/2012 21:00

Zoo Lily of the valley should be fine they are quite hardy. perennial as well so should come back every year.

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 21:06

thanks for that cats

lets just say im a better mum than gardener....i mnaged to kill a beautiful fuschia id taken fro a cutting last summer by forgetting to water it for 2 days when the work men invaded and dug up the side house to underpin the subsidance

carrotsandcelery · 04/05/2012 21:07

Lily of the valley survives up here so they should be ok with you zoo.

It is just ds and his friend tonight. His friend's mum is brilliant with dcs and good at managing the trickier traits. I trained her in his panic attacks and temper tantrums but she works with autistic kids so is pretty easy going and know my ds well.

I can't deny that I am anxious for him. It's at lights out that I am worried. She is planning to exhaust them and hope they collapse Grin

There's talk of ScoutCamp packing up and moving camp for the weekend (or at least overnight tomorrow night) -- must admit I'm concerned all of my hard work this week will be undone by one night in a hotel.

carrotsandcelery · 04/05/2012 21:14

Do you have to go Scout? I have to admit I would be worried too. It seems early to rock the boat.

We went to a family wedding a few months back which meant staying with my dMil, which also means ds sleeping with me. It set us back for a while.

It has been hard for you this week and he is only just getting the message. Would a day trip work? I know his naps would still be tricky.

OP posts:
liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 21:15

must be good to know hes in confident/experienced hands carrots

why the decamp scout?

Scout19075 · 04/05/2012 21:19

MrScout thought it would be nice to go away. I think he misses Toddler and I during the week.

carrotsandcelery · 04/05/2012 21:20

It does help zoo. My fear is really that he does something awful and is no longer welcome. Or that he freaks out at 1am and wants to come home.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 04/05/2012 21:21

Scout that is a hard call. Is MrScout stuck there this weekend?

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 04/05/2012 21:24

It's more of a spontaneous "let's go away for the bank holiday" rather than me travel to where MrScout's working. I think MrScout's already sorted something out so might not be able to postpone.

liveinazoo · 04/05/2012 21:25

knowing the childs background and inviting for a sleepover i doubt anything would be so awful would "queer his pitch"so to speak

i would be pretty easy going if i was brave enough cope anymore kids at night

i really do hope he has a wonderful time carrots
