chatted to friend who came to the door with flowers for me
spoked to ddad on phone
dmum then phoned and offered to host my family birthday (massive relief)
arranged flowers

I need to do some proper jobs!

carrots stop doing things! A lady of your age needs to rest (and drink lots of wine!)

I have spent the day on the phone, chatting to visitors, in restaurants and being totally spoiled rotten.

We've had no t'internet, or phone, for 2 days.

The Ta Dah's were outweighing the To Do's but today I decided to hang the housework and go out.

I'll pop in over the next few days, when I feel like crossing a few things off the list I cba to write

Hi everyone - after a few days of feeling a bit down and unmotivated, I'm back. We've done loads of decluttering and after some encouragement on here I even tackled DD's toys. Unbelievably I filled 3 binliners! They're going in the loft (now there's space in the loft!)

Unfortunately MIL has also been bitten by the loft decluttering bug and apparently there are multiple boxes in DH's old bedroom which we have to deal with. This'll be a problem because they'll mostly be cassettes which DH refuses to get rid of (or even sort through) for sentimental reasons

BUT the house is benefiting from the reduced clutter and I WILL get there...!

Well done on the decluttering josie. It makes a lasting difference and also makes the daily jobs much less difficult to achieve.

I am still doing it after about 18 months of flying (nearly) but it IS getting better all the time and every "round" I get a bit deeper into the mess. I think ours builds up fast too so it is a constant battle.

It does, doesn't it? It feels like crap stuff flies into the house at an alarming rate...

Are you still partying carrots? My friend has just had her 9th 40th birthday celebration!

It is getting a bit like that bessie. I have a brief coffee tomorrow with a friend who couldn't make yesterday and then a proper party tomorrow afternoon and still a night out to organise to with my childhood friends...

It's really touching bessie. I had no idea people were at all bothered but so many have gone out of their way to see me/ spoil me.

ahhhhh! All well deserved I'm sure!

I haven't done much today as we were out for alot of the day, but I have just finished my meal plan & am half way through the online shopping list. Am determined to get it done tonight!

Poor dh cut the grass last night after working all day
I decluttered lots of areas of the kitchen last night
Today I have:
unloaded and reloaded the dw
cleaned the worktops
cleaned out the piggies
hoovered downstairs - even behind the sofas etc
decluttered a lot more

It felt a lot harder than it looks on screen.

I am off for a hot bath now though with more grapefruit bubbles

bessie im appear to be joining carrots in the old gimmers club before you.i shall ask for a pointy walking stick for a gift as i will be in no fit state to chase you young whippersnappers so i shall poke you from a distance!ha ha

i have just written my shopping list and am now orf shopping
