I need to get back in gear. I am still struggling to get going --have a bad case of CBA-- but I'm sure with a bit of help I can do it!

Plan of attack:
Lunch
then 15 minutes here and there (starting in the kitchen)

If lunch is done do you want to "buddy" at 1.00 ?

OP posts:
liveinazoo · 28/03/2012 12:00

def in for 1oclock buddy
say 1-1.20
chat til 1.40
work til 2?

sure 2x20min bursts we can get something productive done!Grin

CatsSleepAnywhere · 28/03/2012 12:04

Sounds good if DD lets me get on.

She is understandable a bit clingy at the mo and although it's lovely to have cuddles, we will drown under washing up and clutter if I don't put in some effort.Shock

Just taken a pain killer so I can manage the school run. I haven't done a lot today but my back was starting to ache again. Not sure whether to try and get DD to go in the pram, she is asleep right now so don't know whether to try and put her in the pram while she is asleep or wake her. Confused Either way, I really don't want to aggravate my back!

DH has a few days off from tomorrow so it's just this afternoon I need to worry about. Yesterday she was still ill so went in the pram without a fight.

Sorry to go off topic!!

Ta Das:

washed and dressed to shoes
ds's lunch and snacks made
got dcs to school on time
met friends for jobs
collected dcs from school
loaded dishwasher
tidied worktops
room rescued kitchen
prepped tonight's meal

I am now waiting for the dcs to declutter the kitchen table as it is all their mess.

To Dos and Ta Dahs:

get Toddler & I dressed to shoes
breakfast Toddler
pack swimming bag
swimming class
hang wet swimming gear
prep slow cooker dinner
town -- bank
town -- pay for swimming
town -- stamps
email PiL
Seniors paperwork (receipts, spreadsheet)
download Scholastic order
finish creating tracers/patterns for meet-up
make sample of craft for meet-up
15 minute declutter -- kitchen
15 minute declutter -- living room
empty nappy bin
take yucky diapers to outside bin
clean toilet
clean bathroom sink
limey taps of bathroom sink
(really should do shower, do, but don't know if my achy body will allow that)
recycling to bin
find oragami boat pattern
RSVP to wedding
Seniors -- set schedule
Seniors -- email schedule
Seniors -- email school schedule
address package to Canada
write letter to Canadian friend (for package)
sort out 12-18 mos clothes (mum of TS's best friend who has 9 mos son old said she'd gratefully take whatever we'd like to share)
bag up laundry

Toddler's down for a nap so I'm having lunch, a few minutes breather and then off to work again. When he gets up from his nap we're going to walk to town and do the town errands. We didn't get to town before swimming (which is when I wanted to so we could pay for swimming while we were there) because I had a 45 minute Toddler Wobbly of varying degrees (before realizing his teeth were causing a lot of grief) and we were running late (we meet friend early so I can help her with child care sorting).

Scout19075 · 29/03/2012 12:29

Sorry Cats, we swim Thursday mornings so I tend to not be around much until we return.

Yikes!

I have wrapped loads of parcels for dd's birthday. Loads from friends and family were delivered here by Amazon so I have had to wrap them as well to make it more fun for her.

It was quite exciting opening the cardboard boxes and having a nosey.

She should be a very happy girl at the weekend Grin

I don't feel great (sicky, headachey, sore throaty, yukky) so am trying just to tick over today.

bessie26 · 29/03/2012 13:58

DD1 is sick & DD2 is grizzly (teeth). We are all in (our own) bed, however I am the only one with tea, chocolate & the internet!

I've done very basic stuff, but was out for part of the morning as DD2 had her first settling in session at nursery - luckily DH was able to arrange to WFH this morning & sat watching CBeebies with DD1 while I was out.

Is anyone thinking of doing any pampering? I am hoping to do some/all of the following tonight while DH is out, but it depends on the invalids.

  • Shred (day 2)
  • bath
  • hair treatment
  • face mask
  • cut nails

Going to go put limey on one of the taps then wake Toddler up for walk to town to do errands. I promised him he could take Bunny out in the "toller" and we could have a "dink" at the coffee shop. I think we'll be gone for awhile.

I hate waking him but last night he was still awake at 8:30 (goodness knows when he went to sleep) and he's been up since 6:20-ish. If he'd sleep in it wouldn't be so bad. So if I wake him hopefully he'll go to sleep when I get him down about 7-7:15. (If he sleeps 7:15-6:15 we have much better a much better Toddler/Mother relationship.)

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 14:05

bessie is this new? I don't remember this before. Are we supposed to pamper ourselves every day? I am not processing brilliantly today so a bit confused.

I like the idea of a little pamper every day though.

My no 1 need is to paint my toe nails as I have had to wear my trainers through all the hot weather because I haven't beautified my feet Blush

bessie26 · 29/03/2012 14:20

I think she means weekly carrots Mine just happens to be tonight because DH is usually out. She says:

Right now, go to the Taking Care of You page and find the Weekly Pamper Mission. Read it, then think about when you are going to do it. You may have to put it on your calendar to really make it happen. Schedule yourself some ?you? time ? you deserve it!

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 14:22

I like the idea. I need to think about a day for it now.

Slow cooker seems to have died. [wails] I noticed before we went out, so grabbed a substitute dinner (everything else was frozen) from Tesco while in town. Stopped on the path on the way home to play with a cat and at the playground to swing & slide.

Will sort out more in the bathroom before coming down from putting Toddler to bed. Then sort out the dishes in the sink before making MrScout's dinner. Then I'll will do the sit down stuff (like downloading, crafts, letter writing) while watching television tonight.

bessie26 · 29/03/2012 23:06

ooops, forgot we had friends coming round tomorrow & of course I got nothing done here today because we all napped for 2hrs this arvo I was looking after a poorly toddler. So had a busy evening.

  • clean sink & hob
  • tidy kitchen
  • vacuum downstairs
  • mopped kitchen floor
  • shred (day 2)
  • shower
  • reward chart
  • ordered new ink for the printer

we're going to a wedding on saturday, so it actually makes more sense to do the pampering stuff tomorrow night anyway.
