CatsSleepAnywhere · 05/04/2012 18:54

I might return later. I have to go and do DD bath and bedtime now.

carrotsandcelery · 05/04/2012 19:07

zoo I am Envy of your bag of loot. I am obsessed with drumstick lollipops. The dcs are always anxious after Halloween and parties if they have drumsticks. I haven't nicked one yet but get very envious. They transport me instantly to being a child, wearing red buckle shoes and brown flares

carrotsandcelery · 05/04/2012 19:07

BTW what is this "Home Bargains" everyone is speaking of? I have never come across such a place.

carrotsandcelery · 05/04/2012 19:09

Ds has been giving me a foot massage. It was heaven. He is so light he can lie on my shins with his feet towards me to have his feet massaged without it hurting.

liveinazoo · 05/04/2012 19:16

home bargains offers me a truck load sweets for few pounds
also crisps, vinyl gloves, cleaning products of all kinds, kids toys and craftsfood
and all manner other lovilinessGrin

drumsticks were in a bag reduced lollies.also had swizzels in itSmile

i had a pair dusty pink flared cords i wore to school disco aged 8-9 with frilly shirt and clumpy buckle shoes..i thought i was the cats pyjamas!!!Grin

liveinazoo · 05/04/2012 19:17

p.s why did brown and orange feature so heavily as cool colours then?Confused

carrotsandcelery · 05/04/2012 19:21

The brown flares in question were a hand me down from my big brother. I wore them with a nylon womble t shirt, also handed down from my big brother. I am sporting a womble t shirt in nearly all of our childhood pics as we had matching ones so when I outgrew mine I grew into his. and dh wonders why I like buying dd nice clothes.

carrotsandcelery · 05/04/2012 19:22

I also had brilliant green and pink psychedellic clothes for my tiny tears with yellow zig zag trim made out of one of my dmum's old outfits. My poor tiny tears! Shock

liveinazoo · 05/04/2012 19:28

how chic!
my tiny tears had hand knitted outfits, right down to her pants

when i moved onto sindy dolls they too were inflicted given knitted garments.i was soo Envy my friends shop brought doll clothes, especially her sindy designer gown of black silk and lace

do you remember tressy dolls carrots?

liveinazoo · 05/04/2012 19:33

oh and i walk school sometime anothe mum in our street
she was collecting tokens off cravendale milk for kermit backpacks and her uses it so gave some, then her dd decided if ds having one she wanted one so was on the hunt for more
she was fishing the cartons out other peoples recycling boxes and pylling off the labels...i laughed and called her a womble!Grin

liveinazoo · 05/04/2012 19:34

shouldve said her mum buys craven dale and gave some labels

carrotsandcelery · 05/04/2012 19:50

Ha ha! My Tiny Tears also had knitted clothes and so did my Sindy doll. She has a crocheted one too. My dparents kept it all so it sometimes appears for dd to play with. Bizarrely my tiny tears also had a grey granny hairdo. I never have figured that out. My dparents still have it too Shock

I loved the wombles but I was heartily sick of the tshirt by the time I outgrew the second one!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 05/04/2012 20:35

We have a Home Bargains too. I really ought to go there more often.

liveinazoo · 06/04/2012 07:52

morning all!

zoolets wereup bright and early so while sun shines on the frosty paths we are off out for a walk

will have do mammoth flying session later

CatsSleepAnywhere · 06/04/2012 09:14

Morning all, I seem to be in "holiday mode" in the mornings at the mo as I feel like I CBA to get dressed. [bublush]

The DC have been firing pompoms at me and shouting "snowball fight", something which DD started [ buhmm] Grin.

carrotsandcelery · 06/04/2012 10:17

[busmile] I love the bunny ears! That has made me [bugrin]

Bribery Incentives are clearly the way forward. Ds chose a skylander instead of an Easter egg at the shops yesterday but was told is he woke me up this morning he wouldn't get it [desperate emoticon] I slept til 7.30! [bugrin] He is now playing skylanders.

We were planning a big walk with both dogs today, hoping Twilight would manage it, and it is bucketing rain. I will have to check the forecast to see if it is meant to last or not. Otherwise it will be full rain gear I suppose.

I have been lying in the bath finishing a book (children's book I wanted to read before dd as I was not sure about it) and feel the better for a relaxed soak. Dd chose Lego instead of an Easter egg so she has been happy doing that which gave me a breather.

Scout19075 · 06/04/2012 11:32

No white chicken eggs anywhere. Waitrose did have white duck eggs (six count) and hen eggs that were pastel colored (mostly yellowish, blueish and greenish). MrScout said we could still have the duck eggs to eat on Easter so might have to go back to get some. Lovely lady in the farm shop was very sympathetic to my search/plea but had no idea where to get white hen eggs.

Scout19075 · 06/04/2012 11:33

Oh, forgot to say might get the pastel eggs, too, and use them for the shrink wrapping.

liveinazoo · 06/04/2012 11:56

hi everyone.loving the [bugrin]!!!

we had a lovely walk thiss morning part following the river and through 2 parks...ended up at an aldiConfused

ds informed me solomnly i mustnt tell anyone at schooland he picks up hi s anatomically correct baby with tenderness that belies his years and carried in off to his room![busmile]

i need major sticking today.dp sister is visiting parents this weekend and may want drop by and see the kidsshes highly houseproud and normally looks down her nose at my place so its an incentive of sorts to get in gear (HELP)

liveinazoo · 06/04/2012 12:13

oh and oooh oooh oooh

WE MIGHT BE GETTING A CAT!!!!!!!![over excited emoticon]

dd2 has major phobia having seen a couple cats our garden "fighting" and convinced herself they willl try do same to her.that and fed up being local cat lav we have been talking to her lots
we are getting through i think and might be visitiing a cat canctuary this weekend for a look
we shall then talk it through again briefly and hopefully return to sanctuary in week or so armed with cat carrier and bowls, collar etc chosen with her help.
she has asked if we get one whether she can be responsible for bowl washing and feeding

i had a cat when i was 12 and another adopted us when dd1 was 2

CatsSleepAnywhere · 06/04/2012 12:41

Zoo If you get a cat I would go for a tom cat (male). It will be more friendly and would hopefully cope better with family life. I have always had a pet cat all my life and female cats like to be left alone a lot more. We currently have a female (was a stray) she is coming out of her shell a bit more lately but spends a lot of time on windowsill trying to be out of reach. DD is getting better behaved towards her now though.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 06/04/2012 12:53

I've just sat down with lunch so might be a little late getting started.
