carrotsandcelery · 28/03/2012 21:23

Mine was delicious! Yum!

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 11:04

Morning all!

I am back from the school and had a great time. They were really sweet and friendly. Smile

I am having a little breather and then will have to get going on some jobs.

What is everyone up to today?

Scout19075 · 29/03/2012 12:42

Hi carrots. My massive list is on the other thread. Right now I'm having lunch.

Scout19075 · 29/03/2012 21:00

Wine?

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 21:29

Hi Scout. Smile I will clink my Brew with your Wine

I have not achieved much today. I ended up having an medical emergency with dd which was quite scary and involved driving around the countryside looking for a doctor (rural half days can be a total pain).

We did eventually get one and all is well for now but dd will need another check up tomorrow for a second opinion. It is one of those probably nothing but potentially nasty problems.

I thought we had our fair share of medical nonsense but it seems we need a bit more Hmm

I then used up all remaining energy playing tig with ds in the park Grin

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 21:33

I have also discovered an amusing way to fritter half an hour, do some maths and feed your ds if you are so cold you are desperate to go inside and the only place open is either the pub or the supermarket and you can only find £1.30 on the floor in your car and have no handbag.

Give it to your dc and tell them they can spend it all in the shop on almost whatever they want. Ds is not good at decision making Grin I thawed out Grin He did lots of addition figuring out his best deal with his cash. Grin

Final decision was a twister ice lolly and 2 mini choc bunnies, one of which he gave to me without any suggestions on my part Grin Grin

I then suggested that dd had had a rubbish evening and she might like it. She was sooooooo chuffed. It was Grin again.

Scout19075 · 29/03/2012 21:33

Oh dear, carrots, is everyone okay?

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 21:35

I think so Scout - hopefully a fuss about nothing. Sorry to be so elusive but very distinctive and I already say waaaay too much here.

Scout19075 · 29/03/2012 22:10

Hope everyone's alright, carrots.

I ended up with a case of CBA tonight. Did the washing up before making MrScout's dinner and did do the Seniors stuff but that's about it. Really should have done a bit more but the chair was comfy and the TV enticing.

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 22:13

I have hardly moved since 7pm Scout Shock

I was totally shattered.

Dh is off tomorrow and we are planning to go out to play so not much will happen then either and we are hosting a family gathering (10 people) on Saturday afternoon. Eeek!

carrotsandcelery · 29/03/2012 22:13

What was good on the tv? Dh is playing on the wii again.

Scout19075 · 29/03/2012 22:30

We just watched recorded programs, carrots. One of which was the Mary Portas Knickers program. I was going to watch American Idol (Blush) but I'll "watch" it tomorrow while doing chores (I don't tend to watch, but listen).

Have decided to make one of my samples while sitting here watching the news. I love kids craft.

CamperWidow · 30/03/2012 11:43

Hey guys. Bit of a strange question. What do you guys drink during the day? I love my tea, but I never get to enjoy it warm, never mind hot! Water is far too boring and I don't want to pay a fortune for fizzy water. Need to up my intake, but don't know what I fancy!!!! Confused

liveinazoo · 30/03/2012 12:03

water here im afraid
if im feeling exotic add slice lemon/lime or bit mintGrin
occasionally have very weak ribena

bessie26 · 30/03/2012 12:06

I have too much tea, but otherwise have water, squash, watery-juice (half & half), miso soup, hot chocolate or low salt stock (it sounds weird, but it's just like thin veg soup)

liveinazoo · 30/03/2012 12:11
liveinazoo · 30/03/2012 12:12

bessie how are the little ones today?

bessie26 · 30/03/2012 12:28

DD1 is much better thanks, not quite back to 100% but hasn't been sick since tea-time yesterday. DD2 is teething so is grizzly & drooling like a hound. They are both happily scoffing a (small) bowl of rice pudding Grin

liveinazoo · 30/03/2012 12:36

ah.nursery puds are fab arent they?Grin

little zoo is eating cheese and onion ringos through a horrible nose full thick green goo with temperature and coughSad

its a pity ds isnt as forthcoming at sharing toys as germs

hope dd2 doesnt get what dd1 has had.x

carrotsandcelery · 30/03/2012 16:25

Sorry to hear that little flyers are poorly Sad

I am still not right either. I am ok but not brilliant iykwim. I feel a better now I have finally eaten though.

I have to get the house beautiful for a family gathering tomorrow and I have had my eye off the ball the last 2 days due to feeling horrid. What energy I did have was spent on the dcs.

carrotsandcelery · 30/03/2012 19:47

Hello again. We are back in again.

Dd got the all clear from the second opinion doctor too so that is a relief.

I need to clean out guinea pigs and do some tidying up and dusting and bake a cake.

I don't know if I can summon it.

I might just take a bit of time tomorrow and do it then. [shattered]

Scout19075 · 30/03/2012 20:01

Glad DD is alright, carrots.

carrotsandcelery · 30/03/2012 20:17

Thanks Scout - me too. I thought she would be but there is always that little doubt at the back of your mind.

Scout19075 · 30/03/2012 21:02

Yes. Toddler's only 29 months and already I know that feeling all too well, carrots.
