morning all

dp stayed over last night and ive had kids leaping all over the bed since 5.15 as he thinks its lovely to see them all happy first thing in the morning

liveinazoo · 23/03/2012 06:14

oooh and bessie i watched it

i only got halfway through mind as it made me feel very uncomfortable the way everyone seem to treat the hoarder in trivial kind of way when she obviously had issuesSad

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/03/2012 06:42

Morning all,

I am getting around a bit better this morning so the pain killers must be working I guess. Smile I'm hoping I might be able to get a bit more done today.

Zoo Sad for you about the kids jumping on your bed so early. Are you taking anything to help your back?
I love the sound of Cherry cakes, MMMmmmm

I got up at 4.00am cause my back hurt so much, so I had a Paracetamol and went back to bed at 5.00, slept for an hour then DD has just woke us up. She is now kicking off cause she wants a dvd on and I said no.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/03/2012 06:59

Scout just noticed you were offering chocolate, is there any left??? Grin.

Just noticed the time so I better start getting breakfast sorted. I can hopefully help DH getting the DC to school/nursery today but will let him do anything that involves lifting/bending (mainly DD related).

bessie26 · 23/03/2012 07:11

cats please be careful to not overdo it today, remember the pills are masking the pain

Scout19075 · 23/03/2012 07:49

Always chocolate available, cats. I'm American and we're all gluttens, don't you know? Wink Grin

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 09:46

Morning everyone.

Cats slow and steady please. bessie is right, meds will mask the pain, which is why I didn't take before riding yesterday as I wouldn't get any warning signs. Baby babys steps today please!

I missed the programme last night as I had lots of silly bits of running in and out to do. I missed my tea as well and was ravenous all night Shock but had a lovely night out with friends.

Today is operation party prep! Eeeek!

First job is shopping.

I will need lots of booting and poking please when I get back as I would like to do as much of it as I can today and have energy to enjoy tomorrow (party).

I am much less achey today so hopefully whatever I was fighting has been fought.

I missed the programme last night and forgot to tape it but will endeavour to catch up online. Were there any good tips? Or was it just gawping at some poor soul with mental health problems?

Hi all, I will try and take it easy. I am still walking slower than normal but we have just been to do the food shopping, DH pushed the trolley round and did all the lifting. I am just chilling out now for a while with a Brew. DH said he will do the nursery and school run. I just hope I am getting better by Monday cause he is back to work then.

How are you getting on carrots?

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 12:40

Hello again. I am a bit Shock by how much money I have spent in Costco and Tesco getting the bits and bobs for the party. I thought I was keeping it really simple this year too.

I have written the list of what needs done to prepare for tomorrow and it is not too bad if everyone chips in. A lot of it can't be done until tomorrow morning or I will have to do it again by then iykwim.

What I may need is a boot to make me do what I CAN do now before school pick up.

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 12:58

I am off to attempt to cross off as much as I can from my list.

Anyone want to 15 min buddy with me? I will aim to check back in at 1.15 unless I am on an absolute roll and daren't risk stopping.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/03/2012 13:15

I am just stopping to have a late lunch, I got sidetracked helping DD with some gluing and sticking.

liveinazoo · 23/03/2012 13:20

not much flying sadly
dp is going home saturday evening and i will need a monumental kick up the pants to regroup and get back to routine afterSad

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 13:32

Hello you two. I overan.

Ta das:

kitchen windowsill decluttered and dusted

That is a good start!

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 13:44

ta da:

coffee table decluttered
stool decluttered
coffee table scrubbed (is dying and even clean looks awful)
stool scrubbed
sofa wiped over
kitchen table partially decluttered

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 13:44

It is amazing what you can do in 45 mins when you get going!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/03/2012 13:46

Well done on your work! Smile.

Not much I can do here but was trying to sort some of my paperwork before lunch. I am having to ask DH to do some of my usual jobs for now and just trying to ignore anything that's not urgent. Wink

I must have my tablet next before I forget.

What are you planning for this afternoon?

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 13:53

Ooops! I have ta daed in the wrong thread!

I have to deal with the clothes airer and then pick up the dcs. We are going up to the stables then home to work on homework projects and tidying up upstairs. It could be painful!!! Shock

What about you Cats?

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/03/2012 14:16

There are lots of jobs that could be done but I better stick to not much so my list will have to be something like this:

Sticking and gluing with DD
colouring in
washing up/drying up
paperwork

Really I would like to do hoovering and sorting the washing on the airer which has now backlogged but the hoovering is out for now. Might try and put away some dry washing later.

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 14:30

I keep thinking of things to add to my to do list.

I do think that this is easier than it might have been though if I was starting from scratch. Previously I would have been grabbing everything and shoving it in a bag in the study. Now things are being put away much more regularly so there is not so much to tackle so I am not freaked out.

That's all down to you lot and these threads making me keep going and making me keep on top of it all Thanks everyone Grin

CatsSleepAnywhere · 23/03/2012 16:35

I have had to stop. I did a bit of paperwork sorting earlier and just tried to do a bit of drying up in the kitchen but my back is starting to ache again so it's time for another painkiller and a sit down.

Carrots I would also like to say Thanks to all on these threads, you are all very good putting up with me when I have a whinge and you offer good support and advice. Thanks

liveinazoo · 23/03/2012 18:09

ive just gone to start my dinner...dp didnt shut the freezerproperly at lunchtime and the contents in state defrost....im really funny bout using stuff once thawed so destination dustbin for all of itSad

rant over.carry on as you were

bessie26 · 23/03/2012 22:37

DH once stroppily carefully placed some wood next to the freezer in the garage, which somehow slipped Hmm and managed to knock the switch on the plug socket the freezer was plugged into off. I remember what a lovely summers afternoon I spent (pg) emptying the manky defrosted meat left over from a BBQ

CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/03/2012 05:31

Morning all, I am up early (5) after a disturbed night. DD kept waking us up cause she has another cough/cold and her eczema seems to be bothering her lately Sad.

On a more positive note though, I seem to be able to move around a bit better this morning so hoping I can start getting a bit back to normal.Smile I will still take things slow.

What are you all up to today?

carrotsandcelery · 24/03/2012 10:32

Morning everyone!

I found ds watching tv in the kitchen at 4.30 this morning and have been more or less awake since then. Not the best plan when you have a group of girls to take care of overnight Shock

We have been doing all the cleaning that can't be done until the last minute.

Poor ds has been abandoned to the lap top which I feel a bit guilty about but he is going to my dparents and will be interacted with for hours there so I suppose it will balance out Hmm
