Dlamis · 23/02/2012 17:33

bessie - i felt like that over the weekend when my parents were here, like I completely let the flying slip, but then realised I was doing loads on autopilot. Flylady does say it takes for zoo if you still need it. Bean and pesto stew sounds yummy.

for Scout.

liveinazoo · 23/02/2012 17:42

dlamis you showed up with that stick at a good time...i still havent started dinner and chaos is kicking off here which i suspect is cos theyre hungry and food is late

bessie26 · 23/02/2012 18:09

Peanut Butter and Jam Grin

Scout19075 · 23/02/2012 19:07

What's for dinner: I put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker this morning while the drugs were working. Just some chicken, potatoes, carrots, onion, peas and casserole mix/stock. I'm not sure I'm hungry but will go and serve myself some in a little bit (MrScout not due home for a while).

carrotsandcelery · 23/02/2012 19:49

((((hugs)))) Scout I hope you have made it through the bedtime routine Scout. It's not easy when you are ill and on your own.

bessie Peanut butter and iceberg lettuce is also delicious (with a tiny dollop of mayo as well). Yum!

I felt like I hadn't done anything today as well but realised I also have an automatic routine now that I wouldn't consider not doing eg dw, wm, hang laundry, fold laundry, worktops... It does make a difference, even if you don't get to missions and hot spots etc every day. I am also tidying the bathrooms as I potter around without really thinking about it.

I need to add hoovering to my daily routine now (thanks to Twilight).

I have done my basic routines and a second load of washing.

Dinner was pasta, tomato and basil sauce, quorn sausages and a little grated cheese. It was delicious!

Dlamis · 23/02/2012 20:16

Everyones dinners sound delicious tonight.

We are having a pasta salad that dh made up.
Pasta
Cherry tomatoes
Cucumber
Peppers
Mozzeralla cheese
All chopped up and mixed together with some tomato pesto/paste, and finely chopped up sundried tomatoes and fresh chopped basil.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 23/02/2012 20:16

I'm gonna go and watch some telly now so will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Enjoy your evening and sleep well BC.

Dlamis your meal sounds lovely as well.

I still have a load of washing to hang up and then I will be relaxing for the evening.

Scout19075 · 23/02/2012 21:05

I'm in bed with my computer. MrScout is downstairs eating his dinner. I won't bother washing up until the morning.

I feel better in the mornings and get worse as the day progresses. My ears feel like they're on fire (hot to the touch, not hurting inside).

Toddler has been lovely. I think he knows I'm poorly and he's not had any meltdowns, complaints, etc. I've been getting lots of cuddles.

carrotsandcelery · 23/02/2012 21:10

Your TS sounds a lovely wee boy Scout. I hope you get a good night's sleep and feel revived tomorrow.

I get burny cheeks when I am exhausted. I think it is a sign to call it a day and snooze.

carrotsandcelery · 23/02/2012 21:16

Have any of you seen this meal planner?

Someone linked to it on another thread.

It suggests how you can make things veggie too, although there is a high incidence of quorn and I am trying to cut our quorn consumption. Nevertheless, it looks useful.

Scout19075 · 23/02/2012 21:25

carrots, Blush I think Toddler is lovely. I know I'm partial. He does have a wonderfully laid-back, go-with-the-flow personality (like MrScout) but when he decides to melt down everyone in town knows it (again, like MrScout). TS was born a wise old soul and even when he was new he was "sensible" and easy going (especially once we got his silent reflux sorted). He seems to know what to do and what not to do (a lot of modelling is done in our house and not much shouting "NO!").

I'm waiting for the pain pills to kick in so I can comfortably go to sleep.

bessie26 · 23/02/2012 22:11

scout TS sounds great! Grin

carrots just had a quick look at the meal plan thing - are all the "veggie options" just to use a meat substitute? (boooooooooring!)

In the comments someone mentioned this Change4Life site & that looks pretty good - you can swap meals you don't like the look of & it will write your shopping list for you.

I have done all my chores & had a bath. Might have to pop downstairs & get some chocolate (purely medicinal you understand Grin)

carrotsandcelery · 23/02/2012 22:29

I only looked through the first week and there was one where you swapped salmon for feta cheese and lemon which appealed Grin The "use quorn instead" I might have come up with myself Hmm

I am too tired to look at the other link but will (eventually) tomorrow. Wink

carrotsandcelery · 24/02/2012 08:32

Morning everyone! I hope everyone is ok. I am not usually the first one on.

I am off to the psychologist today for ds. Dh announced half an hour ago that he had too much on at work and couldn't come. I am having a minor wibble now but am sure I will be fine when I get going.

Flying is suspended until I get back.

I hope everyone feels better and is taking it easy.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 24/02/2012 09:16
