Oh we are on page 2 already!!! Shock

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 12:32

I'm having a pause. Is anyone around?

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 12:38

Hi Scout I have just had my second bowl of soup. Yum!

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 12:39

We are off to make a Valentines cake (ds and me). I am sure I have a heart shaped cake tin but only a small one.

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 12:41

I've just had lunch and am having a break. I'll go get dressed in a minute then take stuff to the bins and the car.

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 12:43

My phone won't stop ringing. When the dcs are at school it hardly ever rings. I think I have become dd's social secretary and chauffeur. I am delighted though as she has been having a tough time socially so it is great to see her busy.

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 12:44

Decluttering seems to be on the back burner while ds is around. He has a new audio cd (arrived in the post this morning) and it is on its second playing already. He loves them. Grin

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 12:46

they say where theres muck theres money!Grin

well that went well not

we all trundled up to rooms,me being upbeat lets do this and then play blahblahblah

ds had super tantrum over moving his dino robot..

dd2 started a screaming match over going under her bed.

dd3(4yo)wandered round get toys OUT

i ran to my room and got into bed and cried myself to sleep......

so now ive come downstairs feeling like shit wishing it was bedtime

sorry for ranting

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 12:48

carrots Grin thought you as a social secretary

poor twilight...

bessie26 · 14/02/2012 12:51

I'm just catching up while DD2 & I have our lunch. We both had a looong sleep this morning, so not much been done, but her cold seems alot better & the taps are very shiney Grin

I am always available to help declutter chocolates!

DH & I don't usually buy each other anything, just share a box of chocs, but this morning he got me a rose & also a voucher for that spa place i went to last month - he says it's part valentines & partly to make up for going away for work next week!

So as I didn't actually get him anything other than a card Blush I think I should make some choc biccies or muffins? - I'd better go google some recipes as we will probably need to pop to the shop to buy ingredients.

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 13:01

I'm watching One Born Every Minute and I'm blubbering.

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 13:01

aw thats lovely bessie

when we were at the shops a young girl serving had mahoosive delivery roses and an array white flowers in a beautiful square porcelain tub

she went scarlet and we all went aaaah!

what for dinner?

i havent really got a good plan going on this week, just a cupboard basics so lots

dp meant to be coming tonight so i think we'll have roasted root veggies mixed with linda mcartney sausages(on offer at co op so giving a whirl)
maybe a bit rice with that?

soups heating up.feel the need for some cheese on toast with that!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 14/02/2012 13:06

Zoo Shall we encourage each other??

My kitchen look like a tip again so I'm hoping to set timer and do a bit.

Do you feel like having a meet up at a certain time?

We are battling against the tide when the DC are home.

I'm quite unmotivated today so it would help me out.

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 13:19

Awwww bessie - that is really thoughtful of him.

Dh has texted a happy anniversary/happy valentine message and asked if I am awake yet Hmm (I was up and in the shower when he left)

Heart shaped cake is in the oven. It is tiny so we may have to make 2

zoo sounds like you need a bosie

We all shout like fish wifies now and again. It doesn't do the dcs any harm to know there is a limit to how much you can take. Just say you are sorry and invite them to tell you they are sorry for how they behaved too. Then begin again. You can do it.

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 13:22

I love the idea of receiving flowers at work although when I worked it would have been mortifying (secondary teacher - they boys would have had a field day! It was bad enough when dh and I got engaged. All the girls got excited about the ring and all the boys teased me mercilessly )

I wonder if I should have sent dh some at work just for a laugh?

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 13:22

sorries said.love in all round
(never heard a bosie...but i do them all the timeGrin)
thanks carrots
blackcat i was going to suggest 15-20mins so havent got time put it off and play on here instead!

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 13:23

Can someone try a pointy stick with ds who is STILL in his pjs please?

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 13:24

zoo I think "bosie" might be a doric (local) word. It just means a hug into a bosom Grin

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 13:25

Scout which OBEM? I have had to stop watching them if I need to go anywhere public as I bawl my eyes out every time the baby is delivered. The recent one where the baby got stuck was terrifying. I was howling.

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 13:32

i love that show.was on yesterday channel in middle of the night-old series but love it.remindsme days my lot were born andthey were vey happy days

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 13:33

Yes, that's the one carrots. I sat here sobbing. I can't watch them with MrScout -- he doesn't understand why I blubber.

bessie26 · 14/02/2012 13:40

I have only ever seen one episode. I was crying almost straight away. DH just kept looking at me as though I was mad.

My NCT friends were talking yesterday about the big baby that got stuck, I was welling up just hearing about it.

Off to the shop with DD2 to buy some eggs to make choc muffins for DH. I'm aiming to have the house smelling all chocolatly & them all warm & ready to eat when he walks through the door. Surely that's better than me buying him something? Grin
