Morning Zoo and Bessie,

I started to do a post on the old thread but it had gone "Poof" so though I'd start a new one (hope you don't mind Carrots)

BlackCatTryingToFly · 14/02/2012 08:49

Thanks Scout.

We are only just having breakfast in the Black household. If it was a normal day we would have been out the door by now. I like holidays Hmm but find it hard to get back in the routine afterwards.

I know Boots will take back unused prescriptions to dispose of properly. Does anyone know if they'll take unused over-the-counter (non-prescription) ones as well?

BlackCatTryingToFly · 14/02/2012 09:39

Yes I think they probably would Scout.

Anyone got a pointy stick handy?

Dlamis · 14/02/2012 09:57

Aha here you are. I've spent ages refreshing the other thread wondering where everyone was before i realised it was full

Morning

We don't do valentines day either but I will be getting the kids to make hand print hearts for dh later.

Finally managed to sleep in my own bed last night after clearing all the clutter from the room re-arrangement. Just got to do under the bed now which could take a while then I can get the posher bedding out and me and dh can finally have the lovely tidy child free bedroom we've dreamed of for years

Have made a good start with the early morning routine (dh restored the Home Routines App for me bless him) but might not get much else done as the ds's are working there way through all their games and I have to avoid housework play too :o

bessie26 · 14/02/2012 10:05

Morning! I got confused by the old thread not accepting new posts too!

I was up 4-5ish coughing, then DD2 was up at 6 (got herself stuck in the corner of her cot), so I'm going back to bed for a quick snooze.

I am washed & dressed. I know what's for lunch. The WM is on, and I've given the bathroom taps a bit of a scrub & they are now soaking in descaler.

scout I hope your plan involves decluttering those chocolates?! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 10:21

Morning everyone! I found you. Thanks for the pm BlackCat or I would have taken a lot longer to figure out what was going on . The new thread title is a lot clearer than my previous one which seemed to cause all sorts of confusion Grin

Scout thanks for the fancy chocs. Lucky girl!

I think Dh forgot (fair enough at that ungodly hour of the morning) but I hope he remembers tonight as Valentines is also the the anniversary of when we met Shock He probably thinks I forgot as I only mentioned it when I was in the shower and he came to say goodbye. I have a card hidden away though and I am excited like a little girl. When did I become such a saddo?

I am planning to make a nice tea and bake a cake for all of us to celebrate. Dd may well have a friend for a sleepover but hopefully that won't spoil it.

Ta Das:

Showered and dressed
Wm on
Dw on
Worktops cleaned
Microwave cleaned
Appt made a vet for Twilight's unhappy ears
Table decluttered a bit
Many, many phonecalls answered - none exciting so far
Fed ds who wouldn't eat breakfast earlier as he had scoffed the packet of choc digestives at 4am or similar Shock

I am having Brew hot choc and a wee rest before round two and some playing with ds too.

I have had to write a list as I have so many little bits and bobs to do today I am scared I forget something.

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 10:39

twlights unhappy ears?Confusedcare to elaborate carrots?

we went for more fruit(since sunday we have somehow eaten through 2 bunches bananas, bag apples, punnet grapes!Shock)
and to pay some bills at the bank(was quiet as tink lots mums not out and about as early as us)

back and refuelled on apples and milk we ready to fly

today i am working on the incentive methisd

we are starting in their rooms with me checking for cobwebs/them under bed clearing.then its sorting their bookcases while i do windows

valentine crafts follow

will pop back half hour or so when they will hopefuly be crafting and bedrooms are done

liveinazoo · 14/02/2012 10:40

black cat if you still want it --->

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 10:44

Twilight won't let the groomer near one ear. She had a quick peek and it is full of wax etc. She tried to clean it but there was too much and she was too upset so we are off to see the Vet to get drops, possibly antibiotics as she keeps shaking her head. Poor Twilight Sad

Dd also seems to have hidden Twilight's grooming brush. I have no idea where else to look and am a bit Angry as it has a specific place. Now she is unbrushed and I don't want her to go back to the mess she was in when we got her. Sad

Right, I am off to see if ds wants to help make a cake for Valentine Dessert Grin

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 10:47

Oh yes, I plan on decluttering some chocolate today. Who'd like to help?

Ta Das:
TS breakfasted
two carrier bags of recycling to front door (waiting for trip outside to bin)
charity donation bag re-bagged (original bag had a broken handle -- no way could I carry ackward bag w/no handle and manage Toddler in town)
45 minutes declutter "family bathroom" (it became a pit after tossing stuff in there for anticipation of plumber, as well as being the storage place for all of the bags of outgrown clothes, clothes to grow into, etc)
played telephone with Toddler
played catch/boing-ball with Toddler
menu planned through until Saturday
wrote shopping list

While decluttering the bathroom I've found a few more bits & pieces to give to pregnant friend, managed to fill a kitchen bin bag with clothes for the clothes recycling box and half filled a bag of "special" clothes that I'd rather find a home for than donate them to charity. I've also realized that my "keepsake" box for Toddler things is too small so will need to upgrade to a longer under-the-bed one. In the grand scheme of things I don't think I've saved loads but things are bulky (like the Bear Suit).

When Toddler goes for his nap I'll go back into the kitchen -- I'm going to clean out the fridge and start attacking the drawers and cabinets. This way I'm still flying but I'm not interferring with MrScout's "stuff".

BlackCatTryingToFly · 14/02/2012 11:08

I would love to help with the chocolates. DH is at work so no valentines presents yet.Hmm

I really must move of this chair, not even dressed yet.Blush

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 11:16

Toddler just dumped the whole box of Duplo over himself Shock and went "oh dear, I stuck." Grin It made a lovely crashing noise and now he's "stirring" them for maximum sound effect.

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 11:16

BlackCat, we're not dressed yet, either, so don't worry. You can still be productive/active in your 'jamas. Sometimes that's when I find I achieve the most. Hmm

Scout19075 · 14/02/2012 11:19

Oh the bottom of that duplo box is yucky -- I think it's going to have a sudsy soak before we clean up the toys later. Oh, and we found a Euro 10cent coin in it. I'm rich (not!).

carrotsandcelery · 14/02/2012 11:36

Ds is still in his pjs too. I have a sore back so showered early so I could run the hot shower over it for a while to ease it off. I think it is from the funny angle I was in to hold Twilight still at the groomers so it should pass if I keep moving.

My dparents bought ds a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt yesterday which is all laid out for him to get dressed in but he is scared he gets something down it (he was eating weetabix and is now playing with modelling clay.

I have made goulash for tea and butternut squash soup for lunch. The goulash is in the slow cooker and the butternut squash soup is just simmering before I blend it.

I am being called to model clay just now though. I will be back later Grin
