Have had breakfast but not dressed yet. I would like to aim to be dressed before 10.00am this week. don't want to get too lazy as the DC are only off for one week.
I am on my second Brew.

Anyone got a pointy stick handy ?

BlackCatTryingToFly · 13/02/2012 09:09

Where is everyone ? --feels lonely--

My Ta Da's so far:
(done)
breakfast for all
get dressed
and made beds

How are you all?
What do you have planned for today?

Scout19075 · 13/02/2012 09:29

Morning BlackCat!

I'm still at the inlaws. I'm gathering everything to be loaded into the car (including bags of stuff for the charity shop that I decluttered from MrScout's & my room here). When my MiL returns from her appointment I'm going into the town center (toddler-free!) to do some bank business and to donate said bag/s of stuff to the charity shop (no point in taking it home for the shops up there when the ones here will do the same thing AND I'll be able to take more since I'll be toddler free).

Toddler & I will have an early lunch here and head home just after to be home in time for the plumber. I hope it's not too frigid in my house and that nothing's frozen.

Dlamis · 13/02/2012 11:28

Morning ladies.

We had a very unproductive weekend as it was ds2's birthday and we took them to the Natural History Museum and Science Museum instead of him having a party. They enjoyed it but were quite tired by 2 o'clock, and shattered by the time we came home. They are still showing the effects today so we are having a quiet day in nothing to do with me having a CBA day

Welcome trinty. I remember you from flying threads a few years ago (i had a different username then). I stopped the emails along time ago. I spend more time deleting them than reading.

I'm already old! Wink:o

bessie How are you. Hope blackcats snuggly blanket and lemsip helped abit.

zoo - I like the idea of decluttering by proxy! Might as well make use of the kids while they are here :o. :Look after yourself

carrots I sob at Call the Midwife too, despite being determined not to. I haven't seen yesterdays yet. I usually watch it on I-player when dh and the kids are out, might be waiting a while this week. Will I need more tissues?

Scout - sounds like you had quite a productive de-cluttering weekend :). Hope you get the heating fix today.

For those who have vitamins/tablets/medication etc, I have got "Take medication" in my Early Morning Routine list (on the Home Routine App) otherwise I completely forget which is not a good idea! And one of the ds's has deleted the Home Routine Apps from the ipod so I am not a happy bunny grrrrr.

Tada's today,
Got up, dressed
Swished and swiped
Made bed
Dishwasher and other washing up done
Shiny sink
Washing in, and out again

Todo
Ironing
Finish clearing bed so i can actually get in it tonight

BlackCatTryingToFly · 13/02/2012 11:41

. We are all dressed, Yay! this is progress with it being half term. DS usually like to stay in pyjama's when we are on half term and not going out. He has even gone out to play. Shock

I need to wash up/ sort my kitchen.
In need of a pointy stick!!
--where's my cleaning buddy?--

DS is back in.

carrotsandcelery · 13/02/2012 12:56

-----> Go BlackCat

Dlamis you definitely need tissues and not to be going anywhere public soon after.

bessie I knew it re dh. I hope you are feeling better.

Hello everyone! I am having a bit of a manic day. Things keep happening everytime I catch up with the thread.

Ds and I are off to pick up my dparents and head to the cinema - should have left 10 mins ago infact but he eats SOOOO slowly Shock

I will report back in later but will be skiving off for the afternoon Grin

I hope everyone will make up for me and get lots of good work done (or have a fab time mucking about with their dcs)

We have got cabin fever so going to escape for a bit!
Will pop back later. Smile

Scout19075 · 13/02/2012 16:47

I am going to cry.

The boiler is going to need parts then a repair and service (and it still might not be fixed). And the pipe to the outside tap burst over the weekend even the the stopcock was in the off position (must not have been tight enough).

Even though the boiler/heater has been set to 22 to get it going/warm again I think it's just gone off.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 13/02/2012 16:48

Scout Sad about your boiler.

I'm off to sort dinner now, will try to pop back in later.

bessie26 · 13/02/2012 19:08

Hi!

scout sorry to hear about your boiler Sad have any of your friends got portable heating (oil filled radiators etc) you could borrow until it's properly sorted?

dlamis I am also a saddo also have a reminder on my phone for my morning meds, will have to start using it for the evening too.

We've had a very busy day here - out swimming this morning, then 7 children came round to play this arvo - so am grateful once again to fly lady that I am no longer living in CHAOS! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 13/02/2012 20:11

Evening everyone!

Scout deep sympathy about the boiler. This happened to us last year when it was minus 20 and it was horrid. If you have the energy to boil water in all the pots and kettles etc that you have then filling the bath with roasting hot water heats the house a surprising amount.

I second borrowing as many oil filled plug in radiators as you can to warm your house up - just watch that they aren't where TS could hurt himself on them or where they could start a slow smoulder.

We did a lot of dancing, hot chocolates and snuggling up all together under blankets.

Oi zoo less of the sad old git thank you very much Grin Grin Sounds like the sort of day that would wipe most people out. I hope you have a good snooze.

bessie glad you survived the house invasion without Blush Flylady really helps on this front.

BlackCat where did you go to burn off the cabin fever? I hope dd is ok now. Sounds challenging Shock

I have had a busy day and have done literally nothing in the house. I took dd to her friend's for a sleepover and stayed for a Brew then walked the dogs with ds and then had a speed lunch before whizzing over to my dparents and taking us all into the big smoke to the cinema. Ddad took us out for tea in Pizza Hut so we are well fed and ds was struggling to stay awake on the journey home. It doesn't sound like much but I would happily go to my bed now. I will stay up and chat to dh a wee bit though.

Scout19075 · 13/02/2012 20:11

The boiler is still churning out heat (whew!) but I am so cold. It's going to take a while for the chill to leave the house. I took Toddler out to a local restaurant for his dinner because I couldn't just have him sitting in the cold house. So I got him fed (I treated myself to a starter while he had his main -- I wasn't very hungry) and we came home and watched some Peppa Pig while cuddled on the sofa and he's gone to bed. I have him wrapped up nice and snuggly. If I didn't have to sort out dinner for MrScout and I I think I'd go to bed.

I definitely life in chaos and I hate it. I came home hating walking through the door. I had such hopes for the weekend and our plan of attack and it all went to pot over the stupid boiler. I want to cry.

carrotsandcelery · 13/02/2012 20:30

Awww Scout you will get there. You have made such progress already.

OP posts:
bessie26 · 13/02/2012 21:27

carrots is right scout you will get there - slowly slowly catchy monkey!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 13/02/2012 21:29

Evening all,

Carrots We went over to mums house and went for a walk with her. The weather was a bit warmer today so we didn't need our gloves and hats etc.

carrotsandcelery · 13/02/2012 21:40

That sounds lovely BlackCat.

Dh is watching yet another scary programme [eeeek emoticon] so I am only half watching. I should go and load the dw and shine the sink but I know I won't sleep if I do.

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 13/02/2012 22:31
