That's great Scout. I am impressed by the quick service.

I have been sobbing my way through One Born Every Minute.

Dh ordered a bit of a rest. He has taken dd out with him and ds is with his dGrandad. It is very strange being alone in the afternoon.

Me too, carrots. Something about him reminded me of my baby brother, who is a lovely boy.

Won't make it into town for donation delivery and drying excursion now given that Toddler's starting to ask for food/dinner. MrScout's taking pictures at a Guiding event tonight so won't be home until late. Guess I'll have to do it in the morning, though will have the added bonus of being able to do it without Toddler.

Am going to put off clothes sorting and other jobs until TS goes to bed for the night.

I'm very impressed with Black's and zoo's races time challenges with each other.

Just popping back in, glad you've got your boiler fixed scout & am also impressed by blackCat & zoo's races!

I have

  • drunk 2 mugs of hot chocolate & one tea
  • made tea for DDs

I need to

  • choose what I want from the takeaway menu
  • have a shower & wash my hair while DH is out getting it
  • shine sink
  • put laundry on
  • slob on sofa with DH & drink wine
  • don't stay up too late
cairnterrier · 27/01/2012 19:24

Evening everyone

Having a reasonably productive day here but am put to shame by carrotsandcelery's efforts :(

Am watching with interest Blackcat and zoo's race - who will reach the finish line first?!

Right drink first, then ring DM and sort out kitchen.

Scout19075 · 27/01/2012 19:46

Started sorting out the bags of TS's clothes but then stopped to make my dinner. Since I had more-or-less bagged everything by size I just had to go through and see what was nice enough to give to a friend. Do you think it would be too much to give her a bag of newborn to 12 months or would you be overwhelmed by that?

BlackCatTryingToFly · 27/01/2012 20:12

Hi all,
bessie and cairn
They are not races against each other but are meant to stop either one of us just sitting there procrastinating. Wink
Think of it as encouraging each other! If anyone ever feels they want to join us feel free.

Scout19075 · 27/01/2012 21:04

Have just gone through and started bagging clothes for friend. Want to stop and watch American Idol what can I do in front of the tv? (Please don't say iron the ironing board is in the kitchen.)

bessie26 · 27/01/2012 22:20

Drink wine?

Neenook · 27/01/2012 23:42

Evening, sorry it's so late - Ds's are in village panto this weekend (and next) so have been painting whiskers on kittens all night...

I've had a really productive day, am really motivated by the choccy biscuits you all.

Tah Dahs...

Found the sink and shined it

Several loads of washing/drying/putting away - actually I think my main problem is the washing. I seem to have spent most of the day clearing piles of clothes waiting to be washed/ironed/put away. If I could get into a 'washing routine ' I'm sure I'd be at least 50% of the way there Blush

Decluttered cupboard under the stairs and bathroom cabinet

Took 2 bags of grown out of clothes to Red Cross

Cooked dinner

Did weekly shop

Feel a bit 'swotty new girl' actually Grin

bessie26 · 28/01/2012 07:54

Morning!

Babystep 28 - Look after yourself! Drink your water & get your rest!

Neenok 1 load everyday!

Had to wake the baby & the toddler up at 730! however, the baby & I both have a bit of a snotty nose, so tonight could be very different!

Neenook · 28/01/2012 11:32
BlackCatTryingToFly · 28/01/2012 11:56

Hi Neenook Today is family funday

I have been doing a few jobs this morning but will probably take the rest of the day off.

carrotsandcelery · 28/01/2012 11:58

Neenook you are definitely the swotty new girl Grin I love it.

The washing is a big part of my problem too but I agree with bessie - one load a day seems to be the answer. I fold and put away or iron and put away the day before's load and hang the next one. It seems to be keeping it under control and I have had some days when there isn't enough to wash. On those days I add a bed or similar to keep it all ticking over.

The declutter every day makes a big difference if you can make yourself do it. It struggle with this one sometimes but it does feel great when I do it.

We were out last night and out this morning so I am just getting going. I am obviously washed and dressed though. It is a start Grin Dh appears to be decluttering the kitchen table so I will slope off and find another area and hope he keeps doing that one. First stop is getting a load of washing on though.

bessie water is a good one. I have got into the habit of drinking an awful lot of tea. I think it is because it is cold. I need to alternate tea and water as the water makes you feel more energetic.

How is everyone else?
