--->

above is just for you carrots,

meal plan for tonight gone to pot, DS will only eat Pom Bears and some hummus wrap, everything else has been refused. He sounds so stuffed though and think he's developing a temp. Might be a long night ahead.

carrotsandcelery · 28/01/2012 17:07

Oh dear. All these poorly little people Sad The person who invents a cure for the cold will be very popular.

I have managed to get off the sofa long enough to make a curry and to declutter the veg drawer. I have put a bit of extra ginger in it to ward off the lurgies.

DD2 is a snot monster too Sad she's not had a decent milk feed all day, but thankfully the cold hasn't affected her appetite as she has stuffed her face at every meal!

I've got the Karvol vapourisor on and drops of decongestant oil around her bed. FX she sleeps ok for the babysitters!

bessie26 · 28/01/2012 19:00

Curry sounds lovely carrots - we're going to a Chinese restaurant tonight so hope to have some spicy sechuan (sp?) tofu and some mock duck

cairnterrier · 28/01/2012 19:01

bessie26 hope your DD feels better soon, it's awful when they're ill. DS seems to have gone to bed okay so fx for tonight. Are you going somewhere nice?

Managed to swish and swipe the main bathroom, all apart from the bath which I will do once I get out of it.
WM on

To dos:
swish and swipe our bathroom and remove the Noah's ark from it (don't ask)
unload DW and restack
hang out washing
restrain self from eating all of Toblerone and thus feeling sick.

carrotsandcelery · 28/01/2012 19:25

I will happily help with the toblerone cairn Grin

Is this dh's birthday night out bessie? I hope you have a lovely evening.

I don't have much left to do. Final things in the dw, hang a load of washing and put the dcs to bed and chill out. I am glad of an evening in tbh. Driving home last night I was so tired I felt drunk.

Infact, I have some Crabbies... hmmmmm!

Scout19075 · 28/01/2012 19:43

I have an overly tired Toddler who's late for his bed and a MrScout who doesn't always read Toddler's cues correctly. I am frustrated and had to walk away before I wound them up. I'm going to break into the Reese's stash from home -- would anyone like some?

carrotsandcelery · 28/01/2012 19:45

I feel like the overly tired toddler and I am 39 Shock

I am off to have a snuggle with my ds and read him his bedtime story etc.

I will help with your goodies too Scout. I am always happy to oblige. Can you save me one until I come back downstairs and have my beverage of choice in hand too please?

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 28/01/2012 19:54

Can do, carrots.

I, too, am that overly tired toddler.

Ooohhh, bessie, I'm envious of your Chinese restaurant. We haven't had chinese take-away since the great food poisoning incident of 2011. I miss chinese but am too afraid to have it now.

This coincided with the great bad yogurt of 2011 so one vomitting toddler (who had never properly vomitted before then so that added to the joy) and MrScout's nan's funeral. It's not fun going to a funeral and luncheon when you have food poisoning.

cairn You've been busy!

carrotsandcelery · 28/01/2012 20:23

Oh Scout that sounds like a horrid experience from beginning to end. Sad

Cairn time to put those feet up and have a breather (and a triangle of toblerone).

That is ds in bed. fx!

I have hung the washing and dh has loaded the rest of the dw and made a Brew so it would be rude not to sit down and drink it really.

Toffee anyone?

OP posts:
cairnterrier · 28/01/2012 20:28

yes please to the Reeses and toffees. Have a real sweet craving going on tonight for some reason. Am willing to swap for Toblerone.

Hope you have another good night tonight carrots and minicarrots

Scout I know what you mean about food putting you off. I got norovirus the night after making my favourite pasta dish and now even the thought of it makes me feel sick, even though it was nothing to do with the food.

DS ended up watching a lot of Cbeebies when I had morning sickness and interestingly I've now found that watching the titles to some programmes (Me Too, Something Special,) makes me feel nauseous, just by association! Yet more proof that our bodies are weird and wonderful things.

Scout19075 · 28/01/2012 20:54

I should be doing the kitchen instead of watching The Talent Show Story. However, I am talking to my friend in Canada so am not being a complete sloth.

cairnterrier · 28/01/2012 20:58

Okay, have moved on from chocolate and am now eating cheese - 4 delicious Babybels down the line am wondering what to move onto next......

Scout19075 · 28/01/2012 20:59

Oh dear.... police helicoptors are out. They've already caught the guy that escaped from West Suffolk Hospital (not far from me) so what's up now?!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 28/01/2012 20:59

I am having a chocolate drink but think I will get a Wine next.

carrotsandcelery · 28/01/2012 21:03

cairn ds is 7 and I still feel ill if I hear the title music to Bing and Bong - Masters of the Universe. I can't even look at the box of the video (yes video!!) Bleurgh!

Scout I hope they go away soon. Shock

OP posts:
cairnterrier · 28/01/2012 21:06

Scout - hope everything's okay, didn't realise that they'd caught that chap from the West Suffolk so that's good news.

Right, am now watching Location, Location, Location so waiting for the first ad break so I can unload the DW.

2nd break - load DW

3rd break - unload WM.

4th break - MUST go to bed, am getting v bad at staying awake until silly o'clock messing around.

Scout19075 · 28/01/2012 21:18

Yes, they caught him in Ayrshire. Didn't think he'd still be local.

Neenook · 28/01/2012 23:09

Phew, just got in...

DH in bed already, have thrown some toast and milk at Ds's and have settled them down. Emptied dishwasher, had a big mug of hot choc and some twiglets (oddly yummy combo) and am now off to bed.

Night all Wink

cairnterrier · 29/01/2012 07:26

neenook bessie dirty stop outs the both of yous! Am v Envy of those of you with a social life. Hope you both had a wonderful time Grin

Well we're off and running, DS seems much improved this morning hurrah! I have to admit that I was got out of bed under false pretences - an almighty crash from DSs room and then 'Help, Mummy, help!'. So of course I shot out of bed to find that no, he hadn't climbed over his cot and fallen out, he'd pushed his Thomas the Tank Engine book out between the bars and he couldn't get it back in. So of course he was then pleased that I was up, I needed a wee and it all went downhill (or at least downstairs) from there. So we're now downstairs, drinking Brew and milk respectively and eating fig rolls.

Think swimming is back on for this morning then see how the day pans out from there. What are everyone else's plans?

Fingers crossed that minicarrots had another good night.

bessie26 · 29/01/2012 08:00

Morning! I feel surprisingly good this morning! Perhaps it was all the water I drank last night? Or perhaps a headache will hit mr like a tonne of bricks later?!

Anyway, babystep 29 - look after yourself Grin

Neenook · 29/01/2012 08:55

Morning - also feeling amazingly good this morning! Despite the late night the boys were up at 6.30 although DS1 says he feels 'not right' and has rejected both breakfast and hot choc Shock - must be serious!

So, while they slobbed in front of CITV [sloppy parenting emoticon] I ironed a load of washing and put another load in the machine - think I'm about half way there on the washing front. Then....and this is the miraculous bit....I put said ironing away ShockGrin

Nothing planned for rest of the day except more washing....

BlackCatTryingToFly · 29/01/2012 09:29

Morning all, I am feeling a bit sleepy eyed this morning so will be having another coffee Brew and a shower soon. I was good this morning and also had a vimto drink (don't like plain water) with breakfast.
I need to get the weekly food shopping done today so need to get my shopping list done. DS has a homework project to do still (on going till the end of March Shock) He is a procrastinator so we have to keep on at him. I wouldn't be surprised if this is causing some of my stress!
Not feeling too bad this morning though but think I could be starting with a cold.

How is everyone else?

carrotsandcelery · 29/01/2012 10:24

Neenook Shock That is where I fall down - putting the ironing away. It hangs around all over the place.

BlackCat try blasting yourself some berrocca and iron and you might chase it away.

Ds just presented me with a card he made with a heart on the front and it says, "to mummy I Love you from ds" so I am Grin this morning.

He also slept all night AGAIN! We are scared to get excited as we have been here before but fx we might get somewhere.

I have been awake since about 8am with various visits from dcs and the dog for cuddles/pats but was enjoying my book so stayed snuggled up. I have finished it now so thought it was time for a Brew

Today's plan hasn't really been made yet but it will involve some ironing, cleaning out guinea pigs, washing, having a bath, helping dd with her homework project (snap BlackCat) and some painting with dd. There will be more but I don't know what it is yet Wink
