Morning

Tada's
Got up, dressed
Swished and swiped
Made bed
Got kids off to school
Dishwasher and other washing up done
Shiny sink
2 minute hotspot
5 minute room rescue
15 minute declutter

Did the 15 minute declutter before i even left the bedroom this morning. We had a massive re-arrangement/declutter session with the junk spare room yesterday and loads of stuff is temporarily stuck in our room. I was still on a roll so got stuck in again. :o Dh and ds's think i'm mad.

Got parent helper session at school this pm so will miss the 1 o'clock club.

Scout - lurking dh are a nuisance aren't they. Mine is around today too and it really throws me off. Even if he's squirreled away working i find it distracting.

Glad to hear doggie arrived ok carrots

Tonights dinner is going to be bessie's quorn cottage pie. I've had bessie's pages open for ages. It's about time i got round to doing one of the recipes :o

See you all after school. Fly hard ladies.

Hope Carrots is o.k. Haven't seen her anywhere today.

Our weather is lovely here today. It felt quite warm too.Smile

Scout19075 · 06/02/2012 13:04

ACK! I'm late! Got so wrapped up in sorting out the teaching shelf and washing up forgot to look at the clock. ACK!

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 14:09

couldnt get set go as MN went down-prob nipped off to wash up lunch/mugsGrin

have bin interrupted x4 by phone-3 of the payment protection plan automated bollocksHmm.anyone know how to get rid of your number from their lists?

managed to get all washing up done and put away.thats all mind(shows howmuch was buildingBlush

remembeer reading somewhere on flylady to fill bowl hot soapy water when cooking and lob all pans/pots using straight in and then they be easy to clean while doing rest washing up after eating

also took ages as had ran out scourers/dishcloths....
couldnt be bothered to trail out and waste my hour paying through the nose popping to local co op so used sheet plenty kitchen paper and a bit vim on the potato bake dish...worked with bit elbow grease...

how did every one else do?

Scout19075 · 06/02/2012 14:13

MN ate my post. Confused

Try again.

I'm going to get TS up in a minute to go to Beans. Here are my Ta Das from the cleaning hour:

washed up breakfast, lunch & dinner making dishes
put slow cooker dinner on
poked dinner to make sure chicken was covered in the sauce
topped up MrScout's drink while he was on his conference called
cleared the sofa of clothes
found the sofa (yay!)
sorted out the crafts & toddler activity books on the shelf
organized the rest of Toddler's toys (utilized new boxes)
combined all of TS's craft supplies (paints, brushes, crayons, etc)
flattened boxes/cardboard & bagged it up ready for the tip recycling (on the way to or from Beans)
took out the recycling
checked diaper bag (made sure it was full of emergency clothes, diapers, wipes, snacks, etc)

Do you remember two weeks ago I complained about MrScout going through the recycling bin and pulling out a very "important letter he was waiting for"? Well, I found it on the sofa -- still unopened! Angry I also found a file of his work receipts/paperwork from the autumn. When he's not around I'm going to put these things in his work bag and he can deal with them!

I want to do stuff in the bedroom but MrScout's parked there doing work.

Off to Beans -- be back later!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 06/02/2012 14:16

I had to build a train track for DD Then I did some more washing up/drying up
and fed the cat Also made a drink for DD.

I think I have just over 1 more lot of washing up to do so I will try to do it before school run.

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 14:19

scout youve been very industrious.have fun...

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 14:20

BlackCatTryingToFly · 06/02/2012 14:21

I am a bit worried about Carrots.

Good list Scout

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 14:23

guna do quick hotspot/room rescue to bring front room back to "normal"

i get this flylady approach now.2 days coasting and ive been able to pull it back round in 1day rather than blitzing for eternity getting no where fast!

be around for a 4-4.30 nudge anyone wants to join me then its all systems go making tea and sorting kids!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 06/02/2012 14:35

Glad you'r getting the hang of it (FlyLady) Zoo

I have days where I completely fail on babysteps and other days when I get some done.
Today I am doing well on washing up but not a lot else.
Still it will be a good thing if I can catch up with that!

Not sure if I can be around later. I need to decide "What's for tea".

Off now to do a bit more. Smile

bessie26 · 06/02/2012 15:32

I have just shovelled snow for an hour to clear the drive. I can barely lift a Brew how am I going to lift a (9.8kg) baby? or a (17kg) toddler? Aaarrgh!

Hope poor carrots isn't without power!

bessie26 · 06/02/2012 15:34

Oh, and black I am feeling your pain & grumpiness - i'm having my first period since having DD2

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 16:13

Oh dear, zoo, I hope things soon quiet down for you.

Mmm, chocolate. Thanks Dlamis.

BlackCat, we've had a lot of train track building here today, too. I swear that wooden train set was the best investment ever!

Beans was good fun (it has a longer name but TS can only say "Beans"). It usually is. It's an indoor (and outdoor when weather permits) active play. They put out things for the kids to climb on, slides, balls, trikes, scooters, tunnels, etc. It's a chance to run around and climb. They didn't have the outside bit on today but there seemed to be fewer kids than normal so it wasn't too loud.

zoo, I've been tempted to recycle/shred said letter (it's just a notice to renew one of his professional organizations which, given he's a geek in the geek industry I'm sure he got via email) but I'm not sure I want a repeat of two weeks ago. I have to be careful now what type of recycling is on top the night he takes the bin to the curb so he doesn't start bin crawling to see what I've tossed.

Found out the Children's Center will take my unopened baby things (disposable feeding spoons, unused spouty cups, etc) as a donation so will take that bag of goodies with me next time we go to a group up that direction. It's not much but it will be more stuff/another bag out. YAY!

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 17:10

excellent scout or childrens centre also takes clothes 0-5yr,books and toys-if they cant rehome they put them on a table just inside the doors in a help-yourself-if-you-want-it way

has helped me dejunk loads and know its all gone where its needed

no ones about on parenting.will pop bak later see anyone replied

2 more disputes later im now going to attempt to make tea

hope carrots is ok

liveinazoo · 06/02/2012 17:11

shouldve been our not or.sorry-watching dd2 getting suspiciously close ds in a sly im about to attack way!

bessie26 · 06/02/2012 17:27

Hope the cottage pie goes well dlamis I love the parsnips in the mash top

I am SO tired. That snow shovelling has done me in! Hope DH will be home soon, I don't want to have to lift them both in & out of the bath!

Scout19075 · 06/02/2012 17:37

Does the urge to declutter/fling ever stop once it's been turned on? Toddler was eating his dinner and I've just decluttered the top drawer/cutlery drawer in the kitchen. Shock (It needed doing, mind, but hadn't planned on doing it during the witching hour.)
