Hi all, I have put away the dry washing and hanged the wet washing on airers.
I'll be glad when it's summer and I can hang it outside again. My yard is too shady at this time of year so nothing really dries out there.

I have also rescued the living room from 250 pieces of lego and other toys scattered about.Shock

I feel too tired now to do anything else so may leave it all till the morning.

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 16/01/2012 21:26

Would anyone like a Thorntons? They may not be here anymore by Friday!

carrotsandcelery · 16/01/2012 21:30

That sounds like a sudden blast of activity BlackCat.

I am watching American Horror Story with dh again so a Thorntons might just soothe my rattled nerves - thank you Grin

My jeans were very tight this morning though - I might have to switch to satsumas again Shock

Never mind - back to the stables on Thursday - that will burn off some of the excess. Yikes!

My DD calls satsumas matsumas. Toddler speak is so cute!

I hope you can go riding Thursday. We could be in for snow according to the countryfile forecast.

redlac · 16/01/2012 21:41

Did someone mention Thorntons??? Oh yes please to any toffee ones:)

After my day of activity on Saturday ive been a bit lax however today have done
Swish & swipe
Dressed to shoes
Packed lunches made
Breakfast & dinner made and dishes done
Load of towels washed and now drying

carrotsandcelery · 16/01/2012 21:47

I have had 3 satsumas. Hmm It is not quite the same.

I have just returned from grocery shopping. How sad is it that I ran into another mum I know (her son is a few months older than TS) and we both agreed the highlight to our day/week is grocery shopping at 10 p.m. sans toddlers. Blush I don't have the week's meals completely planned out but I have tomorrow's and Thursday's dinner sorted (we're at the inlaws for the weekend so don't have to plan further than Friday this week).

Eggrules · 16/01/2012 22:40

I grocery shop on tinternet. Around 10pm would be a nice and quiet I imagine.

Night all.

Scout19075 · 16/01/2012 23:07

I enjoy grocery shopping a little too much. Blush

bessie26 · 16/01/2012 23:28

I have done my meal plan for this week although I seem to be doing an awful lot of cooking, so hope to replace a few of them with meals from the freezer!

I haven't done much else really, packed DD1s bags for tomorrow, sorted the kids laundry into 2 trugs, wrote a xmas thank-you card (must get the last few done tomorrow) DH was watching the star gazing thing while I was meal planning & so it took ages as I kept getting distracted!

My most important job is to write the shopping list for DH. I used to do online shopping, but I get very frustrated with the websites (I used to write web pages) It all came to a head when I went online to add an extra pint of milk to my huge Sainsbury's order due to be delivered the next day. The site crashed & didn't come back up in time for me to check-out, so I lost my order & delivery slot Angry DH decided then that is was quicker & less hassle for him to go every week than for me to do it online - I didn't complain!!

Todays Babystep,

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 17/01/2012 06:45

Morning all,

I have roughly worked out a before school timetable and it worked a treat yesterday.Grin

Will catch up with you all later as I must crack on.

bessie26 · 17/01/2012 07:38

Thanks for the link BlackCat - this is one I always fail at, but MUST get better at!

Scout19075 · 17/01/2012 08:34

Who turned on winter and who gave them permission to? BRRRR. Days like today make me want to curl up under the duvet with a hot chocolate and cheesey DVDs. I don't want to fly but fly I must!

carrotsandcelery · 17/01/2012 10:01

Scout - flying will warm you up Grin

Today's babystep is something I have been working on since Christmas. I had slipped to putting my book down at about 1am (sometimes later) but have scraped it back. Last night I put my book down at about 11pm and still seemed to sleep ok. Yay! Ds slept until 6.15 as well which is AMAZING for him. Yay! Yay!

I have been dealing with electricians for the last hour and a half - very nice ones but it still disturbs your routine a bit. I got most of the early morning stuff done before they came though so I am not too messed up.

My ta das are:
washed & dressed
lunches made last night
dcs dressed & to school
dw emptied and reloaded
work tops more or less clean - needs another go
washing folded and put away
new load of washing on
cheque written & posted
bed made
whb swished - both

That's not bad when I write it down.

Today's mission is in the bathroom again

I am stuck here waiting for a TV repair man so hopefully will get some stuff done. I will be sociable later at one of ds's activities and I have a meeting tonight as well so I am sticking to my plan of getting out of the house a bit more.

I also need to consider "What's For Dinner?" as we will be in and out after school a fair bit.

scout vacuuming always warms me up!

Scout19075 · 17/01/2012 10:13

I have decluttering the living room and playing with Toddler at the same time. Part of my problem is when my feet (and hands) are cold all of me is cold and then I don't want to move. LOL. I'm off to sort out TS's nappy and clothes so will continue in the bathroom while he plays on my bed (he likes playing on the bed with his trains and trucks and it means I can work upstairs).

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 17/01/2012 10:41

Cheers! Brew,

I am trying to warm up after a shower.

So far on my Ta DA's:

Breakfast
get dressed
DS to school
DD to nursery
cat litter tray done
and shower done.

carrotsandcelery · 17/01/2012 10:46

It was minus 10 here yesterday so today's minus 5 feels quite tropical. Grin I do have the heating on though and now the electrician has gone I can put on my big house jumper Blush

I have made Lentil Hot Pot for tea, with a sweet potato topping as an experiment. I am also experimenting with putting it in the slow cooker. Fingers crossed!

Now for the decluttering and zone work.

Brew first though Grin

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 17/01/2012 11:44

I have been working in my zone - I have washed all the door knobs, light switches (very carefully), ledges etc.

That led on to emptying the main bathroom cupboard, wiping it out, chucking out what needed to be chucked and reorganising what we were keeping. We seem to have an awful lot of half finished toiletries so that will help the budget. Grin I also go into wiping down the cupboard fronts and then realised that is tomorrows mission. I still have the ensuite for tomorrow though so no skiving off here.

Four rounds of "Sleeping Bunnies" with Toddler aided in the warming up. However, he's napping now and I'm eating my sandwich/checking emails and I'm cold again. Sad It was -4 when I went to the store last night at 10 p.m. I think there's still frost on the ground. Brrr.

Ta Das include:
breakfasted & lunched Toddler
put dinner in the slow cooker
15 minutes declutter/fling thing -- living room
10 minutes declutter/fling thing -- Toddler's bathroom
packed swimming bag including snacks for TS & his best friend

To Dos include:
swimming
taking recycling & trash to bins (bin day tomorrow so will do it tonight before bed)
make gift for friend in Canada
prepare package for mailing to Canada
washing up

Again, BRRRRR.

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 17/01/2012 12:28
Grin

I am sat warming up with a cup-a-soup. We are on lunch break here.

I will have to go out again though in the cold as we need bread and milk.

I have washed up x1 and sorted 1 load to go in washing machine.

Scout19075 · 17/01/2012 12:32

Ooooohh, shiney. Grin

carrotsandcelery · 17/01/2012 12:37

Yay! Stickers!

The sausages sound yummy Scout. I hope you enjoy.

Are you Canadian Scout. I think you did tell us before. If so what part of Canada are you from? I have been to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver (and through the Rockies) as we have a lot of family in Canada (as most Scots do). It was 1986 that I went mind you so it has been a while Grin
