As far as Christmas goes, I don't know any different so I don't expect any different so it is not that big a deal. It is harder on dh who grew up without that sort of angst on Christmas day.

I am heading out to a coffee morning which could prove interesting. The last time I had coffee with this crowd one of the ladies got very graphic about her love life at 10am! I hope I can cope after all the last night.

I have baked and done lunches and hung some washing and got the dcs to school. I need to do the dishwasher and worktops and pack an ebay parcel before I go. That might be it for today as I am hardly in the house for the rest of it.

am jealous of the carrots DH is out on the piss with his friends tonight & DD2 was up 3 times last night So I don't think I'd better have any tonight or I will be asleep on the sofa after a few mins! I was hoping for a nap this arvo, but by the time i'd done all my chores, it was almost time for DD2 to wake up. (DD1 is having her usual mega friday afternoon sleep to recover from the week!)

I have been quite busy today (most of it out of the house).
Went food shopping this morning and I have started Christmas shopping .
And I have wrapped 3 presents . This is normally unheard of for me as I have always been a last minute Christmas shopper/wrapper.

DS had a school Christmas fair today too so we were out at that too.

I am going to visit FlyLady for some inspiration in a minute as I need to clear the kitchen of dinner stuff.

Well, I am feeling very pleased. I have FINALLY e-mailed everyone with our Christmas lists and I have ordered my first present. I don't have too many to buy as DH has bought his own for me to give him already.

I'm rewarding myself with a small piece of cake and then will go and hang out the washing before I go to bed.

I'm hoping for a better night's sleep than last night. I've turned on the heating to see if that makes any difference to DS's ability to settle by some means other than lying face down across my chest.

DH joked that we should put the frozen food in the bedroom to keep cold, and DS and I could sleep in the kitchen as it'd be warmer.

DH is taking DS out tomorrow morning so I will need to decide which jobs are the most urgent and try to blitz them.

Morning all! Well done getting going with Christmas Angel. I keep remembering things I still need to get with a nasty jolt. I am definitely opening a Christmas bank account for next year and getting dh to put a direct debit into it each month. It probably won't cover it all but surely it would stop it being such a shock to the bank account in November and December. I am also sure Flylady would approve.

We are eating the contents of the cupboards and freezer which is economical but not clever where we live as we easily get snowed in during the winter.

I haven't done any flying yet today but will potter away.

Carrots They have said on the weather forecast that it could snow in Scotland and even higher up in the lake district on Sunday/Monday .
Just thought I would let you know in case you hadn't seen/heard the forecast.

I am clearing the bookcase. It's in the corner where the Christmas tree goes and DS keeps asking if we can put the tree up So I am attempting to do it this weekend.
I also have plenty of other jobs I need to be doing too.

I had a good sleep last night! DD woke once but I had gone to bed at around 9.00pm as I was very tired and got up around 6.30am so her waking didn't affect me too much.
I am trying to take note of FlyLadys habit of the month. This is something I need to get good at!

Thanks BlackCat I will keep an eye on things. I think we maybe should do a bit of a shop and stock up on non perishables just in case as it is a real pain when we get stuck and don't have the necessaries. When we are well stocked then it is LOVELY

We did our shop yesterday so we should be fairly o.k. although we have Asda down the road and town isn't too far from our house If it snows badly here though the lorries can't always get to our town because we are a long way away from the motorway and there is only one main road to get to our town. The other roads are quite rural.

Hope you get some food in Carrots just in case!

I have checked our forecasts and it is going to get really cold but there is now no mention of snow There was snow forecast beforehand though. How strange.

You have cheered me up a bit. I was with DH and the DC cause I was upstairs trying to put away the dry washing and sort some washing to go in the machine.(Have found it hard to do this all week cause DH has been working nights this week so in bed most of the day and we keep the laundry baskets in our room.)Anyway I asked DH to look after the DC while I went upstairs to do jobs. The DC were climbing all over each other (DS is twice the size of DD so I am worried she would get hurt) Then he let them watch a cartoon which is aimed at adults.
I came down and had a go at them all and said if they want to go to school/work in clean clothes they would need to behave so I could do my job!
There rant over.

Anyway someone on the weather threads has just said it is snowing on the A9 near Aviemore I'm guessing as they said Slochd.
Don't know if that is any use to you. I am just interested in where it is snowing. (Big kid emoticon)

Didn't get much housework done in my child-free morning, but I did do a good bit of shopping which was MUCH faster without DS.

A busy day tomorrow, off to London in the afternoon for a family event. We're going on the train - DS is very excited.

BlackCat sometimes they just don't get it do they. I am for you.
My dh winds ds up something chronic, even though he knows he is getting upset, then steps back and leaves me to deal with the fallout. He doesn't do it all the time but I do wonder what he is thinking when he does it.

Aviemore is an hour and a half to two hours from us and much higher up I think too. My dcs are desperate for snow. We are supposed to be going to Glasgow next weekend so I am hoping it waits until after that if possible.

Not much flying done here today. I did scour the dcs rooms for dirty laundry though and cook a mean curry, if I do say it myself

We are watching Suckerpunch now. I have very little idea what is actually happening.

Morning everyone.

No snow with me so far. It is a beautiful sunny day in fact.

So far today I have put the dishwasher on, cleaned the worktops and made gingerbread muffins.

I forgot to say that we did finally unearth the kitchen table last night although the dcs are fast cluttering it up again, as well as spraying lego all over the kitchen floor.

I am off for a hot soak in the bath, although I will clean it first so there will be some flying involved.

Hello all, we are decorating our Christmas tree today. DD is very excited about it!

No sign of snow here yet but we had rain this morning.

We went out to buy wellington boots this morning so we are prepared in case we do get snow.

I have been doing the odd pottering job, in between taking ds to a birthday party and making a few phonecalls.

There is still Lego everywhere and no snow, although I have seen cars with snow on them and a friend 20mins from me said they had snow. We must be in a little warm pocket!

I have stopped for a tea break before I start on the bedtime baths etc.
No snow here either but I will be surprised if we get much here as we are about 5 miles from the sea. Although saying that we did get a lot last year and a bit the year before too.

IT'S SNOWING WOO HOO !

I seem more excited than the dcs. It is not forecast for us but it has come all the same. Yay!

Oooo Parsnips How Exciting! I love snow but I don't like driving in it.
Thankfully now though I don't have to drive DS to school as he changed schools this year so we walk there.
