Anon - I am Envy of your DCs, Ely is beautiful. Youngest DB was at Uni in Cambridge and we went to Ely a couple of times when I was up visiting him.
Hmmm, thinking about that has made me wish I was planning to go punting and drink Pimms today. How old do you think children need to be before you can take them punting? Pretty old I am thinking. Grin

Morning all

well wedding cake was a success in the end but I must have been so stressed as I was in bed and sleeping for 10.00 last night

ow to get house back on track, I have a back log of washing and the lovely sunny weather has dissappeared and I wanted to avoid tumble drier due to astronimical electricity bill Sad

PlumBumMum · 25/03/2011 11:35

Mini that all sounds awful, bad enough paying VAT twice without worrying about the safety of your account!!

JustKeepSwimming · 25/03/2011 13:53

Mini - missed it too, hope you get it sorted.

Plum - well done on another successful cake :)

Had scan - baby is head down so can stop worrying about that (for now) and placenta well up out of the way & baby looking like a good size.

minimammoth · 25/03/2011 13:54

Yep the fraud was made by being able to change a pass word, obv.the banks sytem is not as tight as they would like. The most humorous thing is that the account is in overdraft so they were stealing money we haven't got!!
i am not filled with confidence. Under matress safer.

AnonymousBird · 25/03/2011 14:04

Oh mini, someone accessed your bank account online, or used card details to get a payment out???? grief.

Ok, I don't feel very productive right now, but I have less than a week until DC break up Confused and just a crazy amount to do.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, hold the front page. Not just rendering but internal plastering today. Never in my unwildest dreams did I think those two words would get me quite so damned excited!!!!!

I feel I should just warn all to be extra vigilant. have messeged you Anon

minimammoth · 25/03/2011 16:46

Yay for plastering. It does become a recognisable possible home when that happens.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/03/2011 17:24

Anon that is very exciting about the plastering!

Mini - which bank is it?

AnonymousBird · 25/03/2011 18:09

Mini - you are so right about being vigilant.

Just a few minutes ago I received an email apparently from my bank saying "your account is now restricted" etc. Luckily it was so obviously NOT a genuine one, that I simply deleted it. But fraud is happening all the time, and it can happen to anyone, even if we think we are careful. Details out there.... people use and manipulate.

Plastering - i can't quite believe it!! But it's a kind of false promise because, although they plastered one room today, there aren't any more ready for plastering until middle of next week most likely. But it's a start, and it does mean the end is in sight. Smile

Anon. hope it is not too lengthy. My DH is in the building trade these days and I think this is the most stressful part of the build, as you think its going to be ready soon and all the twiddly bits take aaages.

AnonymousBird · 25/03/2011 18:16

Mini - 5 weeks left of builders on site (due to finish on Royal Wedding day/day before). Then approx/at least 7 more weeks of decorating/flooring/kitchen/carpets. That bit will take a long time because you can't have armies of people all over it in the way the builders do, it needs to be A then B, then ooo, wait a bit, then C etc.

JustKeepSwimming · 25/03/2011 18:20

Morning :) Due date today!!

Not really doing a list, although DH has one that I've made him on a piece of paper downstairs Grin

I am having my last lazy day for probably about a year!! DH is about to bring me a bacon sarnie in bed, a friend is coming over for coffee this morning, and I'm planning to watch the cricket and have a nap later and then takeaway for tea.
Oh I need to make a birthday cake for my Mum for tomorrow, that is my one task :)

Have a lovely day everyone.

PlumBumMum · 26/03/2011 09:22

OMG Ali due date today I can't believe it time flies!!

I need to get on with some major housework today so I am going to try and stay away from computer!!

minimammoth · 26/03/2011 11:03

Ali. Good luck, are we to expect 'happenings' or is it definately the cesarian option?

JustKeepSwimming · 26/03/2011 11:37

Happy Due Date Ali :)

37 weeks tomorrow for me so could have my home birth from then, though PIL arriving tomorrow for 1 night and i'd rather not have them in the audience!

Slightly peeved with DH as he announced this morning he has a work thing this afternoon and another tomorrow morning, grr. And this was after coming home at 6.40 last night (after party & dropping other friend off admittedly) to say he needed to be at work do at 7....i stood my ground i'm afraid and said no way, you will be late, the boys need a bath & bed & I need you to do it Blush
he did bless him, haven't asked how late he got there...

So may be inflating the pool on my own and swimming looks not so likely.

Weekend:

  • lots of rest for me Lie in DONE
  • DH i/c boys Did breakfast
  • inflate birth pool

AnonymousBird · 26/03/2011 14:00

Oh Ali - is it tomorrow then?

Lazy day here so far. Watched the F1 qualifying (DD is mad about F1), then started on the cricket. To be followed by England v Wales footy Hmm for DS, then watching DH playing second half of his rugby cup semi final (sounds grander than it actually is!) AND THEN the boat race. Thank God for sky plus hey?!

Tomorrow is DS's biggest rugby tournament of the season.

Phew. It'll be a sporting weekend.

Off to make lasagne, otherwise I will just sit in front of the TV ALL DAY!

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/03/2011 15:12

Mini it will be a c-section unless things start happening and move rapidly between now and Monday morning! I'm not sure I want them to now, it is Mum's birthday tomorrow and we are all set for a nice roast dinner and a little family party here for that.

Anon - Monday 8am - eeek! We are having a similar sport watching day here :)

JKS - well done for putting your foot down - I think I would be throwing an enormous tantrum about weekend work things at this stage of things! Is he going to be around more from now?
DH is on paternity leave now, but has decided to put his name forward for an internal promotion which would mean him working longer and weirder hours and being away more than he is at the moment. I want to encourage him, and I am because it would be great for his career and financially it would be a massive difference for us - but I am a bit Hmm about the timing!

I'm having a lovely day. Had a nap on the sofa, and am generally lolling about doing not a lot - except I was seized by the urge to clean the insides of all the windows. Have done what I can reach and now DH needs to do the rest Grin

JustKeepSwimming · 26/03/2011 18:15

He should be around from Thursday :) Odd bits of work away after that but only an hour by car/train. Then he has 2 weeks based locally (good timing on our parts lol!) when i hope baby will appear.

Pool has been inflated :)
And is now filling with water, may just have to get in for a wallow test later!
DS1 very excited.

Am peeved with myself now for agreeing to go out tonight, otherwise i could spend hours wallowing. Never mind, i may just have to get him to re-test it next weekend Grin

Oh and I stupidly agreed to do a square for Edgar's quilt, have done it but it's rubbish compared to those who've posted pics already.

Just a quick hello :) Really should be asleep but I am too nervous

I'm all packed and organised, census form is done, and everything here in reasonable order so that Mum won't be tearing her hair out trying to look after DS Grin

Will try and get DH to post an update once the baby is here! Eeek!

JKS - yes I had misunderstood re. the pool - couldn't envisage how you would manage to keep the boys out! Grin If you pop while I'm away - good luck and I hope you get your smooth HB :)

Spacehoppa · 28/03/2011 09:18
