JKS - yay for DS1! :) I don't know how you still have the puff for orchestra, I'm not sure I could get a note out of my clarinet at the moment!! Grin

DH was being so weird about the new fridge. Normally I'm the one with the purse strings held tightly in this house so it was v.strange to have him saying 'hang on'. If it wasn't quite so expensive then I would just have ordered it, but it is a lot to spend without agreement Grin

TODAY
DH to work mega early - done

Spatone + vitamins - done
Breakfast and tidy kitchen - done
Make beds and tidy upstairs - done
Tidy downstairs - done
Go to friend's for lunch and playtime for DS - done

JKS. Aw. Good for him. Can't get my head straight at the mo. Have been working on the computeer all day, and feel I've achieved nothing. Meetings and stuff tomorrow, must apply myself.

JustKeepSwimming · 16/03/2011 06:00

Ali - I often don't! If it's a piece I'm confident with i just do the fingering and save my breath. I figure i probably won't make many rehearsals next term and will turn up for the July concert so these weeks are my last proper practices!
I often have to stop and just catch my breath as i get light-headed v quickly.
Only 2 or 3 more til the end of term though :)

DS2 up from 5.23...

JustKeepSwimming · 16/03/2011 10:20

Morning all :)

Am feeling a bit gutted this morning, the new next-door neighbours have got men in to cut down trees, i expected them to chop down loads of lleyandii (sp?) that the previous one put in before we arrived but they've gone for the 3 beautiful mature trees along their back fence.
I dont get it at all, they should have at least waited to see how lovely they are in spring/summer/autumn, and they'll be totally overlooked by the houses at the back. And we will be a bit more overlooked too :(
Chainsaw has hardly stopped all morning.
They're also doing something with the front driveway, mostly has involved a digger digging up the garden & a man bashing down the old wall at the front.

Wed:

  • all up & breakfasted DONE
  • all dressed DONE
  • sch runs DONE
  • bath DONE
  • get properly dressed
  • try and prioritise jobs (baby room, statement, presentation, etc)

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/03/2011 10:49

JKS - that sounds sad about the trees :( We have some lovely ones in our garden, and I'm sure some people would get rid of them but I love the privacy and one is a beautiful flowering cherry that comes out around my birthday normally. I adore it, even though it sheds things all over the washing for about 6 months of the year :)

I'm not sure whether I might be in labour today Confused I was induced with DS so I don't know what to expect. Loads of tightenings, some are BHs but others are more in my back and then spreading. All very irregular though so perhaps nothing, but DH is working at home just in case!

JustKeepSwimming · 16/03/2011 11:01

Ooh Ali - have you found the contraction master website? it's v handy for timing weird & irregular stuff :)
a tad Envy though, i want to in labour, well in a few weeks!

And i'm sure i'm over-reacting about the trees but with the constant drone of a chainsaw i can't stop thinking about it, the men have moved onto the lleylandii at the sides now, which i can understand but if the cut back all the boundary bushes (some not lleylandii) our garden will lose so much privacy.

Oh bloody hell. Just found out that a friend has had 3rd miscarriage in a row :( She has a little girl who is just 2.

This is a different friend to the one who lost her first pregnancy so late on last year.

Sat here sobbing now, life is so unfair sometimes :(
